Alpha-H Today's Special Value on QVC

I am a huge fan of Alpha-H and there have been some incredible launches recently including Hyluronic8 and the Blemish Control Mask. Over the past few years, I have really enjoyed getting to know the products and understanding which ones will work with my own skin. The first item in this TSV is the Balancing Cleanser which has been supersized to 500ml - This has been a cleanser I loved from the very first use and it is one cream cleanser I always have in my bathroom.  Free from drying detergents and SLS's, this cleanser works as a 3-in-1 treatment - a makeup remover, cleanser and toner all in one. 

Enriched with Aloe Vera to condition and soothe alongside Vitamin E to hydrate and neutralise free radicals. It is suitable for all skin and after using I absolutely love how my skin feels, instead of being dry or taut it is instead cleansed and smooth so I don't feel the need to smother my skin in as much moisturiser as possible.  Also, because this version is supersize and comes with a pump, I have found it really easy to use because one pump is enough!

The second item is the Liquid Gold Firming Eye Cream which has been supersized to 30ml - Described as being the ultimate topical dermal corrector for the eye area with quadruple peptide technology. Using a complex of seven skin brighteners, illuminating Diamond Powder and Lime Pearl Extract which is a new natural source of gentle fruit acids derived from Caviar Lime found in the rainforests on the Australian East Coast. What I really love about this cream is the metallic rollerball applicator which, as you can see is made up of five small ones on this Supersize version. However, not only are the rollerballs instantly cooling on contact with the skin, but this rollerball also helps to reduce fatigue whilst stimulating lymphatic drainage to target puffiness and dark circles.

Alpha-H Lip Perfector - Nude Blush

Whenever there is a new launch from Alpha-H, it is going to be a good one and new to the family comes the Absolute Lip Perfector in Nude Blush (£19.95).  Right now with the weather coming in with a different storm every week moving from Ciara and Dennis we are awaiting the arrival of both Ellen and Francis before Gerda and Hugh make their appearances!  My skin doesn't cope too well with the everchanging weather and as I suffer from something called Barometric headaches, sometimes all I want to do is lay in bed and sleep the day away.

What I have loved about this Absolute Lip Perfector is how it feels when it has been applied to the lips.  I take issue with balms which leave your lips feeling as though you have just rubbed a block of lard on them, I also don't like sticky or tacky balms.  I want a lip balm or product that sinks into the skin of my lips to add that missing moisture, to help repair and protect from the inside out and where possible just do the job it is meant to do.

Alpha-H Liquid Gold Firming & Hydrating Collection

Launching on QVC at 9pm on August 15th, Alpha-H have a very special collection launching as a TSV (today’s special value) to celebrate their 15th anniversary of being in the UK and it is one you don't want to miss, whether you are a fan of Alpha-H or are yet to discover them.

Alpha-H Rose Gold Hydrate & Glow Collection - A QVC TSV

I have been using this product for years, it is literally the best antidote to use when your skin just feels absolutely horrendous! Originally launched back in 2017, this Limited-Edition Liquid Gold Rose has been supersized to a 200ml bottle!

If you have never tried or come across Liquid Gold before, not only is it where the Alpha-H story began, but it is THE product everyone that I know of, has come across. It is described as being a powerful nighttime resurfacing treatment, and it works to tighten and revitalise tired, ageing skin as well as helping to radically improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, open pores and acne-prone skin conditions. Formulated with some amazing ingredients, you will find the likes of Liquorice which helps combat acne and hyperpigmentation and Glycolic Acid (derived from sugar cane) which works to jump-start the skin's metabolism - refining its texture by dissolving the bonds that hold dead skin cells together, so they're sloughed away. I am really picky with balms for the lips, I really am not a fan of that Vaseline texture, the one which leaves your lips feeling as though you have rubbed them across a block of lard, this one is neither greasy or tacky on the lips, it glides on smoothly and it does produce a slight tingle, as you get when you use a product with Peppermint as an ingredient for your lips. I like how my lips feel when this has been applied.

Finally to complete this collection we have the Essential Hydration Cream. This has been one of my favourite creams of late and it is described as being one which soothes, repairs and revitalises lacklustre complexions and it is suitable for even delicate skin types.  Having spent a lot of time in front of the computer screen, more than I would usually do if I was in the office, with face to face meetings now being online Zoom, Teams or whatever other system it is that we use, I've noticed my skin has felt really dry, despite continuing with my skincare routine.

Alpha-H Hyaluronic 8 - A dermal filler, but not as you know it!

Alpha-H is a skincare brand that excites me, I don't mind admitting that.  Each new launch means something new, something a little bit different and something I didn't know I needed until I had it.  Best known for Liquid Gold, the cult product that is just so good, it is no wonder it sells so well all of the time, Alpha-H has a new addition to their family called Hyaluronic 8.

Tom Ogden, European Business Manager for Alpha-H, best known to Alpha-holics as Tommy Alpha, spent an evening with a few of us to explain about this latest edition. • Hydranov works to take it beyond just adding moisture of its own courtesy of its ability to boost your skin’s own natural Hyaluronic Acid synthesis by some 211%. This increased moisture helps to better hold cells together. As a result the appearance of lines and wrinkles are softened.
• New molecular complex, Patch20 is clinically proven to swell the skin’s moisture reservoir on contact and provides a sustained level of hydration for up to 48 hours.
• Biotechnological complex Cube3’s primary ingredient is Sodium Hyaluronate; the sodium salt of Hyaluronic Acid which is able to hold up to 1000x its own weight in water. Thanks to its smaller molecular size, it penetrates the deeper layers of the skin, thus encouraging softer, smoother skin and an all-round fuller appearance.
• Modern skin aggressors blue light, pollution, and radiation can damage the skin’s natural barrier function. Suitable for all skin types, Hyaluronic 8 is a product that has just fit into my routine and thanks to the inclusion of a pipette, it is even easier to use.

All you need is 2-3 drops of the serum each morning to a freshly cleansed face, neck and décolletage. What I have noticed with my skin since using this is the level of dryness on my cheeks is not as prominent. Usually, you can see a bit of flaking, especially on my left cheek, where I have dry skin, whilst it is still there, it isn't as noticeable and my foundation applies so much better and has very few bits of dry skin to grab hold of and sit on.

The serum is textured exactly as you might expect it to be, much runnier than a fluid and a cream, so those 2-3 drops really do go a long way.  On contact with the skin, the serum once patted on, disappears really quickly and leaves nothing behind, what you will immediately notice is how plump your skin looks and feels.

Alpha-H 3 Piece Radiant Skin Collection including 200ml Liquid Gold

If you hadn't guessed by now that I absolutely adore Alpha-H, I don't know how I could make it more obvious. Over the past few years, I have really loved getting to know the products and understanding how best to use them with my own skin, much of that advice coming from both Tommy and Michelle themselves. The Balancing Cleanser (200ml) – I loved this cleanser from the first use and am glad to have another one in my stash. If you like a cream cleanser, then this is a really creamy cleanser which is free from dying detergents and SLS's. Not only does it remove absolutely every single trace of makeup that is on your face, including that hard to budge waterproof mascara but it also works as a 3-in-1 product - how? Well, it essentially acts as a makeup remover, cleanser and toner all in one. Enriched with aloe vera to condition and soothe alongside vitamin E to hydrate and neutralise free radicals, after using I love how my skin feels. rather than being dry or taut it is instead cleansed and smooth so I don't feel the need to smother my skin in as much moisturiser as possible.

Liquid Gold 200ml Supersize – Again, you might have noticed that this bottle of joy has had itself a little bit more of a makeover.  I have to confess, I am loving the minimal look white packaging and gold letter of the Alpha-H brand (despite my camera flash not showing it). Liquid Gold is possibly the most known product from the Alpha-H line up and if you haven't tried it, you should. Described as being a powerful firming serum, this works like an 'overnight facial' to tighten and revitalise tired, ageing skin and radically improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, open pores and acne prone skin conditions. Liquorice helps combat acne and hyper-pigmentation, whilst Glycolic Acid (derived from sugar cane), jump-starts the skin's metabolism - refining its texture by dissolving the bonds that hold dead skin cells together, so they're sloughed away with your morning cleanse to reveal a more luminous, glowing complexion. Recently I discovered that you can use Liquid Gold all over the body and not just the face to remove dead and dry skin cells, so that is exactly what I am doing!

The final product of the TSV is the brand new Alpha-H Essential Skin Perfecting Moisturiser and as I have only just got my hands on it, there will be a full review of it coming.  

Described as being a revolutionary new generation moisturiser, it is a 5-in-1 product which moisturises, primes, shields against blue light and pollution as well as filtering UV light! It has an SPF15 and packed full of scientifically validated antioxidants and is complemented by antioxidant stimulating and skin shielding ingredients. It has a non-greasy, non-whitening formulation and I absolutely love the velvety texture and how quickly it absorbs into the skin.  This is a product to definitely try and get your hands on!

To use you simply need 1-2 pumps of the serum just a few night a week and you apply it to 

clean dry skin. Massage over the face, neck and décolletage, taking care to avoid the delicate eye and lip areas. It is said that your skin may exhibit a slight warming sensation and may tingle momentarily. Allow the serum to dry and then apply your Liquid Gold 24 Hour Moisture Repair Cream and it should be used on an alternate night to Liquid Gold Rose and not to be used during pregnancy.

The final item in this amazing trio is a 50ml Liquid Gold 24 Hour Moisture Repair Cream. Again, I haven't yet opened this and I am absolutely dying too because it sounds amazing. Described as being a luxurious, transitional day-to-night moisturiser with contains handpicked ingredients such as Chia Seed, Squalane, Argan Stem Cells, Hyaluronic Acid, Avocado Oil, Matrixyl-6 Peptide, Lactic Acid, Glycolic Acid and 24 Carat Gold Flakes. The combination of Avocado Oil, Chia Seed, Hyaluronic Acid and Olive-derived Squalane immediately moisturise the skin, making it feel more smooth and supple. Naturally derived Glycolic and Lactic Acids exfoliate dead cells from the surface of the skin to give an instantly brighter appearance and light-reflecting 24 Carat Gold Flakes give radiance and luminosity.

To be used as cleansing, you should apply 2 pumps covering the face, next and décolletage. It works to brighten and enhance the appearance of lifeless, dry, ageing or sun-damaged skin with this nourishing moisturiser. The cream is also said to be particularly beneficial to apply to the neck and décolletage to help improve the appearance of crepey skin day and night.
