TOYL Night Workers Beauty Box

This months TOYL Beauty Box is titled ‘Night Workers’ and it features products from some amazing brands to work their magic whilst you sleep.

I am a big fan of products that I can apply to my skin to help it to recover, de-stress and let me wake up with my skin looking radiant.

The first item out of the box is one of my favourite products from Alpha-H and it is their Liquid Gold Midnight Reboot Serum (£74.99).

I have a full review of the serum on my blog if you want to read about it in more detail. Using a combination of Glycolic Acid (14%) and Granactive Retinoid (1%) in an industry first, this serum works to leave your skin visibly smoother, plumper as well as to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, stimulate collagen product and reduce redness to name just a few benefits. Next up from Temple Spa is the From Strength to Strength Nail and Cuticle Treatment (£12).

This Serum which is infused with a powerful blend of 65 minerals including calcium, zinc, Iron and magnesium which work to not only improve the condition of your nails but also those cuticles which, if you are anything like me, you neglect until they weaken and then need some TLC. This treatment serum, which has a fairly thick texture, absorbs really quickly and leaves behind nourished feeling cuticles.

Then finally we have the Rejuvenating Collagen Face Mask by BeautyPro (£5).

Described as being intensely hydrating, this mask works to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Using ingredients such as Green Tea Extract and Marine Collagen which are powerful antioxidants. This mask is also infused with Marine Collagen, which works in synergy with multiple vitamins, herbs and botanicals which come together to visibly improve skin’s tone and texture.

Liquid Gold Firming Eye Cream, 15ml – If ever there was an eye cream you need, especially if like me you don't get enough sleep, it is this one.  Described as being lightweight, this illuminating eye cream targets wrinkle depth, hyperpigmentation and reduces the appearance of under eye puffiness and dark shades creating a ‘softfocus effect’ with quadruple peptide technology. It also contains Australian Lime Pearl AHA’s which accelerates cell turnover to soften and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is a delight to use with its metallic applicator, even better if it has been in the fridge!.

Together this trio make quite the team and are a great introduction to Alpha-H as a brand if you are yet to board the Alphaholic bandwagon (affectionate term given to Alpha-H fans) and a great way to stock up if you need more Alpha-H in your stash!

Alpha-H Melting Moment Cleansing Balm

My beloved Alpha-H recently unveiled their latest product launch and I am so delighted that it is a cleanser. Anyone who knows me, either in real life or via whatever they read on their phones, will know that cleansing is by far my favourite part of a skincare routine! 

The Alpha-H Melting Moment Cleansing Balm is the newest addition to the Alpha-H skincare range and it joins a whole host of other products such as the Triple Action Cleanser and the Balancing Cleanser, both of which I absolutely love and have shared on this blog many times too. However, unlike those two cleansers, this one is a balm cleanser, the absolutely best kind of cleanser you can ever try on your skin as far as I’m concerned and with a name like Melting Moment, you can’t already imagine how amazing it is!

The Alpha-H Melting Moment Cleansing Balm is packaged inside the brands tell-tale product packaging being all white with black writing. It retails for just £34.95 and this tub contains 90g.

As you can see, the balm is a slightly light orange colour, not quite bright orange but definitely orange and the texture, a balm-to-oil formula is scented with a bespoke blend of natural and subtle citrus with Tangerine, Orange, Ylang Ylang, Yuzu and Vanilla - absolute heaven!

Anyone who is familiar with Alpha-H as a brand will know that their products always feature some amazing ingredients and this balm is no different. 

Key Ingredients

• Australian Wild Orange Leaf Extract – Native to inland Australia and rich in Phyto-Compounds including; Amino Acids to increase skin barrier function and Benzoic Acid and Phenolics which are high in antioxidants and promote skin cell renewal.
• Grapeseed Oil – This Vitamin E rich oil is known for its anti-inflammatory properties; helping to calm stressed skin. It is rich in antioxidants which can assist in protecting the skin from free radical damage.
• Australian Sandalwood Seed Oil – Rich in Ximenynic Acid, one of the rarest fatty acids in the plant world, this luxe natural oil is anti-inflammatory, increases micro-circulation and reduces excess sebum.
• Bisabolol – Extracted from Chamomile, Bisabolol is rich in Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5) and works to deeply hydrate the skin, reduce moisture loss and assist with reducing redness and irritation.

Quite the list and a task list that each ingredient his responsible for when it comes to looking after your skin.

To use this cleaning balm, the instructions are to apply it to dry skin and in doing so, gently massaging in circular motions. Once on the skin and you feel you have done everything you need, you can’t rinse off using a warm damp cloth, I like to use my Alpha-H cloths with this balm, they’re so delightful to use and I recently stocked up on more!  Once you have removed the balm from your skin, you can complete your skincare routine as usual.  If you wanted to have a much more indulgent use for this cleansing balm, then you can apply a layer to your skin and leave it to work it’s magic for around 10minutes as a treatment mask and then repeat the motion as set out above to remove from your skin!  After using, my skin always feels so soft and smooth to the touch as well as really hydrated and of course that zingy fragrance lingers nicely for some time. 

The Alpha-H Melting Moment Cleansing Balm is one I am absolutely obsessed with and I have a second tub waiting in the wings to be opened, which I grabbed from Cult Beauty with a recent order.

Inside we do have a 30ml bottle.  If you have never used Liquid Gold before, it is a product I have featured on my blog many, many times.  It is described as being a powerful night-time resurfacing treatment, works to tighten and revitalise tired, ageing skin as well as helping to radically improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, open pores and acne-prone skin conditions. Current Body - Here is an amazing offering of up to 50% off and im told this will get higher closer to Black Friday, so one to bookmark!

Deciem - Again, following their campaign for 2019 and 2020, Deciem is encouraging it’s customers to shop slowly and are offering 23% off everything for the whole of November.

Faace - From Friday 26th to Monday 29th November, they will be offering 25% off sitewide at wearefaace.com. Fiils - Special Green Friday Offer. From Friday 26th November to Friday 3rd December, they will be offering free aluminium bottles to store your refills and a washbag with orders over £60 plus free shipping. And that’s not all, to show how much they care about the planet, this stylish and sustainable bathroom brand will also plant two trees for every order.

Foamie -  the 100% plastic free sustainable skincare, haircare and body care bars is offering 33% off everything

Foreo - My beloved facial cleansing buddies are offering 50% off their products and it includes the Bear!

Fresh - Currently offering 20% off or 25% off everything with a £100 spend, the Black Friday deals are yet to be shared.

GHD - They are currently offering 20% off which is a pretty good deal already!

Glossier - They are offering fans a sneak peak into Black Friday offerings a daily early, but you need a secret code to gain access and to get that there is a waiting list to sign up to.

Green People - Green People are celebrating Black Friday 2021 with an 8 day-long, 25% discount across all ranges. The offer runs from 22nd to 29th November, inclusive. Simply use the code BLACK25 at the check-out. Free delivery on orders £25 and above. 

Kate Somerville - Currently offering 25% off sitewide with a free gift on a £100 spend.

Kiehls - There is already a few deals to be online with Kiehls, so if you are a fan of the brand then it is well worth having a look.

Net A Porter - They will have an offer running at 15% off on beauty from 26th November, just use the code BlackFriday.

Omorovicza -  They are offering 20% Off Sitewide using the code CYBER20 and if you spend £150, you will receive a full-sized complimentary 9 piece gift worth £210.

OPI - There is an offer of 30% off with OPI right now online and that offer has been extended to the entire range!

Paula’s Choice - Starting on 21st November, the Black Friday deals for Paula’s Choice are said to be immense and if you subscribe to their newsletter you can get £5 off your next order!

REN Clean Skincare - There is now an amazing offer of 25% off using the code BF25 plus a free gift when you spend £75 sitewide.

Revolution - There is always an offer from Revolution but currently it is 50% off and it includes Advent Calendars and Christmas gifts.

Selfridges - They don’t use the term Black Friday, but do offer a discount that coincides with Cyber Week and this year, you need to use the code SELFCCE for 10% off beauty & 20% off fashion.  There is currently up to 20% off some beauty products too.

Skin in Motion - From 24th-30th November there is a Black Friday offering of half price on kits and 25% off the full range site-wide using the code BF25 across the Black Friday period.

Space NK - For 2020, Space NK had some amazing deals and for 2021 there is an offering of 25% off from November 23rd and it includes brands such as Olaplex, Drunk Elephant and more.

Smashbox - They already have some warm-up Black Friday offerings online, but you can also sign up for VIP access and get 15% off whilst waiting for the sales once they start.

Superdrug - Getting in there early, the Black Friday deals kicked off on 3 November for its health and beautycard members, both online and in-store with up to 55% off across beauty, fragrance, electrical and more!

The Body Shop - They have usually got some incredible deals all year round, but to get your hands on some Black Friday deal alerts, there is a waiting list to sign up too.

Well Alpha-H have included their Liquid Gold Midnight Reboot Serum (15ml). A clever product that I have shared on my blog before. Mark’s & Spencer Beauty Advent Calendar 2021 - On Sale Now!

I have had so many people asking about this Advent Calendar, ever since I started my directory for 2021, the most asked question has been whether or not the M&S Advent Calendar will be back for 2021 - well yes it is and here it is!

There was a slight air of despair in 2020 when M&S announced there would be no Advent Calendar and whilst they did release one with Autograph and a beauty box it wasn’t quite the same, though I had hoped the Beauty Box would become a regular offering.
