Urban Decay biggest lipstick Launch EVER! #LipstickismyVice

As soon as I saw that Urban Decay was about to release a 100 (yes ONE HUNDRED) new lipsticks, the word excitement doesn't quite cover it and with Ruby Rose as the face of the launch, it was always going to be amazing.

The Vice Collection combines everything from new shades to cult favorites you thought you’d never see again and several shades were inspired by some of the other lip products and even Eyeshadows and Eye Pencils.

Encased inside iconic Urban Decay packaging, vice lipsticks come in a modernized luxed-up version of the original lipstick case. The faceted gunmetal casing with gold base screams luxury and the debossed lettering adds that little some extra. In true Urban Decay style, each lipstick also features an embossed UD.

Each lipstick will cost just £15 and with 100 to choose from there is something for everything whether you like your bold brights, Vampy or subtle neutral shades you will find something and they are available in 6 different finishes,
  • Mega Matte — super intense matte
  • Comfort Matte — their creamiest matte
  • Cream — the original creamy luxury formula
  • Metallized — cream with a high level of pearl pigments
  • Sheer — a punch of color, with a sheer, shiny finish
  • Sheer Shimmer — slightly transparent finish with floating pearl and a smooth texture
I have five lipsticks from the collection to share with you today and all of them feature in Wende's top 10 picks and I can see why!

714 - was originally released with the Gwen Stefani collection and it is such a stunning shade. With a Mega Matte finish, 714 is bold, it is bright and it is described as being a medium-dark red with warm orange undertones, which sadly does nothing for my complexion, but it is a stunning shade.

Firebird - is a cream finish and is described as being a deep fuchsia. It is definitely a pinkish berry shade and it has cool, blue undertones which works well with my skin tone.  It applies like a dream and there is a fuchsia pearl shade which shows through which I really like along with a very natural sheen.

Big Bang - is a metallized finish and is described as being a bright pink sparkle shade. It is a raspberry pink shade with quite subtle, cool undertones and it has a light pink micro-glitter which reflects amazingly in the light. I don't think I have ever owned a lipstick that looks this glittery, but when the lipstick is applied, it isn't uncomfortable, the glitter doesn't drag or scratch the lips at all, it isn't rough and nor does it look as though you have just covered your lips in glitter, it is just the right amount of noticeable.

BackTalk - is a Comfort Matte finish and is described as being a mauve nude, though it does have a slight pinkish tint to it. It is also a lipstick with cool undertones but with a satin finish and it is one of those shades that everyone can wear. It applies much more smoothly than the other four lipsticks and I adore it.

Pandemonium - is a Mega Matte finish and is a dark, almost red toned purple which has a satin finish.  Again it applies to the lips like an absolute dream and it has a very light shimmer to it and again, this is a shade I wasn't expecting to like at all but I absolutely love it.

Each lipstick shade has amazing colour pay off, literally like nothing else I have seen. Urban Decay use their propriety Pigment Infusion System which gives the formula its super creamy texture. Add to that there is in the infusion of a butte blend to hydrate, soften and enhance which leaves your lips feeling soft and conditioned. Aloe Vera, Jojoba, Avocado and Babassu oils help to nourish and soften your lips and Illipe Buter provides long lasting moisture with added Vitamin C and E give a hit of antioxident.

So not only do you get a fabulous lipstick, but you get one which looks after your lips whilst you are wearing it and I now need the other 95!.  Not sure which of the 100 lipsticks will suit you? Well there is an Urban Decay app which allows you to try on all the lipsticks to see which one works and which one doesn't and it is a whole lot of fun, bit like Tinder for lipstick!

Have you seen a shade you like the look of?

Urban Decay Spring 2015 Collection

Urban Decay is a brand I haven't had too much exposure too, so when this package arrived, I squealed with absolute delight.  The Spring 2015 collection is nothing short of delightful and I have had great fun playing with these items.

Urban Decay Spring 2015 Collection

Naked Skin Ultra Definition Powder Foundation - Package inside this beautiful purple floral string bag, is the new Naked Skin Ultra Definition Powder Foundation can be found in this sleek and beautiful shiny gunmental compact, which shows the Urban Decay logo clearly embossed on the top. With 9g of powder and an accompanying sponge double-sided sponge.

Available in 14 different shades to suit most skin shades, this powder is weightless, gives buildable coverage and leaves a demi-matte finish, I have shade Medium-Light and I find it works well with my skin tone.  The powder when used is really light and promises to give 8 hours of wear time, which it does.  I have combination skin, which leans to the oily side across my t-zone and it still manages to look flawless and doesn't cling to any dry skin making it perfect for using everyday and even though it does stay in place, if I feel the need to touch up any oily skin, the sponge is useful for doing that. RRP £26

Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer - to compliment the new powder foundations comes 8 different shades of the Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealers.  With what is described as being a modern flocked applicator, it uses just the right amount of product to cover redness, blemishes and those pesky dark-circles effortlessly.

There is also a bit of science to this concealer "Naked Skin Concealer with so many ingredients that are good for your skin, it’s practically a concealer and a treatment in one! Matrixyl 3000 contains anti-wrinkle peptides to improve skin’s youthful appearance and elasticity. Japanese green tea revitalises and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines. Litchiderm™ (derived from lychee fruit) protects against dehydration, resulting in a brighter, more radiant complexion. And sodium hyaluronate helps skin attract and retain moisture".

Now, since having this concealer, I am a tad obsessed with it, it is amazing, it blends really well, it looks natural and once applied it sticks, it doesn't disappear half-way through the day, it does the job it is meant to do and all for £17.50 - it is worth every penny!

Sheer Revolution Lipsticks - There are 10 offerings when it comes to the Sheer Revolution Lipsticks and every single one of them is beautiful. Described as being "creamy, badass luxury meets sheer, pigmented colour" the lipsticks are packaged inside this stunning lilac coloured case which I just adore. The formula is also amazing as they are infused with what is referred to as Maxi-Lip plus an added blend of nourishing oils and antioxidants into the formula along with Vitamin C and E, Shea butter and olive oil so your lips are left feeling hydrated and plumped. I wasn't too sure what to expect from Urban Decay because I am new to the lipsticks, but as well as being incredibly moisturising, the formula has a creamy consistancy which simply glides across the lips leaving behind great coverage of colour and shine but none of that horrible sticky tackiness you often get with lipsticks.

I was sent two different shades - Sheer Ladyflower and Sheer Rapture, both very different shades but both utterly stunning.

Sheer Rapture is described as being sheer dusty rose and once on the lips, you can see the transfer of colour which is more of a rosy plum shade, quite out of my comfort zone, but the colour which lasts for a good 4-5 hours before the shine wears off and whilst there is still a hint of colour, you might feel you want to touch up your lipstick.

Sheer Ladyflower is a sheer rose pink shade and when applied it is more of a medium pink, which looks really lovely.  As with Rapture, it lasts 4-5 hours before you need to re-apply.  Both lipsticks retail at £15.50

Moondust Eyeshadow is a product I have come across before, but this range has 4 new added shades which are called Ether, Scorpio and Cosmic. I was kindly sent Scorpio and Ether which are truly beautiful to look at, never mind play with and wear. Like all other Eyeshadows, each of the Moondust shades come packaged in a compact with the cool pop-out feature. You can pop these shadows out of their compacts with no problem and into an Urban Decay customisable Build Your Own Palettes (RRP £8) to create the ultimate travel-friendly collection. Each shade retails at £14.

Ether is described as being a “light purple with pink-blue 3D sparkles and it is quite a fine texture which you can apply with your fingers or a brush easily, though go careful with how much you choose to wear because there is a lot of sparkle!

Scorpio is described as a “matte black with gold 3D sparkle and within this shade, the sparkles aren't quite as noticeable as they are in Ether, but they are present. For me, this isn't a shade that I wear across my entire eyelid, though it is possible and it looks amazing on a lot of looks ive seen, but I prefer to wear it under my lower lash line, which I fine much easier to applier than eyeliner and it is lovely and smokes out really nicely, again with your finger or a brush.

I am very much enamored with this collection, it includes something for everyone including those of us who are yet to be brave enough to try a lot more colour and on the reverse for those people who love their bright and bold shades.

Is there anything within this collection that you want to get your hands on?

Naked2 Urban Decay Basics Palette

I finally have my hands on an Urbay Decay Naked palette and it is none other than the Naked2 Basics palette.  Having seen that Cohorted were going to have it on offer, I decided that if I was going to try something, a basics palette was a good place to start and I got it for an amazing price!  With an RRP of £22, I managed to get this with a 30% discount making it just £15.40, how amazing is that?

The palette comes with six cool-toned shades. Five mattes and one satin to highlight and they are:

Skimp - pale nude satin
Stark - nude-pink matte
Frisk - warm grey matte
Cover - muted warm-red matte
Primal - muted brown matte
Undone - deep, smoky brown matte

When I first looked at this palette, I was chuffed with the different shades as they are all ones I am likely to use.  The one issue I've had so far with the other palettes is that I'm not totally sure I would make that much use of them, even though I prefer the natural eye look, to something more out there and colourful. What I love about all of the shades in Naked2 Basics Palette is that they all have a rich, buttery feel to them, which makes the application really easy and Skimp, as you can see from the swatch above, has a slight satin finish to it. Now all I need to get my hands on is the double-ended applicator brush to accompany my palette.

I'm not sure that this palette is yet in sale in the UK, I haven't been able to find it that it is, but keep an out on for the next Cohorted announcement to get one, because for the price I paid, it is more than worth it and I have no doubt I am going to be continuously using it.

Are you a fan of the Naked Palettes? do you have a favourite one?

BBBBox 2 - What Was In My Box?

I was unlucky not to get my hands on the first BBBox which Jane, the lovely lady behing the British Beauty Blogger Blog put together and when I saw how fantastic it was, I was slighty gutted.  I was therefore delighted that there was going to be a second BBBox and there was no chance I was going to miss out on it.  It cost just £22 with P&P very reasonably priced at £5.95 and for your money there was a box packed full of lovely products to get excited about, all of which Jane herself picked and chose.
