PMD Kiss Lip Plumping Device | PMD Beauty

So the PMD Kiss Lip Plumping Device is one device I actually wasn't excited by, having been offered the chance to review it, I actually said it wasn't for me, but it arrived a good few weeks ago and I ignored it, leaving it sat there in a box unloved and unused, then boredom set in and I thought I would try it out.  I have no issue with how my lips are right now, I've never wanted fillers and those over-done baboon bum looking lips are just not for me, but maybe this could be!

PMD® Kiss is described as being:
A smart anti-ageing lip plumping treatment. It uses pulsating vacuum technology and specially formulated serum to create a fuller appearance of lip volume and restores youthfulness to lips. With daily use, PMD Kiss will boost collagen and create long-lasting plumped up results.
So as well as plumping the lips, it also has other uses, which personally appeal to me much more.  So with the promise of reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, there is also the promise to restore and revitalise your natural lip colour, which as we age we lose slightly and to get long-lasting results with all of this is obviously dependant upon daily usage

Using this device is really easy and it starts with the enclosed lip serum which you need to apply to both lips before using the device. Once it has been applied, you choose your preferred setting and the choice is fast or slow. Then switch on the power and place the pink Plumping Tip firmly and directly onto your lip creating a tight seal for suction, it is worth mentioning at this stage that the device is totally pain-free and whilst it does feel slightly weird, you quickly get used to the sensation.  I have found the best way of using my device is to imagine my lips in sections and then 'per section' leave the device on my lips for 15-30 pulses.

After using the device, there is a slight plumping of my lips and whilst I definitely did not get Baboon Bum Lips, the effects last for around an hour but it is said the more you use it, the longer the effects last with an increase in collagen production and lines around the lips looking less obvious.  With that in mind, it is a device I feel I should use for longer than 3 weeks but it is one that leaves me also sitting on the fence.  It is priced at £125 which isn't cheap but you can find it and further information here and also read the review written by Lucy over at Lucy Earnshaw for her view on the device.

Have you tried the PMD Kiss Lip Plumping Device?

Bedside Table Beauty

I am one of those nosy bloggers who likes to know what beauty products people keep in their handbags, take on holiday, pack for a long weekend, have in their makeup bag and what they have on their bedside tables. To that end, it isn't a post I have ever written and right now there is a whole host of exciting products I am using, so I thought it would make a good post!
Bedside Table Beauty
Bedside Table Beauty
I am lucky that I am sent some amazing products to try out and review and I like to really use something before it appears on my blog and right now, here is a little snippet of what you are likely to see appearing over the coming weeks and months.

Julep - Anyone who knows me, will know I adore Korean skincare and Julep is a new brand that I have been introduced too. Launching in the UK in January to QVC. At the minute I am pretty obsessed with the Love Your Bare Face Detoxifying Cleansing Stick which uses a blend of natural oils and fruit enzymes that removes dirt, oil, and impurities while gently exfoliating for a deep-down clean.
Bedside Table Beauty
Night Shift Deep Sleep Facial Mask which is a reparative moisture mask that does the heavy lifting while you’re fast asleep so you wake up to a brighter, smoother, and firmer complexion. Look out for the full reviews coming soon.

Moschino Fresh Pink Couture EDT - Moschino pink fresh couture is described as being the new, fresh floral fragrance for her and it is one I have really enjoyed wearing.
Bedside Table Beauty
Moschino Pink is edgy, definitely pink, slightly sassy and totally not what I was expecting from this fragrance.
Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara - After the excitement of Naked Heat we have Troublemaker, the brand new Urban Decay Mascara which arrived last week.
Bedside Table Beauty
Said to have a formula volumizes and lengthens as it separates, while the custom brush grabs onto lashes, curling as it coat

Jurlique Radiance 28 Day Renewal Programme - This is a two-step treatment from Jurlique which I am trailing over the course of the next 28 days.
Bedside Table Beauty
It has been specially formulated with botanical concentrates and is designed to help revitalise the skin.  Look out for the full review soon.

Jurlique Rose Love Balm - If you like a multi-functional balm which can be used pretty much everywhere, then Rose Love Balm is one to try.
Bedside Table Beauty

It can be used on lips, cuticles, elbows or dry areas on the body. The balm is non-greasy and it delivers antioxidant protection and hydration, whilst infusing skin with a luxurious fragrance of natural Rose.

Tropic Skincare Eye Roll-On - I do love a good eye cream and if comes with a stainless steel roller-ball applicator then I am guaranteed to already love it. Tropic has been a brand I have really been enjoying getting to know and they are such a great brand too.
Bedside Table Beauty
This Eye Roll-on, which uses a super-cooling blend of cucumber, arnica and ginseng extracts instantly hydrates and helps reduce puffiness and dark circles.

La Cleansing Mer Micellar Water - This is my second sample bottle of this Cleansing Water and I just love it, the best one I have ever tried.
Bedside Table Beauty
Described as being a cooling cleanser, it uses positively charged water molecules to micro-emulsifies makeup (even waterproof) and sweeps away impurities and pollutants while delivering the hydration and soothing synonymous with La Mer.

As you can see, my bedside table actually does have a purpose. There might not be room for a lamp and it definitely is not the tidiest of the bedside tables, but it does allow me to keep track of products I am using, store my makeup and of course have the odd candle burning too.

L.A.B.2 PRO MAKEUP BRUSH KITS

Until I used the L.A.B.2 Lash Out Loud Mascara Wands, which I reviewed HERE and happen to think they are fabulous, L.A.B.2 was not a brand that had been on my radar. Now I have two of their makeup brush kits which I am sharing with you today. L.A.B stands for Live and Breath Beauty and you are likely to find these brushes in BeautyMart, which for those of you who live in London, will find situated in Topshop on Oxford Street.
L.A.B.2 PRO MAKEUP BRUSH KITS
The two brush sets that I have are the L.A.B.2 I’m Turning Pro Brush Kit which retails for £20 and the L.A.B.2 Strokes of Genius Brush Kit which is priced at £17. Both sets of brushes come packaged in black and red boxes which really make then look sleek and stand out.  The L.A.B.2 brushes are made from synthetic bristles with what is called “FiberLuxe Technology” which is said to provide superior pigment pick-up and optimal release.

The I'm Turning Pro Brush Kit features four brushes which have soft-touch handles which help with gripping.

The four brushes inside the box are perfect for using every day for makeup application and they are a complete basic essentials set that anyone would need.  So we have:
  • Contour Brush: is shaped to sculpt, contour and highlight facial features for subtle definition and a soft-focus finish.
  • Foundation Brush: is slightly pointed for smooth, streak-free coverage for applying liquid foundation or concealer. The specially shaped end makes light work of the contours around the eyes and sides of the nose.
  • Buffing Brush: provides full coverage powder or mineral makeup application and can be used to soften any harsh lines for an airbrushed effect. Its smooth, rounded head works product into the skin until it’s invisible.
  • Eyeshadow Brush: shades and defines eyes depositing an even application of colour. Use the flat side of the brush to apply colour then the end to blend.

All of these brushes are a delight to use. I love the rubberised handles and they really do help with that grip and for £20 this is an exceptional value for money set of brushes.  On the handles, each brush is named so that you know what it is to be used for.

The Strokes of Genius Brush Kit contains 5 must have eye brushes and at £17, again for 5 brushes it is exceptional value for money.

Inside the box there is:
  • Eyeshadow Brush: for applying colour evenly onto the lid, crease and brow bone.
  • Crease Brush: is specially shaped for seamless blending. Use the tufted end and work back and forth into the crease
  • Brow & Eyeliner Brush: doubles up as a brow filler and for extra definition of lash lines.
  • Pointed Eyeliner Brush: is short and neat to deliver a precise, controllable line.
  • Brow & Lash Groomer: is a double-headed comb and brush for detailing the brows before or after applying colour.  With both combs and a spoolie, this is one helpful brush.

Again, if you had a limited knowledge of what each brush could and should be used for, on the back of the box is a quick tutorial on how to use the brushes and how each one works to perfect that perfect eye.

Do you own any LAB2 brushes?

Benefit Concealer Amnesty with House of Fraser

I'd like me you are a fan of Benefit Cosmetics and love concealer then I have something that might just interest you!
Benefit Concealer Amnesty with House of Fraser

Benefit Concealer Amnesty with House of Fraser
This October between 1st and 15th the Benebabes from Benefit have teamed up with House of Fraser for a concealer amnesty. All you need to do is drop off any used or old concealer and receive a brand new fun-size Boi-ing Airbrush Concealer for free... how good does that sound?

The Boi-ing Airbrush Concealer recently had a bit of a revamp and I actually love it. Described as having a lightweight, soft-focus formula which glides across skin, it gives a smooth, sheer-to-medium coverage that’s virtually imperceptible. It instantly minimising the appearance of dark circles and unevenness anywhere on the face and it also offers up to 10 hours of waterproof wear and creates an ‘airbrushed’ finish that leaves your complexion looking flawless from all angles.

What I love about this concealer is just how good the coverage is. I use it under the eye, on blemishes and find it especially good on ensuring my foundation doesn't cling to any dry skin. Available in shades light, medium and dark HERE it is worth trading in your old crusty concealer for a brand new one, especially if you have never tried Boi-ing before!

You can also read more about the whole collection from Chelsea over at ThroughChelseasEyes too.

Will you be taking part in this concealer amnesty with Benefit and House of Fraser?
