4 Top Cosmetic Treatments to Consider in 2021

Are those crow’s feet starting to get you down? Perhaps you have never been happy with the shape of your nose? Maybe your smile isn’t quite as bright as it was once before? Whatever the situation is, it’s common for people to consider going down the cosmetic treatments route.

After all, cosmetic treatments have the potential to provide a person with a welcome confidence boost. They could even go as far as completely changing someone’s life for the better. However, going with a cosmetic treatment – particularly one with permanent results – is a massive undertaking.  To help with the decision, this quick guide will detail four top cosmetic treatments to consider this year.

1. Eyebrow tattooing/microblading
Eyebrow tattooing and microblading are two ways to gain permanent eyebrow makeup. Both techniques are similar, with them delivering realistic eyebrows that last for approximately three years with annual retouches.

For either tattooing or microblading, prices can be found around the £500 mark.

2. Veneers
If you have wonky, misshapen, or yellow teeth, you want to do everything you can to flash a smile. To change your entire mindset and get a smile worth showing, you can choose to go with veneers and veneers London is a great choice. Veneers are covers that are placed directly over your teeth, hiding any blemishes and supplying instant results.

Porcelain veneers can set you back between £500 and £1,000 per tooth, and they usually last upwards of 15 years.  However,  dental surgeon does have a duty of care and standards that they must adhere too, should you be affected by any work that you are not happy with, dental negligence for compensation can be sought.

3. Liposuction
Have you developed unwanted body fat after an unproductive 2020 stuck in your home? Rather than months of dieting and exercise, a quick fix can be found in the form of liposuction, where fat deposits are removed. The NHS reveals the cost of liposuction can start at around £2,000 and go up to £6,000.

4. Botox
When it comes to non-invasive cosmetic treatments, the leading light is Botox. Well-known for being an injectable treatment that relaxed facial muscles, it can give your face an instant refreshed appearance.

Botox prices vary from £100 to £350. While affordable when isolated, it is recommended you maintain Botox treatments every three months or so.

Are cosmetic treatments affordable?
Obviously, there is no clear answer to this question. This is dependent on two main aspects: your personal finances and the treatment you choose. While certain treatments are small and affordable for most budgets, others can venture into four and five-figure totals.

Fortunately, there are various financing routes to choose from if you don’t have the money ready to go in your bank account. One pick is to go with financing offered by the clinic where you’re receiving the cosmetic treatment. Credit cards are another option, as is taking out a personal loan.

Due to the flexibility on offer, a loan can sometimes be the best choice. You can pick the right loan for you in terms of length and money borrowed. Even those with bad credit can be successful in their applications. See CashLady’s small loans page for more information.

If you do go down the financing road, however, ensure you have the means to make your repayments on time and as agreed upon.

Aldi Lacura Miracle Oil

I think the title is a give away as to what product features within this post! The Aldi Lacura Miracle Oil was kindly gifted to me to try and I’ll be honest, I’m loving it. Again, you might have seen that this is described as being a dupe for the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream all over Miracle Oil, which I’ve reviewed here, but whilst they are similar, they are different.
Aldi Lacura Miracle Oil
This oil, which is for the face, body and hand is said to have the benefits of intense hydration and moisturisation. Formulated to relieve dry and rough skin, bring new shine to dry, dull hair and deliver instant radiance, this oil claims to leave no residue behind so you can enjoy your new hydrated appearance. Quite the bold claim!

Packaged in a 50ml spray bottle to make the application much easier and straightforward, this versatile oil with its multi-tasking formula can be used as follows:
  • For the face - Apply a thing layer onto clean skin and lightly massage in
  • For the body - Apply the oil into your body after showering and lightly massage in
  • For the hair - Apply a light mist onto damp or dry hair
From those directions there is a whole list of benefits to using this oil, which include:
  • Added moisture for the skin and face
  • Relief for rough and dry skin
  • Relief for dry, chapped cuticles
  • Added shine to dull, lifeless hair
  • Can be used after shaving
  • Works as a massage oil to help de-stress
At just £5.49, as opposed to £29, again this is worth picking up to try if you find it in your local Aldi store, or even online.

As mentioned, this oil does come in a spritz bottle, but when used, I always find one pump is enough to cover an entire arm, it does give a lot of product in one go. My preferred uses are for use after shaving my legs and for use as a massage oil, particularly on my back and shoulders.  It does have a lightweight formula which absorbs into the skin relatively easy with massaging, plus there is also a slight floral scent which I really like. It isn’t greasy or tacky when applied either, so more bonus points for Aldi here too.
Aldi Lacura Miracle Oil
The ingredients list for both Aldi and Elizabeth Arden are similar in that they both contain Sunflower Seed Oil, Rice bran oil, Grape Seed Oil, Rosemary Leaf Extract, Ginger Root Extract plus Olive and Avocado oils to name a few, the difference however is they appear in different orders of the ingredients list. So, as with the Lacura Miracle Cream, the same could be said of this oil in that you are getting the same, but different.

The next time you find yourself in the middle aisle of Aldi and this Miracle Oil has made an appearance, it is worth trying out, the price alone makes it tempting!

GLOSSYBOX PRETTY PLEASURES BOX - MARCH 2021

There really is no stopping Glossybox with these amazing boxes that are on offer right now. For March the theme is Pretty Pleasures.
GLOSSYBOX PRETTY PLEASURES BOX - MARCH 2021
So far this year, Glossybox has launched an incredible amount of limited edition boxes! From Generation Glossybox, the Mothers Day edition, the Glossybox Easter Egg and plus a collaboration with Closer and Bella Magazines all within recent weeks!

The Pretty Pleasures Box features five products which is very makeup orientated which I find quite exciting and the products featured are all ones I would and have used.

The first product comes from Figs and Rouge with the Satin Soft Blurring Primer & Finishing Fix.
GLOSSYBOX PRETTY PLEASURES BOX - MARCH 2021
Designed to blur and minimise shine, this primer is said to keep your skin fresh and flawless.  If like me you have combination oily skin, products such as this one are your best friend. With its unique pore minimising and anti-blemish properties. It also includes some key ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid which plumps and maintains moisture levels throughout the day, then there is Arctic Cloudberry extract which is packed with Omega 3 and 6 essential fatty acids alongside vitamins C, E and A. Then there is Marshmallow Roots Extract which hosts natural anti-inflammatory and antibacterial action.

The next item comes from So Eco with the Complexion Sponge which I have used many time and really like it.
GLOSSYBOX PRETTY PLEASURES BOX - MARCH 2021
Designed to give that flawless makeup up, this sponge is said to be suitable for use with cream and liquid products. Crafted from latex-based foam, this sponge has a specially shaped design for seamless blending plus a pointed tip for hard-to-reach crevices.

Up next from Nails Inc is a full sized nail polish in the shade Palace Gardens which is perfect for Spring.
GLOSSYBOX PRETTY PLEASURES BOX - MARCH 2021
GLOSSYBOX PRETTY PLEASURES BOX - MARCH 2021
Described as being a super glossy, long-lasting intense colour which comes with a really lovely short brush which allows for one swipe of the nail with the polish.  The shade itself is a really pretty pale blue shade.

Next from NYX Professional Makeup is an offering of three different products from the range and within my box is the Lip Lingerie Lipstick.
GLOSSYBOX PRETTY PLEASURES BOX - MARCH 2021
GLOSSYBOX PRETTY PLEASURES BOX - MARCH 2021
I have the shade Butter which sits firmly within the nude selection of shades and is referred to as being a Toffee Nude Gloss.

It has a doe-footed applicator which makes the application really easy and within the formula are delicate glitter particles which give the lips a bit of a shine, all without being sticky or tacky.

The final item within this months box comes from Beautaniq Beauty with the Nourishing Mascara.  As a brand, Beautaniq Beauty is one I have come to know via Glossybox.
GLOSSYBOX PRETTY PLEASURES BOX - MARCH 2021
GLOSSYBOX PRETTY PLEASURES BOX - MARCH 2021
Described as being intensely volumising, this nourishing mascara thickens, lengthens and adds curls for bigger, fuller looking lashes.  It contains a whole host of conditioning ingredients too, so you can expect to find the likes of Camelia and Almond Oil for example.  The mascara brush is an oversized thick brush which is designed to coat every lash, plus it holds just the right amount of formula as to not aid smudging and flaking.

So there you have this months box. Again, I do like the theme, it’s fun and I also love that there is a mixture of brands and of course whether you like skincare or makeup, there is the offering of both within this box.

As you will all know, Glossybox is a beauty box subscription service and it costs as little as £11 per month here*. If you have followed the Glossybox journey over the past year, then you will know that most boxes sell out super quickly, so I expect this one to do just that.
