Jurlique Hand Rescue Mini Treats

If like me you did a big festive clean and de-junk, put up all the decorations, cleaned some more.... cooked for what feels like an entire week which means endless washing up, more cleaning and more tidying, you might notice that your hands have been working extra hard and are now tired, dry and in need some TLC and I have just the box of treats.
Hand Rescue Mini Treats from Jurlique
Hand Rescue Mini Treats from Jurlique
Jurlique was founded by Jurgen and Ulrike Klein, a German couple who migrated to Australia armed with their natural expertise – his as a biochemist, hers as a botanist – and a vision to create the purest skin care on earth. What I love is that all of the ingredients used within the Jurlique products are grown on a farm and hand picked for each item, they are also free from synthetic chemicals, pesticides, herbicides and insecticides. The story behind the brand is totally fascinating and if you would like to read it, you can do so here.

The Hand Rescue Mini Treats from Jurlique are designed to moisturise and condition over-worked hands and it combines four of the brands nourishing hand creams. The set contains Rose, Lavender, Citrus and Jasmine hand creams.

Rose Hand Cream (15ml) - This is a really luxurious hand cream which deeply moisturises skin leaving tired hands feeling incredible. Enriched with Safflower Seed Oil and Macadamia Oil which work to rebalance dryness and protect skin from moisture loss. Then we have the inclusion of Vitamin E which provides antioxidant protection for hands whereas Carrot Root Extract and Aloe Vera work to sooth dryness whilst calming and softening the skin. I love how fast this cream absorbs into the skin and it leaves no trace behind, other than the most incredible scent.

Lavender Hand Cream (15ml) - This is again a rich and very hydrating hand cream which not only restores moisture it also restores smoothness too. Formulated and enriched with Safflower Seed Oil and Macadamia Oil which work to rebalance dryness and protect skin from moisture loss asCarrot Root Extract and Aloe Vera work to sooth dryness whilst calming and softening the skin. The obvious ingredient is Lavender which is calming and the scent is just incredible.

Citrus Hand Cream (15ml) - If you like uplifting, zesty scents then this is the hand cream for you. As with the other hand creams within this collection, you will again find Safflower Seed Oil and Macadamia Oil which work to rebalance dryness and protect skin from moisture loss as Carrot Root Extract and Aloe Vera work to sooth dryness whilst calming and softening the skin. The citrus notes coming from Mandarin, Lemon and Tangerine which soothes, moisturises and leaves hands feeling soft and supple as well as leaving an incredible scent behind.

Jasmine Hand Cream (15ml) - Jasmine is one of my absolute favourite scents and it works so well with my skin. Within a hand cream it again uses Safflower Seed Oil, Macadamia Oil, Carrot Root Extract and Aloe Vera all of which come together to rebalance dryness, protect the skin from moisture loss and soothe tired hands. The scent of Jasmine has natural antioxidant properties and also helps to restore smoothness, as a scent, it is incredibly relaxing and soothing.

I love that there are four nourishing hand creams to choose from and each one of them is luxurious, absorbs quickly, is non-greasy and smells just absolutely incredible.  Whether or not you are already a fan of Jurlique, this is an amazing treat and you can find it here for just £22.

It's Skin Mini Bebe Hand Cream

If there is one thing I am slightly obsessed with, it is hand cream and I apply it very very regularly throughout the day.  To that end, I am slowly but surely working my way through a few different K-Beauty hand creams and they are just as amazing as I was expecting them to be.  If you read my blog regularly then you will know that I am also obsessed with K-Beauty.
It's Skin Mini Bebe Hand Cream

It's Skin Mini Bebe Hand Cream is described as being a sweet treat for hands and it is every bit as sweet as the packaging is cute. With a slight Cherry Blossom scent to it, the cream is incredibly hydrating and luxurious. With its non-greasy formula this hand cream is full of amazingly good skin care loving ingredients such as the hydrating and softening plant extracts of cherry blossom, papaya and aloe which work alongside nourishing honey and milk.  One the skin it absorbs on contact and leaves the skin loving scented and incredibly soft and smooth.

Priced at just £5 from BeautyMart it is the perfect hand cream for having in your hand bag so you can use it on the go.

I would love to know if you have tried this hand cream or want too!

The Hero Project Hand Rehab™ Diamond Dusted Hand & Nail Therapy with SPF 20

I am a hand cream obsessive, I go through a lot of tube of hand cream and the one item I always have on my desk, bedside table and in my hand bag, is a hand cream of sorts. The Hero Project, whom I have featured previously here, are a brand who are dedicated to creating the best skincare products in its category and with its team of highly skilled scientists and researchers, they are constantly looking to up the game of the beauty industry.
The Hero Project Hand Rehab™ Diamond Dusted Hand & Nail Therapy with SPF 20
Hand Rehab is not just an ordinary hand cream, it is described as being:
The luxurious Hand Rehab™ contains a powerhouse blend of moisture-rich Hyaluronic Acid and Aloe Vera for long lasting hydration, as well as finely-milled Diamond Dust, which gently buffs away dead skin cells and impurities while strengthening nails and tidying cuticles.
We all put our hands through quite a lot, possibly without even thinking about it and subjecting them to ink, the sun, household chemicals, constant washing and even scrubbing. The hands are the first place to show signs of ageing and are just as important to look after as your face, hair, scalp, body and feet, perhaps even more importantly. To that end, The Hero Project have developed the Hand Rehab™ Diamond Dusted Hand & Nail Therapy with SPF 20 (mouthful) which is designed to give your hands that little something extra, a bit of TLC and a good old pampering.

I adore everything about this hand cream from the packaging which details a pink and silver combination, to the tube which is a squeezy metal tube to the cream itself. The cream is a luxuriously rich hand cream which is incredibly moisturising and hydrating but without the greasiness that you often get with other creams of this nature. What it leaves behind after using is skin that is not only smooth and supple but hands that feel nourished.

Vegan and Vegetarian-friendly, this hand cream is free from parabens, sulphates, alcohol, phthalates and mineral oil and it costs just £15 here or from the Hero Project website. So if you are looking for a hand cream that gives your hands a pampering and sprinkles them with love and diamond dust, this one is the one to try.

L'Occitane Almond Velvet Hands Hand Cream

As far as I am concerned you can never have too many tubes, tubs or sachets of hand cream and if you are like me, there will be at least one in every handbag you own, one on your bedside table, one on your desk, one in your desk drawer and a few spare just in case. I am a huge fan of L'Occitane hand creams and until now could never pick a favourite, until now. L'Occitane Almond Velvet Hands Hand Cream is the newest release from L'Occitane and it is just amazing, more so that it includes SPF15!

L'Occitane Almond Velvet Hands Hand Cream
L'Occitane Almond Velvet Hands Hand Cream
L'Occitane Almond Velvet Hands Hand Cream

Packaging on L'Occitane products is always something special and this hand cream has the traditional outer box that I recognise from the Almond range but the tube itself is a lovely light pastel pink metallic tube with a plastic lid and it is rare I meet someone who doesn't have a bashed up tube of L'Occitane hand cream in their possession.

Did you know that the Almond Tree is the first to be reborn t the end of winter when its native cells trigger the renewal buds?  Well with that in mind, L'Occitane draws upon the regenerating power of the almond native cells which help to renew and revitalise the epidermis cells of the hands. On the hands, the cream is incredibly rich and silky and it is also non-greasy and as soon as it comes into contact with your skin, it begins to absorb itself.

The hand cream has a triple-action formula which smooths hands, evens out skin tone and protects against UV rays. Enriched with an almond complex which has a blend of three active ingredients which help to stimulate collagen production and smooth the skin on your hands.  Your skin tone is evened out, fine lines reduced and there is an instant nourishing feeling.  What I love about the hand cream aside from the fact it makes my hands feel so soft and smooth is the scent.  Not forgetting that L'Occitane Almond Velvet Hands does have SPF15 which will help shield the skin against environmental damage, premature signs of ageing and of sun induced brown spots.

Anyone who knows me, will know I adore the Almond range from L'Occitane and have worked my way through two jars of the Almond Velvet Balm and two bottles of shower gel, which for me is unheard of. The hand cream is just as divine and has quickly become my favourite and a 75ml tube, which is just massive (they are usually 30ml) only costs £18, though you will have to wait until April to get your hands on it ha absolutely no pun intended.

Patisserie de Bain Handcream Collection

Looking after my hands is as important to me as looking after any other part of my body. Your hands play such an important and vital role in life, that sometimes they need a little bit of love and attention. Whether you are using them to gesticulate, write, type, washing up, clean or even make food, your hands are hard at work for hours and hours everyday.

Patisserie de Bain offers a cute little hand cream collection of mouth-watering sounding creams which sound as though you want to eat them.  Each hand cream contains Shea Butter and Glycerine to help moisturise and soothe those poor hard working hands. I am one of those people who loves hand cream and goes through tubes of it every year. On my desk at work there is no less than 4 tubes at any one time, each promising to do something different. I am also quite partial to a hand scrub and I shared a new one from Lush just a few days ago here on my blog.

Those three scents are:
  • Sweet as Cherry Pie is just stunning. It smell reminds me of fresh ripe cherries that have just been cooked in a pie as it happens and in the background is a slight sprinkling of vanilla to add to the sweetness.
  • Cranberries and Cream is quite a sweet scent, much sweeter than I had anticipated and the fruity scent you associate with Cranberries is most definitely present with the cream part being much more dominant than in Sweet as Cherry Pie
  • Sugar Rose is perhaps my favourite of the three, it combines rosehip, grapes and sugar cane which is just heavenly and for me the right sweetness to not be too vanilla based or too perfumed.
Priced at just £9.99 for this little set, it is a lovely treat for your hands or indeed someone elses.  Each tube is 50ml and can be purchased separately for just £3.99.

Bee Good Honey & Crambe Daily Hand Cream

One of the brands I am glad to have made acquaintance with since I started blogging is Bee Good. Bee Good is an independent British skincare company based in rural Hampshire, who have harnessed the centuries-old healing powers of British honey, propolis and beeswax in an innovative skincare range, designed to make a real difference without the use of parabens, synthetic colour, mineral oil, silicone or SLS/SLES. Each and every one of their products are described as being packed with hard-working intensively soothing ingredients, there is nothing better to care for your lips than this nourishing and protective treatment delivered from the flower, to the bee, to you.

The product I have been using for the last month is this natural Honey & Crambe Hand Cream**. I am a huge fan of hand creams and I use a lot of it because I find working with a lot of paper, ink and spending time at a computer really does dry my hands out and I like to ensure I always have some cream to hand.

This hand cream is very rich but it absorbs itself really quickly with no effort. As you can expect if you are a fan of Bee Good products, it is packed full of ingredients to ensure your hands are extremely well moisturised and hydrated. As with most products from Bee Good you can expect to find British wild flower honey which is very moisturising, British propolis which is renowned for its antibacterial properties, pro-vitamin B5 which is skin softening and then British Crambe Oil which is said to be deeply nourishing for the skin. The final two ingredients British borage oil and camelina oil provide rich sources of essential fatty acids which help strengthen and protect the skin.

I absolutely love this hand cream, it is so luxurious and rich as well as being hydrating and moisturising, a perfect desk/handbag hero.

Treasured Orchid Range - Ted Baker

When Ted Bakers new and indulgent Treasured Orchid** bath and body range dropped through my letterbox to try, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed.  Over the last few months, I have been really surprised at how good the Ted Baker Range is, whether it is a handbag perfume, nail polish or something for the man in your life, these products have been amazing quality.

The Treasured Orchid Range, is said to be inspired by Ted's latest fashion collection.  Described as being Beautifully Feminine, the print packaging which is a lovely shade of pink, is one that stands out.

The products I have been using are a hand cream, body wash and body spray which all feature the scent of rose, so if you are a fan of products with a rose scent, then these might just be for you.

The hand cream is a moisturising hand cream which is made with rose, sandalwood and raspberry, is white in colour and of a medium texture.  As soon as it comes into contact with the skin it absorbs itself instantly, leaving behind a floral yet fruity scent on your skin. It also contains Shea Butter which has natural moisturising properties.

The body wash, which is clear in colour with no tint to it again features rose, sandalwood and raspberry and the scent is similar, though not quite the same as the hand cream, it is much more of a floral scent.

The final product is the aptly described 'vivacious' body spray, in its clear plastic bottle with spritz applicator, the liquid inside looks the colour I would expect the hand cream and the shower gel to look.  once it has been spritzed, again with a combination of rose, sandalwood and raspberry and for me this is the one which has the fruitiest scent to it, the raspberry being more notable than the rose.

These products are available in Boots with prices starting at just £5.50 right up to £10 for a travel set and £15 for a gift box.  All of which make a lovely present and a great addition to your collection.

Hand Chemistry - The hand cream that promises 10 years in 10 days!

Hand Chemistry from the makers of Inhibitif is descirbed and referred to as 'The hand cream that promises 10 years in 10 days' and I have some right now which I am going to put to the test.

It is described as follows:
"Concentrated multi- functional hand cream targets 8 signs of hand aging simultaneously. The extraordinary 19.5% active complex concentration visibly improves firmness, elasticity, density, evenness, brightness, texture, smoothness and hydration"

Designed to be used and applied to clean hands both in the morning and in the evening results should be visible in as little as 11 days with continued improvement for up to 2 months. Continue use to maintain results. Intended for use on hands and forearms only.

Tube Posters
This hand cream arrives in a rather fetching white and pink coloured box and inside is a matching tube.  Everything you need to know about this product can be found on the box and it includes a list of ingredients and you will see that it is tested on humans.

The cream itself is not too thick a consistency and is very easily absorbed into the skin where it leaves behind a lovely citrus scent and an immediate softness of the skin on your hands which lasts until you next apply the cream.  What I like about this cream is that it is designed to be used twice a day and not constantly, so once again, for me, I tend to use it as part of my morning and evening skin regime when I am washing my face and applying moisturising cream anyway, it is no extra hassle and I am really excited to see what the results will actually be like.  Below you will find a photograph of my hands before I started to use this hand cream and in 11 days time, I will report back on my findings and show another photo to see what the difference is.

I may have an addiction...

Soap and Glory is a phenomenon that I has hit us all in one way or another, I don't think I have come across anyone who hasn't used their products, loves their products and is like me, a little bit taken with them.

Whilst having a clear out of my wardrobe where I have some shelving inside for products, I was quite alarmed as to how much S&G stuff I had.  I do love their Christmas Gift Sets and am always straight in to buy one as soon as they are available because they are such good value for money and they last me pretty much all year round.

If you haven't heard of Soap and Glory (I mean really??) You can find out more about them HERE

Anyway, here I am showing my addiction:

So as you can see from the box above there is a whole lot of products in there, said box which is so full is missing two products which are:

The Breakfast Scrub which I have been using on my elbows, shins and knees where I have a few dry skin issues and of course the foot buffer which I love (though hate feet) to help get my feet in tip top shape for spring time FitFlop wearing.

Anyway... as for what is in said box...

As you can see there is a whole lot of Soap and Glory loving going on here... I was seriously surprised at how much I had here and that doesn't take into account the tube of Hand Food which is sat on my desk at work!

So we have in Picture one - Two 500ml Clean On Me™ Creamy Clarifying Shower Gel  and Smoothie Star™ Body Lotion 500ml  = £21

Picture Two - Hand Food™ Hand Cream 125ml x 2, 3 Heel Genius 25ml (well 2.5 tubes as one is half empty),  Pulp-Friction™ Foaming Fruity Body Scrub 250ml, and Face Soap & Clarity™ Foaming Face Wash 150ml - £51.50

Picture Three - Peaches And Clean™ Deep Cleansing Milk 200ml, Thick & Fast™ Mascara False Lash Effect Mascara Superjet black, Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss, Off Your Face™ 3 in 1 Cleansing Cloths and Mist You Madly™ Body Spray 250ml and Soap and Glory Mits- £42

Picture 4 - Sugar Crush™ Body Scrub 300ml and 2 x The Righteous Butter™ Body Butter 300ml = £29

So there is quite a few products here... so I decided to add up how much all of this would cost me if I was to walk into Boots right now...

£143.50

However, with the foot buffer and Breakfast scrub it takes the grand total
to £161.75

This has seriously shocked me and tomorrow a friend of mine is bringing me in a new hand product called Endless Glove that I have been wanting to try, to be fair she bought it on a 3 for 2 and picked up two by mistake, so it is costing me nothing... but.... woah it is a lot of products and a lot of money!
