Cult Beauty x Sali Hughes Beauty Box

The collaboration boxes from Cult Beauty, such as the Female Founders Edit are just as amazing as the Gift With Purchase offerings and next to join the offering is another box with Sali Hughes and it is incredible!
Cult Beauty x Sali Hughes Beauty Box
The last Cult Beauty x Sali Hughes Beauty Box went on sale last year and it featured many amazing brands - Drunk Elephant, Dr Dennis Gross and Bioessence to name a few.  These boxes are always worth a lot more than their on sale value and they sell out really quickly.

This box, which is worth almost £210 will go on sale for £125. Inside as you can see is a mixture of skincare products, plus the inclusion of a Jo Loves Candle. The rest of the contents are as follows:

SIORIS CLEANSE ME SOFTLY MILK CLEANSER

It is no secret that I am a huge fan of K-Beauty products and I even have a little directory dedicated to the products I have tried. The latest brand, Sioris, is one that I was kindly sent before Christmas and I wanted to use them for some time before sharing my views.
SIORIS CLEANSE ME SOFTLY MILK CLEANSER
The first products from Sioris is the Cleanse Me Softly The Milk Cleanser. I am a huge cleansing fan and it is the favourite part of my skincare routine without question. I use balms, oils, lotions, milks, wipes, waters and more. Having combination oily skin, I am always looking to use products which don’t strip my skin and thus definitely doesn’t. The Sioris Cleanse Me Softly Milk Cleanser is said to suit all skin types because of its gentle 5.5 pH, thus it is designed to cleanse the skin without stripping it of its natural oils.

As well as having a low pH, this cleanser is comprised of all natural ingredients and is described as being nutrient-packed and are all sourced in Korea. Ingredients include:
  • Organic Fruit Water (derived from green plum or yuzu), which is packed with nutrients, minerals and vitamins to help to revitalise a skin
  • Macadamia Seed Oil which help nourish and leave skin feeling supple, plus it is high in anti-oxidants and fatty acids.
  • Plant-derived surfactants which work to leave skin healthy and hydrated, rather than tight and dry.
So expect to also see the likes of Aloe Vera, Broccoli, and Niacinamide included within the ingredients list of this cleanser.

The Cleanse Me Softly Milk Cleanser can be used as a first cleanser and/or second cleanser depending on your routine, my preference is as a second cleanse in an evening. The texture is just as I had expected, it feels like a lotion and isn’t as runny or water-like as previous milk cleansers that I have used.
SIORIS CLEANSE ME SOFTLY MILK CLEANSER
On the skin, you only need a few pumps of the lotion, it does have silky and smooth feel to it and there is a slight fruity scent to it, which must come from the use of fruit water, divine. Rinsing it off using lukewarm water, leaves no residue on the skin, there is also no tightness, no irritation, no stinging just clean feeling skin. There is nothing at all to dislike.

The packaging is clean and has quite the luxurious aesthetic to it and as well as being cruelty-free and Vegan. Priced around £25 for 125ml it isn’t cheap, but it isn’t overly expensive either, it sits nicely within the mid-priced bracket.

How You Can Improve Your Skin This Spring

How you can improve your skincare routine

We are finally coming out of the cold and dark months of winter and into springtime. No longer will our faces be covered up with thick woollen hats and scarves. Instead, we will be looking to feel the sun on our skin. It is the time where we crawl from inside our homes and head to salons where we fill out Eyelash Extension Consent Form documents, get our brows dyed, fix our nails and generally aim to look our best and freshest selves. And this is why it is important to improve your skin this spring. No matter if you have dry, oily or combination skin there are always things you do to improve it, particularly as it struggles against the weather changes. Here are the top ways that you can improve your skin this spring…

  1. Have a tailored skincare routine

No two people’s skin is the same and that is why it is so important you have a tailored skincare routines. After all, what works for one of your friends might not necessarily work for you. Figure out exactly what type of skin you have, whether it is dry, oily, or a bit of both and get the products that cater to this. Check out the ingredients and allergens and try to aim for the ones that are the most natural. You will want to try and cleanse, tone and moisturize for the best effect. At a bare minimum ensure that you always clean your makeup off before bed and use a good moisturiser.

  1. Drink more water

While this might feel like an age-old tale, it is vital that you drink more water for your skin to look its best. You want to aim for eight glasses of day. To make it more interesting you could add fruit such as strawberries or lemons to your water to give them a bit of flavour. These fruits are also packed with vitamins and antioxidants that can help give your skin an extra boost. Drinking water helps to keep you hydrated and flush out any toxins from your body - you will soon notice the difference it has on your complexion.

  1. Use an SPF

The last thing you want is for your skin to go wrinkly and patchy due to being overexposed to the sun's harmful rays. To avoid this it is imperative that you use sunscreen with an SPF in it to protect your skin. You can also get moisturizers and foundations that have SPF which will give you further protection, even if you forget to put sunscreen on before you head out. Be sure to check the SPF of your makeup before buying as this is a necessary ingredient, particularly in the spring and summer when the sun is more powerful.

These are just a few ways that you can improve your skin this spring. What are some top tips and rules that you always try to adhere to? Let me know in the comments below, I would love to hear from you.

Ark Skincare Intensive Hand & Nail Cream

I have always been a habit-applier of hand cream, like lip balm, it is a product which is always in every hand bag, on my desk, on the bedside table and even on the shelf in the bathroom. I go through tubes of it, perhaps more so since the start of lockdown when the over-use of a potent bacteria killing hand gel has been used more and more.
Ark Skincare Intensive Hand & Nail Cream
From Ark Skincare, a brand, who if you haven't heard about them you need too, comes the Intensive Hand and Nail Cream, which is just divine.  This cream is so good that is ideal to be used on both sensitive hands and irritated hands, especially if they are chapped and sore.

What I love about this cream is the lovely thick texture, which absorbs on contact with the skins own temperature and as it does so, it just leaves behind the most lovely soft and smooth skin with the most beautiful of fragrance, which is 100% natural.

With products such as this, I am always intrigued by the ingredients used and this hand cream is pack full of such wonderful inclusions.

Ingredients

  • Raspberry and Cocoa Butter – This duo work together to provide intense hydration.
  • Omega Fruit Lipids – Fabulous skin conditioner from a blend of Grapeseed, Kiwi and Blackcurrant.
  • Red Algae – The addition of red algae helps to target pigmentation and brown spots – which can be caused by sun exposure and hormonal change.
  • Keratin Amino Acid – The friend to your nails and it works to strengthen nails to reduce breakage
As you can imagine, with all of these amazing ingredients, not only does it soothe dry and irritated skin, it also helps to protect against moisture loss too. Lightweight, non-greasy this Intensive hand and nail cream is just delightful and a handbag, desk, bedside table or side of the sink must-have!
