Jane Iredale Beyond Matte Lip Stain

Having already shared the Jane Iredale Dream Tint just a few weeks ago, today I am sharing another product that I am finding myself wearing daily and that is the Jane Iredale Beyond Matte Lip Stain, in the shade Muse.
Jane Iredale Beyond Matte Lip Stain
Described as being a rich, long-wearing matte liquid lipstick, it is formulated with  antioxidant rich plant-based oils that condition, soften and protect for a chic, beyond matte look and powerful payoff.  From the extensive list of shades available, I chose the shade Muse which is a cool nude pink shade and it is a shade that will work with every skin tone.
Jane Iredale Beyond Matte Lip Stain
Jane Iredale Beyond Matte Lip Stain
Featuring a specially designed ergonomic doe-foot applicator brush that is designed to help ensure precise application with each swipe.  What I really like about the brush is that it holds just enough product without being too saturated, as it dries down, despite being a Matte Lip Stain, it is incredibly comfortable to wear and doesn't dry as though you have applied PVA glue to your lips and if you smile it will crack, in fact it is quite the opposite and I really like how it sits.

Priced at £34 here, this is a great lip stain which gives great colour payoff, its lastability is incredibly impressive in that I can apply in the morning and then only need to re-apply late afternoon and there is no visible transfer.

Revolution Pro Rock Star Hydrating Shine Lipstick

It has been a while since Revolution Pro has caught my attention but these Revolution Pro Rock Star Hydrating Shine Lipstick (£8 here) did just that and I quickly ordered two of the six shades on offer.
Revolution Pro Rock Star Hydrating Shine Lipstick
Available in six classic shades, each lipstick is housed in an elegant soft-close magnetic case with gold details and they do have an air of Tom Ford about the design and all for a difference in price between £30-£36!
Want high-shine glamour and incredible colour in one swipe? Look no further than the Revolution Pro Rockstar Hydrating Shine Lipsticks!
The Revolution Pro Rockstar Hydrating Shine Lipsticks are formulated with seven key actives and their role is to nourish the lips while at the same time providing high shine and intense pigment in one swipe.

Key Ingredients

  • Hyaluronic Acid – helps to keep lips hydrated
  • Peptides – helps to keep lips looking plump
  • Squalane – helps to keep lips soft and smooth
  • Aloe Vera – helps to keep lips moisturised
  • Shea Butter – helps to retain moisture and avoid dry lips
  • Jojoba Oil – help to sooth and condition lips
  • Cherry Blossom Oil – this helps to maintain lips natural pigmentation and colour
The six shades - Cashmere, Fever, Stripped, Passion, Joy and Velvet. In lieu of being able to see these lipsticks up close, as it was during lockdown when I ordered them, I took a chance and selected both Joy and Velvet.
Revolution Pro Rock Star Hydrating Shine Lipstick
Revolution Pro Rock Star Hydrating Shine Lipstick

Revolution Pro Rock Star Hydrating Shine Lipstick
As you can see from the swatches above, which as always will remain unedited, you see them how I see them from a simple swatch, these lipsticks are impressively pigmented and it glides onto the lips so smoothly as the formula is incredibly creamy.

The two shades I chose are both incredible wearable and having made a choice just from what I saw online, i’m pretty impressed with my choice, the shades:
  • Velvet – Pink With Neutral Undertone (Rosewood Pink)
  • Joy – Nude with Warm Undertone (Warm Brown)
Of these two shades, Velvet is the one I’ve found the most wearable for every day use, but Joy is just as lovely.

For £8 these lipsticks are worth every single penny, from a quick glance you would never guess they are highstreet branded lipsticks, for me they are on part with some of the higher end branded lipsticks I own and wear with the formula, how easily they apply and even the longevity. Once applied Velvet lasts 4-5 hours before needing to be re-applied and Joy slightly less but still a really good wear time.

Bite Beauty Power Move Soft Matte Lipstick

If you hadn't heard, the cult US beauty brand which is infamous for its lipstick has finally launched here in the UK and I have been lucky enough to try some of the lipsticks that everyone is raving about!
Bite Beauty Power Move Soft Matte Lipstick
Bite Beauty, is as you might now expect, a cruelty-free and vegan brand, which has been around since it originally launched in 2012, which at the time was just with lipstick. Their entire range, which now includes everything from Mascara and foundation, to whipped blushes and primers and some intriguing sounding lip care can be found at both Boots and Feelunique.

The Power Move Soft Matte Lipsticks, which I have been trying are described as being:
  • Vivid colour.
  • Instant impact.
  • Sensorial textures.
  • Wear that won’t let up.
Followed with the statement "BITE never stops innovating to create clean beauty that holds up to the demands of whatever your day throws at you". Hmm now that word clean really does tend to rub people up the wrong way, sometimes for the right reasons if its meaning isn't explained. From Bite Beauty, that word 'Clean' is said to mean "vegan, gluten-free and fuelled by superfoods. When it comes to ingredients, BITE only uses the best of the best in their high-performance formulas" which okay, I get.

The Power Move Soft Matte Lipsticks are priced at £25 each and there is a total of 20 different shades to choose from, if you like your nudes then they have those, want something in between then that box is also ticked and of course if you want those big bold shades and the brightest of reds, then yes they also have those.   The three shades I have are Sugar Buns, Chai and Hot Tomato.

Sugar Buns - This is a shade which you would describe as being a muted, medium-dark rose pink with slight warm undertones and of course a matte finish.
Bite Beauty Power Move Soft Matte Lipstick
It applies to the lips like an absolute dream without tugging and it has that creamy lightweight texture that is talked about a lot, but my advice would be to definitely ensure your lips have been exfoliated before using this shade as it does slightly stick. It has a wear time of around four hours before the need to be re-applied.

Chai - This shade is what I would describe as being a muted, medium-dark red but it has warm undertones and yes, also a matte finish.
Bite Beauty Power Move Soft Matte Lipstick
To ensure you get that colour pay-off, this is a lipstick that would need to be applied over a few swipes across the lips, which thankfully is incredible comfortable to do without that tugging feeling on the skin. It too had that lightweight feel when it has been applied and the colour lasts for 2-3 hours before it would need to be applied.

Hot Tomato - This is a very vivid medium-dark red with cool blue undertones and a matte finish.
Bite Beauty Power Move Soft Matte Lipstick
It isn't a shade I feel I can pull off, but a friend of mine who can described it as being semi-opaque and to get that colour build up, 2-3 applications are needed. Comfortable to wear and not at all drying on the lips, it lasts most of the day but would need to be re-applied if you had somewhere to be after an average working day.
Bite Beauty Power Move Soft Matte Lipstick
The Bite Beauty Power Move Soft Matte Lipstick Collection, as you can see come encased in a  rubberised plastic charcoal coloured case and I absolutely love the curved tip to the lid of the lipstick. The lipstick bullets themselves look like velvet and as described, they are creamy, non-drying lipsticks which are made with tapioca pearls and mixed with fatty acid waxes, which alongside Cocoa Butter which helps to moisturise and condition the lips to give it that creamy, comfortable wear.
Bite Beauty Power Move Soft Matte Lipstick
Bite Beauty Power Move Soft Matte Lipstick
Having been lucky enough to try three of the shades from a collection of 20, I would absolutely try more without a second thought and already have my eye on both Praline and Maple shades!  You can find the entire lipstick collection and more from Bite Beauty at Boots and Feelunique.

Beauty Pie Shine Up Lip Colour Balm

I have been a member of Beauty Pie for quite some time now, I wrote a post about what and who it is, the benefits of joining and why I joined, plus there is also an offer available to anyone who wants to try Beauty Pie for a few months, giving you your first month free.  As part of my membership, I did quite a big haul a few months ago of a few products I had my eye on, the Beauty Pie Shine Up Lip Colour Balm being one of them.
Beauty Pie Shine Up Lip Colour Balm
I am a big of lip products right now, the joy of not having to wear a mask as often as I did, means I can start wearing lipsticks and lip colours again without the fear of removing my mask and having them smudged around my face.
In a race for the ultimate ‘always in your pocket’ lip product.
These are top of the grid for gorgeous luscious lips in a minute. One-stop do-it-all dream lip balm sticks, with moisturizing, high-cushion, sheer, brilliant colour that simultaneously softens and soothes.
That was essentially what sold this product to me, the one-stop-do-it-all lip balm stick which is as moisturising as it is pigmented, the only problem I had was choosing between the five available shades because they are all absolutely stunning and they are:
  • Berry Jane - a deep berry
  • Love.Love.Love - a light nude
  • Baby Bare - a sexy nude
  • Super Juicy - a bright coral
  • Sexy Berry - a Rose Pink
I opted for Sexy Berry which is described as being a Rose Pink shade and definitely the shade of lipstick I would usually choose to wear on a daily basis because it works with absolutely everything.
Beauty Pie Shine Up Lip Colour Balm
Beauty Pie Shine Up Lip Colour Balm
Beauty Pie Shine Up Lip Colour Balm
Described as being a 3-in-1 balm, this colour and conditioning shine lipstick and on the lips, as you can see from the swatch, which is unedited, it gives a really good wash of colour and it definitely has that balm feel to it as it is applied. It is formulated without the use of talc but does have three main ingredients which consist of a Plant-Oil Jelly Formula which is incredibly soft and soothing, Phytosqualane whose job it is to help to support the lip barrier and then finally Myrrh-Resin Extract which helps to visibly plump the lips.

I have become such a huge fan of this Shine Up Lip Colour Balm and wear it most days because I love the colour pay-off and that it feels much more like a lip balm than it does a lipstick.  The best part is that as a member of Beauty Pie, it cost me just £5.10 instead of the typical price of £20, which is what you would pay for this product if you wanted to purchase it without signing up to Beauty Pie as a member.

If you are thinking about becoming a Beauty Pie member, then I have a referral code that gives you your first month free, starting from when you place your first order and it gives me, should you use the code, a top up on my spending limit.

YSL x Zoë Kravitz London Sky Lipstick

This is a real pinch me moment for sharing my thoughts, for as long as I can remember, YSL lipsticks have been special memories for me, with shades that family members wore, to the very first big girl purchase of my first YSL lipstick.  Today, I am sharing the YSL x Zoe Kravitz collection.
YSL x Zoë Kravitz London Sky Lipstick
YSL x Zoë Kravitz London Sky Lipstick
The YSL x Zoe Kravitz limited edition Lipstick collection features shades inspired by the cities across the world that Zoe Kravitz, YSL Beauty Makeup and Fragrance Ambassador, holds close to her heart - when places meet colours, lipstick tells her story.
I wanted to bring everyone on a journey that would show the key places in my life.
It is said that from her childhood memories of living in LA to movies being filmed in London, or time spent in the beautiful cities of New York and Paris, Zoe has chosen the cities and those landscapes.

This collection features 8 different shades and the luxurious, eye-catching silver case is said to have been inspired by steel city skyscrapers with a glittering iconic YSL cassandre to mirror sparkling city lights and it is every bit of luxurious to hold in your hands, as the description shares.
YSL x Zoë Kravitz London Sky Lipstick
YSL x Zoë Kravitz London Sky Lipstick
I have the shade London Sky which is a warm toned, almost medium dark plum shade and as someone who cannot wear a red lip, this is my shade, this is one I can wear that doesn't make me looked washed out and it is one I have not been afraid to wear.

On the lips, aside from have a very rich colour coverage, its formula is smooth and with its creamy consistency it glides onto the lips where it stayed for a good 5 hours before fading with a need to be re-applied.  Impressively, it doesn't transfer as much as I had expected too.
YSL x Zoë Kravitz London Sky Lipstick
The swatch above is completely unedited and taken in natural daylight so you can see just how beautiful it is.  As you can see, the description of it being a deep nude with a red undertone is absolutely spot on.

As well as London Sky you will find 7 other shades:

London: Deep nudes with a red undertone for a statement look and an urban feel
  • Shoreditch Walk - a rich creamy chestnut red
  • London Sky - A dusky mahogany Red
Paris: Orange reds, steeped in intrigue and excitement
  • Lost in Marais - a burnt orange red
  • Paris Stroll - a soft carmine red
NYC: Pure reds that take your look to the next level
  • Brooklyn Baby - a classic chic red
  • NYC Jungle - a red-carpet ready cool red
LA: Burgundy red - modern, fun and fresh in true Hollywood style.
  • Midnight LA - a bright burgundy red
  • Topanga Sunset - a deep magenta red
Every shade within this collection has been chosen by Zoe to work for every skin tone and if there is a shade which works for me, then there should be a shade which will work for you. All of these shades are available right now via YSL Beauty* and Selfridges* and they are priced at just £30 each.

Pixi Beauty Mattelast Liquid Lipsticks + Swatches

I adore the Pixi Matte Last Liquid Lips and when this package arrived, alongside a little squeal of excitement, I noticed some little pots in the top half of the box and couldn't wait to get stuck in. The original collection launched some time ago with six neutral toned shades (reviewed here) and if nude shades are for you, then there is definitely a shade for you amongst them. Fast forward to now and Pixi have added to their range by introducing five new shades to the collection to bring in the pinks, oranges and berry shades.
Pixi Beauty Mattelast Liquid Lipsticks + Swatches
Pixi Beauty Mattelast Liquid Lipsticks
Described by Pixi as being extremely long-wearing and comfortable, these MatteLast liquid lips have a non-transferable formula which is also non-drying thanks to the infusion of Rosehip Oil and Vitamin E which instantly works to hydrate the lips.

I love the unique Pixi Petal applicator which has been designed to help with precise application and an even distribution of colour onto the lips. The tip, on the end of the applicator, is also pretty clever in that it allows you to outline the lips precisely. These MatteLast Liquid Lips also:

  • Set quickly to a matte veil
  • Have colours which are universally flattering and wearable
  • Has colour which applies smoothly and uniformly in a single stroke
  • Are not tested on animals
  • Are Paraben free

The shade range offers something for everyone, I adore Really Rose and it is one that I have actually re-purchased too, but alongside Really Rose there is also the choice of quite a few more shades and they include:
  • Au Naturelle is a warm peachy pink nude,
  • Bare Beauty is what I consider a true nude.
  • Matte Beige is the shade which will probably flatter most and is again a warm toned nude,
  • Pastel Petal is a pink/brown nude,
  • Really Rose is a beautiful rose toned nude,
  • Evening Rose is the boldest of the nude shades but so very pretty.
  • Peony Pink is a cool toned purpley pink shade
  • Prettiest Pink is very much a Barbie pink shade.
  • Orange Red is a bold red toned orange
  • Real Red is a true natural toned red
  • Berry Boost is perfect for this season and it is a deep berry red.

I like that there is a real mixture of shades, if you're comfortable with your nudes, then there is one for you right here but, if you are wanting to move outside your comfort zone, then Pixi have also factored that in and have given quite the choice.
Pixi Beauty Mattelast Liquid Lipsticks + Swatches

Pixi Beauty Mattelast Liquid Lipsticks + Swatches
In addition to the eleven shades within the Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lip Collection, I mentioned the pots in the top half of the box at the beginning of this post and have included four pots of lip colours with the fifth being an empty pot and we are being asked to create our very own lip colour by mixing the red, yellow, brown and white shades.
Pixi Beauty Mattelast Liquid Lipsticks Create Your Own
From this, Pixi will then choose one winner from all of the shades created and sent back to them and turn it into the twelfth shade within this range, plus, the winner will also be taken to LA for a makeover! Such an amazing opportunity and I have already mixed my shades together to create my perfect lip colour which I need to send off to Pixi! which is an amazing opportunity. I have already mixed my colour up and I’m excited to send it off but let’s get back to the Pixi

The Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lips are £16.00 each and can be purchased here via Pixi.

Beauty BLVD Mattitude Lip Liquid

When it comes to liquid lipsticks, there is so much more to choose from now than there ever has been before.  BeautyBlvd. whom you might have comes across because of their Glitter Lips range, have their own selection of Liquid Lipsticks called Mattitude.
Beauty BLVD Mattitude Lip Liquid
Described as being for the boldest of lips, Mattitude lip liquid is available in 12 shades which include - Apathy Club, Damn Fine, Hole In The Head, Parasol, Poison Junkie, Rapid Fire, Real Ronnie, Remedy, Secret Passage, Summer Session, Tansy and Vicious. Within this shade range is everything from the brightest of pinks and blues to more muted and nude shades.

I have shades Remedy and Secret Passage which gives me the chance to try a nude shade (Remedy) and a much more pigmented shade in Secret Passage.  BeautyBvld state that these Mattitude lipsticks deliver long-lasting, powerful colour, that glides on for a super smooth finish.  Arriving in a Lip shaped box, what I love is that the shade of the lips gives you an idea as to what shade your Mattitude will be, though it isn't an exact match.
Beauty BLVD Mattitude Lip Liquid
Beauty BLVD Mattitude Lip Liquid Applicator
Beauty BLVD Mattitude Lip Liquid Swatches

The lipsticks come in the standard tube with a doe foot wand which makes it easier to line the lips and apply. Being a liquid lipstick though, it does cling to dry skin so you will need to make sure you have exfoliated your lips prior to application. I always ensure I apply lip balm to my lips before applying too, just to give it that base.

Once on the lips, both shades are smooth, they don't feel too dry or as though they will crack if I speak and they do dry really quickly. What I love is that they are not sticky or tacky to the touch and they have great longevity for lasting the whole day, naturally if you go out of an evening you will need to re-apply and touch up the colour.

The New Mattitude Lip Liquids are £9.50 available at BeautyBlvd.com

Lipstick Queen Transformative Trio

When I saw this Lipstick Queen Transformative Trio on offer from SpaceNK for just £11 I knew I had to snap it up. Lipstick Queen is a cult Australian brand which was born out of one woman's quest, Poppy King, to find the perfect lipstick. Now some 20 years later the range has grown quite extensively and contains so many beautiful lipsticks in every possible shade, look and finish you can imagine.  Poppy is said to have created the brand Lipstick Queen to fill the void in the market for unusual yet glamorous fun and stylish lip products. She believes that lipstick makes you feel able to take on anything and that is reflected in her fun yet glamorous range of products.

Lipstick Queen Transformative Trio
Lipstick Queen Transformative Trio
Lipstick Queen's 'Mini Transformative Trio' features three of the brand's best-selling hues which are Mornin' Sunshine, Frog Prince and Hello Sailor and they are the kind of shade that you can wear no matter the season. They are enriched with Shea and Mango Seed Butters which makes then incredibly hydrating and moisturising, but for me, the reason I bought them is because of the colour-adapting formula that adjusts to individual body temperature and this means that no two shades look alike.
Lipstick Queen Transformative Trio

The first shade out of the box is Mornin' Sunshine and it is described as being a happy and sunny lipstick which works with your pH to create a unique shade of a peachy coral but some people have reported that they had a slightly lighter shade. It is packed with Anti-oxidant Vitamin E and Sunflower Oil and is incredibly hydrating when applied.

Next, we have Frog Prince which is an emerald green coloured lipstick that transforms into a magical rosebud pink as soon as it touches your lips. By reacting and adapting to the natural pH of your lips, Frog Prince becomes your own custom shade of rosebud pink and it is said to work perfectly in harmony with your complexion. This lipstick uses Mango Seed Oil, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Vitamin E and Shea Butter to keeps your lips hydrated.

Finally, we have Hello Sailor, the Lipstick I knew the least about and looks are most definitely deceiving with this one. It is a navy lipstick, in the bullet but when applied a really lovely sheer plum shade. It is described as 'the no lipstick lipstick' as it works as a nude lipstick and draws out pink tones to enhance natural lip colour; suiting all skin tones. Using Mango Seed and Sunflower oils as well as Shea Butter this is the most hydrating lipstick of the trio and I think my favourite too.
Lipstick Queen Transformative Trio
For £11 I think this was one of my best bargains to date. Three lipsticks I have been wanting to try but instead of paying out £20 for a full-size version, I've got three mini instead. Of course every swatch on each person will be totally different, some shades don't show up at all and others go much darker than the ones I am showing, the same can be said as to whether something is swatched on your arm, wrist or whether you are wearing it on your lips.  For me, I decided to show an unedited swatch on my wrist.

As well as lipsticks, within the Lipstick Queen collection, you can also find blushes which again take on quite a unique formula, Lip Liners, Liquid Lipsticks and Glosses. You can find Lipstick at John Lewis and LookFantastic as well as SpaceNK.

Phase Zero Makeup X Love Me Beauty | The Lipstick Collection

Whether or not you are a subscriber, you might have noticed that there have been some intriguing changes made to Love Me Beauty and its whole concept. I love beauty boxes and Love Me Beauty has decided to change their role within the Beauty Box world and have instead decided to shake things up with Phase Zero Makeup.
Phase Zero Makeup X Love Me Beauty | The Lipstick Collection
Simply explained by Oliver Gauci
Phase Zero X LMB is a project where we’ve created a cruelty-free, luxury formula based brand at factory prices. As we are the manufacturers, we are going to sell straight to the consumer, without all the middlemen and huge markups! A lipgloss that retails at £12 for example, you’ll get for £3.50 with us
Phase Zero is exclusively available to Love Me Beauty and it works in a similar way to the Beauty Box Subscription. So, for a £5 monthly membership fee, you as the subscriber gain access to the Phase Zero Makeup collection at those much-discounted prices. The brand promises that they will deliver high quality, cruelty-free makeup products that contain luxury formulas but instead of costing exorbitant amounts, you will instead get them at factory prices, for example, retail for £12 but members pay only £3.50. If you don't want to be tied into a contract, then you don't have to be, you can still buy the products for their RRP.  The month of February sees the Phase Zero Makeup X LMB project launch with a collection of lip glosses, matte lips and lip toppers which I am sharing with you today.
Phase Zero Makeup X Love Me Beauty | The Lipstick Collection
The collection I have features three lipglosses, four matte lipsticks and two lip toppers and all of the lip products are packaged in plastic tubes, which all look the same and are best identified from the little stick on the bottom of the tube. The plastic tubes contain 8ml of product, come with a standard doe foot applicator and there is a slight Vanilla scent to them.

The three lipglosses I have are the shades

  • Dark Burgundy which is a beautiful rich aubergine shade
  • Baby Pink which is a really pretty nude pink
  • Postbox Red which as the shade name gives away is a stunning bright red.
I am really picky when it comes to lipglosses because I cannot stand anything that is icky, sticky or tacky on my lips, you know the feeling that you have rubbed your lips across a block of lard? Yeah, that feeling. Thankfully these glosses do not have too thick a formula and nor are they sticky but they do contain Sunflower oil, so are really hydrating and quite lightweight for a gloss.
Phase Zero Makeup X Love Me Beauty | The Lipstick Collection
Phase Zero Makeup X Love Me Beauty | The Lipstick Collection
So far from my using them, Dark Burgundy is the hardest one to work with and is a bit streaky, but it works fine over a lipstick. Postbox Red is not really my shade at all but it is really pigmented and Baby Pink is more of a nude and not so much of the pink and again it can be worn alone or over lipstick.

The liquid lipsticks are matte shades and all four of them dry without flaking, feathering or even running.  The four shades that I have are:
  • Classic Red which is, again as the shade states a very classic shade of red
  • Pink Suede which is one of my favourite shades and it is a pink nude
  • Chai Latte is best described as being a brown nude
  • Gingerbread is a deep brown/red which is said to warm your complexion.
All four of these liquid lipsticks are pigmented and deliver an even coat onto the lips in just a few swipes.
Phase Zero Makeup X Love Me Beauty | The Lipstick Collection
Phase Zero Makeup X Love Me Beauty | The Lipstick Collection

They dry down quite quickly and are really comfortable to wear and last for hours once applied.

The final two products within the collection are two lip toppers and they are both just stunning and my favourite products from the Phase Zero Lip Collection.
  • Holographic Girl is everything you think it will be and is definitely one for the Unicorn lovers with its pink/blue hues
  • Prosecco Kiss is my absolute favourite product from this collection and it is just stunning with its shimmery rose gold shade
What I really love about these lip toppers is that they can be born with or without lipstick and the formula is non-sticky and dries quickly so it is perfect for keeping your lipstick in place.
Phase Zero Makeup X Love Me Beauty | The Lipstick Collection
Phase Zero Makeup X Love Me Beauty | The Lipstick Collection
Again neither of them are sticky and tacky when applied and they pretty much work alone or with your lipstick.

I am really intrigued as to where the Phase Zero x LMB project will go over the next few months, I think the Lip Collection is an incredible start and a great introduction to what the entire project is about. To find out more about membership benefits check out LMB’s How It Works section and to get your 1st membership month free quote: PZONEFREE at checkout.

Discover Your Lip Wardrobe with Revlon

When this lip wardrobe from Revlon arrived, I was shocked to find so many different offerings.  For a high street brand, Revlon has managed to keep themselves competitive and relevant to what is currently quite a busy market.
Discover Your Lip Wardrobe with Revlon
The Lip Wardrobe has five different offerings inside it which includes Super Lustrous Lipsticks, Ultra HD Gel Lipscolors, Ultra HD metallics Matte Lipcolor and Colorstay Lipliners. Over the past few months, I have been working through my lip wardrobe to see what I do and don't like.

Super Lustrous Lipstick - This is the lipstick you want to make a statement with and is described as being formulated with micro fine pigments for high-impact, bold colour. With shades such as Bombshell Red, Naughty Plum and Bare Affair being just 3 of the shades.
Discover Your Lip Wardrobe with Revlon
Discover Your Lip Wardrobe with Revlon
Encased inside a black case, the lid has a see-through top so that you can see which colour is inside, a nice little addition for lipstick hoarders like me who put them into a holder and can never tell which shade is which.  On the lips, they are creamy, satiny and moisturising and really easy to apply and last around 4 hours.

Ultra HD Gel Lipcolor - I was already a fan of these lipcolors and really like the formula which is incredibly hydrating thanks to the inclusion of Hyaluronic Acid.  Almost like wearing a lip balm, these lipcolors are incredibly pigmented and thankfully non-sticky.
Discover Your Lip Wardrobe with Revlon
Discover Your Lip Wardrobe with Revlon
Within my Lip Wardrobe I had two shades (there are 15 available) which are Sand and Pink Cloud.  Sand is your peach toned nude, a shade that possibly everyone needs within their lip wardrobe and Pink Cloud which is a little too pink for me to wear but it is still a very pretty shade.

Ultra HD Metallic Matte Lipcolor - Usually the term metallic to me means bright and shiny, but these are Metallic Matte Lipcolors and Revlon describe them as being a lightweight, high definition velvety metallic matte colour. which are Moisturizing with a velvety feel. They are a100% wax-free, gel formula and an apparent favourite of Gwen Stefani.
Discover Your Lip Wardrobe with Revlon

I have two shades Gleam which is a pinky nude shade and Shine which is a berry shade.  You can wear these on their own or you can pair them up with another lipstick, but what I love is the metallic effect.  It isn't over the top glitter, but there is shine and a bit of sparkle, you will also need a lipliner because they both feather, but I like these two a lot.

Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor - Described as being a lightweight, high definition matte lip colour, this is the sister lipcolour to the Metallic Matte and it is every bit as stunning.  On the lips, it is incredibly moisturising and also has a velvety feel but for me, what lets it down is that you need a lot of layers to get full coverage, otherwise it is just too streaky. The swatch below showing how one swipe isn't enough and in the end, it took 5 swipes to achieve what I would want coverage wise.
Discover Your Lip Wardrobe with Revlon

Infatuation is a really deep brown-red almost burgundy shade and again it is a 100% wax-free, gel formula.  I really like how comfortable this is to wear and it lasts a good 4-5 hours, leaving a slight stain on the lips as it fades.

Colorstay Lipliner- One item I tend to never think of buying is a lip liner and these Colorstay liners from Revlon are described as being long-wearing, provides definition, helps lip colour last longer and prevents feathering and bleeding.
Discover Your Lip Wardrobe with Revlon
Discover Your Lip Wardrobe with Revlon
Discover Your Lip Wardrobe with Revlon
Available in 6 shades and I have both Nude and Plum.  I really like how soft and smooth the formula is when used it doesn't feel as though it is being dragged across the skin of your lips and I have found they both make a really good base for applying lipstick.

Admittedly this is quite a lipstick wardrobe with everything you might ever need to find and know about from Revlon.  I really am glad there were lip liners included because it does reinforce to me how much of a difference they do make when wearing lipstick, especially a liquid lipstick.  I have become massively impressed with the HD Gel Lip Color and really want to try a few more shades from the range but the one which surprised me the most was the Metallic Matte because I expected to really dislike it and didn't.

If you are encouraged to discover your lipstick wardrobe with Revlon, then right now everything is on offer with Superdrug.
