LIBBIE CLUB – JULY 2016 BEAUTY OFFERS
LIBBIE CLUB – JULY 2016 BEAUTY OFFERS

The Cowshed is a brand that always makes me cackle, give a product a quirky name and I am guaranteed to love it. Wild Cow is a really lovely body lotion which uses an amazing mix of energising Lemongrass, invigorating Ginger and reviving Rosemary essential oils and is one of those products which kicks you awake when you are still feeling a bit sleepy in a morning.
  • Lemongrass is known to have antiseptic properties as well as working to tone the skin and open blocked pores.
  • Ginger has energising properties and helps with poor circulation and
  • Rosemary oil, which is one of my favourites, helps to ease congestion, puffiness and swelling on the skin as well as improving blood circulation.
  • There is also the inclusion of the finest quality Shea and Cocoa Butters help moisturise and nourish the skin.
LIBBIE CLUB – JULY 2016 BEAUTY OFFERS
Cowshed products are made in England using natural ingredients. This months Libbie Offer £5 off the Cowshed Wild Cow Invigorating Body Lotion when purchased with Bean Body Scrub using code BODY5 (300ml, £20)

I am obsessed with Coffee Scrubs right now and have a post coming shortly dedicated to some amazing ones. This is my first interaction with Bean Body and it definitely will not be my last.  It is described as being an 'Organic Coffee Scrub with Robusta Coffee Beans, Organic Cold Pressed Coconut Oil, Himalayan pink rock salt, Demerara Sugar, Organic Cacao and Vitamin E oil' and working together those ingredients do the following:

  • Caffeine stimulates blood flow and helps reduce the appearance of cellulite eczema, stretch marks, age spots, varicose veins and psoriasis.
  • Demerara Sugar and Himalayan Salt exfoliate your skin, removing dead skin as well as whiteheads, blackheads.  It also helps with breakouts and other skin blemishes.
  • Coconut oil hydrates, smooths and moisturises your skin.
  • Cocoa and Vitamin E are both high in antioxidants which helps to nourish and protect the skin, promoting cell repair and rejuvenation.
LIBBIE CLUB – JULY 2016 BEAUTY OFFERS
This scrub is tough enough to remove that dead and dry skin to improve imperfections whilst at the same time, leaving your skin feeling softer and smoother than ever and of course smelling just absolutely amazing.  So if you are tired of using the same body scrubs and want to try something a little bit new and amazing, this is definitely one to look at. This months Libbie Offer - £5 off the Bean Body Coffee Bean Scrub when purchased with Cowshed Body Lotion using BODY5 (220g, £14.95)

Finally in the makeup section we have New CID Cosmetics i-smoulder Smokey Eye Pencil and Shadow and I have shade Silver (the other two available are gold and ember). A dual ended Smokey eye pencil with complementing eye shadow. A twist up eyeliner at one end and a matching cream eye shadow with sponge applicator on the other, making it perfect for multi-tasking.

The eyeliner pencil gives really good colour pay off in one simple stroke, whilst silver isn't a colour I would wear, it is a really lovely colour and the eyeshadow is again easy to apply and doesn't crease, so that gets a big thumbs up too.  I love that it contains the properties of coconut oil offering a soft application without feeling harsh on the skin.  This months Libbie offer is a saving of 10% off New CID Cosmetics in smoulder Smokey Eye Pencil & Shadow (£16.65)

This is a seriously amazing box.  All products are full sizes and if you like the sound of any of them, then the great thing about the Libbie Club, is that as a reader, you can benefit from the offers by visiting my page right here.

The Libbie Club May Beauty Box

This month I am back with The Libbie Club and the May Beauty Box has arrived and is full of treats to try. Each month as a Libbie Club Member, the box has three specially chosen products to try and then once I have reviewed them, I can share with you amazing offers for you to purchase the products and try them for yourself.

This month those three products are a nice mix of brands and May is described as exciting and innovative.  So this is what I have:

The Libbie Club May Beauty Box

ChinUp Mask – Trial Pack
I have used ChinUp Mask before which you can see here and it is a product I was impressed with when I first used it. With Cosmetic Surgery still being one of those subjects that everyone has an opinion on and it can be quite controversial, products which use no surgery but promise results are becoming more and more common place. Marketed as being a 30 minute non-surgical facelift, this mask is a solution for double chins, saggy jowls and loose skin around the chin and jawline. Inside the pack you are given 2 masks, a Chinup Strap and a Tape Measure.

James Read Tan H20 Tan Mist
James Read is a name I always associate with tanning and it is a category which is totally out of my comfort zone. I rarely ever use fake tan, the fear of turning into an OOmpa Loompa is something which always puts me off. This product is a lightweight mist which is infused with pure rose water and I am informed that each application will gradually build a deeper tan, allowing you to control your depth of colour. It is stain free and can also be used as a make up primer or for setting your make up.

Girl Meets Brush
This brush company was started by celebrity makeup artist Lynne Mills and she has used her expertise to create the optimal make up brushes. I have to admit that I have never heard of the brand until now and within my box I have the The Blending Contour Brush. This brush has an angled shaped head, the fibres are dense but have soft bristles, it is used to buff & blend products together, great for blending blusher, bronzer & highlighter. The bristles are really soft and because the brush hosts a thick chunky handle, it is easy to grip to use.

So, let me know what you think of these products and whether or not you have ever tried them.

Libbie Club for January

As we start 2016, it is the perfect time to taking time to stop, relax and wind down before the stresses and strains begin all over again. The Libbie Club January Box is designed to be all about relaxation and pampering and with that theme in mind, three products have been chosen.

Libbie Club for January

The first product is Maddi Alexander's Rose Soaking Salts. These salts are infused with pure rose, cardamom and pink pepper, these mineral-rich combination of sea salt and epson salts will purify and restore your skin and can help stimulate cell regeneration.  I am a huge fan of bath salts and these ones are just divine.  They smell absolutely wonderful, are deeply relaxing and they leave your skin feeling soft, smooth and moisturised.

As always with the Libbie Club, I have an offer for my readers. For these bath salts you can save 50% and get the Maddi Alexander Bath Duo (Salts and Oil) for just £14!

Libbie Club for January

The second item in my box is DHC Deep Cleansing Oil which I have been wanting to try for ages. This product is a water-soluble oil cleanser which contains a rich blend of rosemary leaf oil and hydrating olive oil, they work together to remove make-up, dirt and excess oil without making skin feel greasy. As someone with combination skin, which tends to be oily, I wondered how this would work with my skin and I shouldn't have worried because it works absolutely amazingly well. There is also an additional infusion of antioxidant vitamin E tackles the build up of free radicals that occurs throughout the day, something that when living in London, is vital.

Again, The Libbie Club have a fantastic deal on this product if you are wanting to try it and it is buy one 70ml DHC Cleansing Oil for £11 and get a travel size DHC Cleansing Oil completely free here.

The final item in the box is this stunning Eye of Horus Goddess pencil in shade Sahara Nude. This pencil is a beautiful pale nude shade which will add a sumptuous highlight to the eyes. Highly pigmented the Goddess Pencil can be used for blending and shading onto the entire eyelid or applied delicately along the waterline. Literally gliding smoothly onto the eyelid without pulling or dragging, it is also waterproof.  When used it helps to make the eyes look brighter and you more alert.

The Libbie Box - November Edition

The Libbie Club Box for November has landed on my lap and once again there is an amazing array of products which should suit everyone. The Libbie Club – part of Latest in Beauty (LIB) is described as being a community of influential beauty fans who are rewarded for reviewing, sharing and referring beauty products.
In this months box there is again three products - La Montana Candle, A Crabtree and Evelyn Christmas Cracke and Evelyn and Hairy Jayne Floral Hair Perfume.

La Montaña candles have featured on Beautyqueenuk before (here) and I was really impressed by the quality of the scents. The candles are inspired by Cass and Jonathan Hall’s new life in a mountain village in Valencia. Each fragrance evokes a real experience, and is recreated using only the finest perfume oils. This scent is
Winter Oranges which is described as being a warm, spicy blend of Valencia orange, cinnamon, red apple, and clove. This is a scent you can smell long before you open any outer packaging and it smells exactly as it is described and is just lovely and very Christmassy.

The Libbie Box - November Edition

hristmas cracker shaper box. The scent is Apple Snow which is just stunning, the fragrance of the hand cream encompasses that Christmas fruit smell with frosted lemon, bergamot and orange sprinkles over fluffy blossoms and dewy apple leaves. It is also ultra-hydrating with extracts of shea butter goodness and will leave hands moisturised and noticeably smoother.

The offer I have for you on this cracker is not just one, but three for £10 which is an absolute bargain and some nice little stocking fillers and you have to be quick to get them here.

The final item in the box is the Hairy Jayne Floral Hair perfume and it is the only product within the box that I have never come across and it is one which I was really looking forward to trying. Hair Perfume with Heat Protection is said to freshen up your hair up between shampoos as well as adding shine, calming frizz and fly-aways as well as protecting your hair from damaging heated styling – all in one spritz.  The bright floral fragrance is made from essential oils (aroma compounds extracted directly from plants) of Geranium, Bergamot and Vanilla, a scent which is said to evoke a nostalgic feeling of sitting in a sunny English garden.

The Libbie Club September Box

The September Libbie Club Box has arrived through my door and once again it is a fantastic mix of products. I absolutely love the July and August Boxes which had some amazing products in them (whose offers you can still take advantage of right here). This months box contains one full and two trial size beauty products with a total value of over £50 (all for free!)

The Libbie Club September Box

The first item is the Caudalie Instant Detox Mask (£22.00 for 75ml) - Now I am a huge admirer of the brand and have loved the products I have tried to date. This instant Detox Mask is said to purify stressed skin and is a 99.3% natural clay formula which sweeps away impurities and toxins leaving your skin looking and feeling refined, your pores are tightened and your complexion is even. It is advised that you apply a thin layer to the face twice a week, leave for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse with water.  This month The Libbie Club are offering 20% OFF Caudalie Instant Detox Mask (75ml) which makes it just £17.60.

The Libbie Club September Box

Next we have Teez Desert Metals Mascara in Midnight Sky (£17.00).  I have to admit that I am not that up to speed with this brand, though I have heard of it. The Mascara is a Volume Mascara which includes silk proteins to help protect and nourish your lashes all day and all night long. It is also a water-based formula and can easily be rinsed off. It claims to give fuller, flirtier lashes and not only is it long lasting, but also smudge-proof. I am a huge fan of mascara and I am looking forward to putting this one to the test.  The Libbie Club offer for this item is 25% OFF Teeez Desert Metals Mascara Midnight Skinny Dip which makes it just £12.75 and definitely worth trying.

The final item in the September box is from Mio Skincare and it is The Activist Firming Active Oil (£29.50 for 120ml). This product is described as being the best multi-purpose antioxidant body oil you will ever use which is quite a claim! It states to give daily nourishing for dry stressed skin and work wonders on scars, stretch marks and uneven skin tone. The Activist is free from parabens, petrolatum, synthetic fragrance and colourants, xenoestrogens, PEGs, glycols and pthalates. Libbie Club - July Edition

Last Month, I introduced to you, The Libbie Club which you can see HERE. Latest in Beauty (LIB) recently launched The Libbie Club which is described as being a community of influential beauty fans who are rewarded for reviewing, sharing and referring beauty products.
Libbie Club - July Edition
Libbie Club - July Edition
Each month members of The Libbie Club are sent a free of charge box of full sized beauty products to try out, you then write your honest reviews about each product on their site and if anyone makes a purchase via any of your recommendations, you will then be sent another box the next month to review again. However, with each product comes an offer, more of which you can read about below with what was in my box, and some of those offers are just amazing.

This months box is equally fantastic and it includes two facial cleansers, both I adore but for very different reasons and a lip tint which I am still on the fence with.Skin & Tonic Steam Clean Cleansing Balm - As a brand, I know very little about Skin & Tonic, though the name makes me chuckle. Steam Clean comes with its very own cloth and is described as being a versatile balm which has three uses:
  • 1) Massage a small quantity into your palms and onto your face/neck. Soak the 100% organic cotton face cloth in warm water and hold against your face for 1 minute to steam and activate the essential oils. Breathe in deep and cleanse away.
  • 2) This cleansing method also works well at removing make-up.
  • 3) Apply a small amount to dry lips and dry skin patches for a nourishing, soothing boost.
Filled with amazing organic ingredients such as British Thistle, Eucalyptus and Spearmint oils, so no wonder it smells so great and is an absolute joy to use. This balm is said to not only lift the dirt away but help rejuvenate dull, tired skin.
Libbie Club - July Edition
Libbie Club - July Edition
So what’s the great offer on this little delight? Well Skin & Tonic are offering readers a massive discount of 30% off when you buy the Steam Clean Cleansing Balm and the Gentle Scrub Face Scrub, the pair together would normally cost £50, but they are now just £28 while stocks last.

Becca Beach Tint – Watermelon. Now I don't have much knowledge of the brand, so it is always great to find and try something new, but this for me is one of those products that is alright but it doesn't wow me. Described as being "This streak-free, non-greasy lip and cheek stain can be used on its own or with powder blushes, bronzers, lip balms and lip glosses for added intensity" when I use it, I have preferred to use it as a lip product rather than as a blusher as I find the consistency is much better to work with, especially with being so pale skinned.
Libbie Club - July Edition
Libbie Club - July Edition
Libbie Club - July Edition
The shade is quite nice and is similar to something I would choose and it smells exactly like a watermelon.  For me, the one thing that lets it down is its lastability, as a tint I would expect it to last more than 3-4 hours, but on me it doesn't and I need to re-apply.

So what offer do Libbie Club have for all of you on this product? If it take your fancy and you want to try it, when you buy the Becca Beach Tint in Watermelon for £18 you get a free lip gloss in Palm Breeze worth £18.

The final product in this months Libbie Club box is the product that I was most excited to try and one that I absolutely love. The Bioeffect Volcanic Exfoliator. Again, this is another brand that I have heard of but never used and how cool does it sound 'Volcanic Exfoliator'. Described as being "a clarifying facial exfoliator containing Icelandic micro-crystalline lava, which deep-cleanses and smoothes the skin, leaving it soft and refreshed" and as soon as I read that, I was sold and new I would love it.
Libbie Club - July Edition
Libbie Club - July Edition
Designed to deep-cleanse the skin, remove dry and dead skin cells and leave it feeling soft and refreshed, it does all of this using Icelandic Micro-Crystalline Lava. The texture of the product is gel like within which you can see orangey flecks which are the lava, totally cool. On the skin you as you massage it in, the see through gel quickly turns a milky white colour and against the skin, whilst you can feel the flecks of lava, they are quite gentle, you know they are there, but they don't scratch the skin. After using, pat the skin dry and your face should feel soft smooth and really refreshed.

If you fancy trying the Bioeffects Volcanic Exfoliator it costs £28 and right now The Libbie Club are offering a EGF serum worth £22 for free when you buy it - total bargain! For me, this box is an absolute treat and a dream. Both of the skin products have each wowed me and are ones I would definitely purchase for myself again. All of the offers will stay available until they are sold out, so if you want them, get them quick.

What do you think of these three products, are you tempted?

Welcome to The Libbie Club

Today I want to tell you all about a brand new beauty box called The Libbie Club. Latest in Beauty (LIB) have recently launched The Libbie Club – described as being a community of influential beauty fans who are rewarded for reviewing, sharing and referring beauty products.

So, every month members of The Libbie Club are sent a free of charge box of full sized beauty products to try out, you then write your honest reviews about each product on their site and if anyone makes a purchase via any of your recommendations, you will then be sent another box the next month to review again. However, with each product comes an offer, more of which you can read about below with what was in my box.
The Libbie Club
The Libbie Club
I was kindly sent the June box which had some amazing products:

Vintage Cosmetic Company Essential Face Brush Set (£33)
I am a big fan of Vintage Cosmetic Company, I love the whole vintage theme to the packaging and love how the products are packaged.  This set of three face brushes consists of a Powder Brush, Blusher Brush and a Foundation Brush.

Each brush was really soft natural bristles and is lightweight when holding.  My favourite brush of the three is the powder brush which I use for both fluid and powder foundation as well as for my setting powder because I love the finish it gives.
The Libbie Club
The Libbie Club

The Libbie Club
Philip Kingsley Elasticizer 75ml (£16)
This product was said to have been originally created by Philip Kingsley specifically for Audrey Hepburn, who wanted a super-moisturising treatment that would repair her hair and keep it in great condition throughout the frequent colouring and styling done to her hair on movie sets. So if that isn't a reason to give it a try, then I don't know what is.
The Libbie Club
As a pre-shampoo intensive moisturising treatment I love how soft and smooth this makes me hair feel and it is  product I use on occasions when I feel my hair needs a little treat and some TLC.

Vita Liberata pHenomenal 2-3 Week Tan: Medium 125ml (£41)
I am on the fence with this product.  Whilst the tan in my box was medium making it too dark for my own super pale skin, I have tried the fair tan in the past and liked it, but didn't love it.  It does claim to be easy to apply, which it is and naturally you do need to use a tanning mitt.  The whole process in fact was incredibly stress free and easy, I just wasn't a fan of the after colour.
The Libbie Club
The Libbie Club
So, I gave this product to a friend of mine who has incredibly lovely olive toned skin and it suits her perfectly and she loves it.
