Lush Sleepy Shower Gel

The Lush Sleepy range is one I have heard so many good things about and I finally managed to get my order in and grab the shower gel alongside a few other products, so I was hoping it would live up to the hype it has created and the expectations I had in my mind.
Lush Sleepy Shower Gel
Lush state that you should start your bedtime routine right with this lavender shower gel and drift of to dreamland with the help of soothing oat milk alongside sweet-smelling tonka and you'll have skin softer than you could ever dream of.
Sleep, drift to sleep,
Sweet tonka counts the sheep,
Lavender shakes the dreamland tree,
And from it fall sweet dreams for thee.
As with all Lush Shower Gels, this one has a lovely formula which isn't too thick or too runny and you need just a few squeezes of the bottle to release more than enough to create a lather, release the scent of those ingredients. and enjoy your relaxing shower.

As with all Lush products, this one also has an impressive list of ingredients which includes:
  • Oak Milk - made from rolled oats and something which has been used for centuries, oak milk not only helps to relieve itching, but it is also soothing for the skin.
  • Lavender Oil - if sleeping is an issue for you, then Lavender is a great ally when you need to switch off l, relax and wind down before bed. The flowers from Lavender are filled with a product called linalool, and it is known for its sedative effects on the nervous system, so it is perfect for helping to wind down.
  • Benzoin Resinoid - Cleansing with products that contain this ingredient is described as being an excellent way to benefit from its natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities whilst feeling relaxed and soothed.
  • Tonka Absolute - Wonderfully sweet smelling, it is not only extremely soothing for the skin, but thag aroma is incredibly comforting and brings about a sense of calm.
What I love about this Shower Gel, is that for me it is relaxing, it does aid that process of winding down before bedtime and I can imagine, if paired with the Lush Sleeping Lotion, which I am yet to try, I imagine they would make quite the duo.

This Sleepy Shower Gel from Lush is still on sale online and in store and is priced at £7 for 110g bottle rising upwards depending on the size you purchase.

The Comforter Shower Gel - Lush

A few weeks ago I went to the grand opening of the new Lush Flagship Store here on Londons Oxford Street which you can read about HERE.  One thing I learnt at that opening is that there are over 200 new products, yes TWO HUNDRED which is absolutely phenomenal and I have already tried and tested some of them!

The first item I could not wait to open is The Comforter Shower Gel!  I am a big fan of the Bubble Bar and would go as far as to say it is my favourite one from the Bubble Bar selection.  So to find the shower gel was a little more than exciting and here it is:

Described as being 'Like a Cuddle in a bottle' this shower gel is just amazing. For those of you who are familiar with the Bubble Bar, it is that scent in this bottle. It uses the exact same ingredients which are:
  • Begamot Oil - As a scent it is fresh, sweet, fruity scent has an uplifting, cheerful effect, easing tension, and encouraging sleep. It also has antibacterial properties to, help clear the skin.
  • Cassis Absolute - This gives a deep blackcurranty aroma which provides the main scent.
  • Cypress Oil - works an antiseptic as well a deodorant and it also helps tone the skin. The fragrance also helps to calm during times of stress.
The texture of this shower gel is quite thick and if you are an avid user of Lush shower gels, it is similar to Snow Fairy, so you only ever need a small amount to create a lot of lather.  The scent is one which lingers, I can still smell it on my skin after being at work for a whole day, though it has obviously faded.

So, if you are a big fan of Lush, this is one new product I would really recommend buying.  It isn't yet on the man Lush site but it is on sale inside the Oxford Street Store.  This bottle costs around £9.50 for this 250g bottle.
