Edelweiss 'Milky Cleanser' and '24 H Essence Cream'

I was recently lucky enough to be selected as one of just 75 bloggers to trial a limited edition skincare set by Edelweiss' from Siin Life. The set which was wrapped so beautifully that I didn't want to take it out of the box includes two products which are a 30ml tube of a 'Milky Cleanser' and a '24 H Essence Cream'.

Before this set had arrived Edelweiss and Siin Life are two brands I had never heard of or come across.  Originating in Austria their products are now available in the UK which you can see HERE.  The first thing I noticed about the brand is that they are paraben and paraffin free and are not tested on animals, more about the brand can be read on their site.

For me the first thing I loved about this set is how I felt when it was opened. The bright royal purple packaging inside the box really caught my attention and then there is the actual packaging itself, quite simple and subtle in design but it does look sleek.  Opening the box is also an experience in itself because it slides open to reveal the two products inside and again their packaging replicate that of the box, sleek, simple and subtle.

The one thing that did grab my immediate attention was "The Eternal Beauty" which you can clearly see on the wrap around and the words "The Austrian Innovation against all kinds of wrinkles".

I have been using both of these products since I got them and the first thing I can say about them is that they are very much a luxury product, almost like a spa treatment at home and given how stunning everything had been, I wasn't surprised.

The Milky Cleanser is what I would describe as being a clear gel when first applied to the skin and then as you begin to massage it onto your face it becomes 'milky'.  The scent is totally amazing, I liked it from the first try and again exactly the kind of scent that I would associate with a spa, that fresh clean scent.

"The siin active ingredients relax stressed skin and let it breathe in the truest sense of the word"

It claims to give a Deep cleansing for regeneration of your skin which is rich in nutrients and contains some of the following:
  • Energised Spring Water from the Alps
  • Exclusive Edelweiss Extract
  • Goji-berry with Vitamin C, A (retinol) and Vitamin B
  • Ginseng Root Extract
Once on the skin there is an immediate soothing feeling and whenever I do use a product like this, I always leave it on the skin for a few minutes to allow it to sink into the skin and work its magic and with this cream it didn't take long at all.

The 24H Essence Cream which has an SPF15 is quite different from other moisture products I've used.  It is referred too as a 2 in 1 product and is said to combines the properties of a day and night cream in one single product and gives 24-hour all-round protection of your skin for your face, your neck and your décolleté.

"This intensely moisturising day and night cream helps to neautralise free radicals, protects your skin and ensures a silky smooth complexion"

As with the Milky Cleanser, this product also contains:

  • Energised Spring Water from the Alps
  • Exclusive Edelweiss Extract
  • Aloe Vera and Olive Tree Leave Extract
  • Goji-berry
  • Wheat Germ Extract and Jojoba Oil
When the cream first comes out of the tube, it is released really slowly and I found I needed to squeeze a little harder than I would usually for it to be released, so I had expected it to be quite a thick consistency but it wasn't at all, the cream itself is quite light and once on the skin it took a bit of massaging to absorb into the surface and once on the skin there is another wonderful scent left behind as well as leaving my skin feeling very soft and smooth to the touch.

I have really enjoyed using these products and they are most definitely very luxurious and such a nice treat to have had.  The little kit I have costs just over £50 for these two tubes in the wonderful packaging and I think would make a fantastic gift for someone who enjoys a little bit of luxury or needs a bit of extra TLC because I would be more than happy to use them again.

Face by HealGEL

HealGel is a brand I really really like.  The first thing that always catches my attention with the products from this range is the packaging, if you read my review of HealGel Eye then you will know I really rated it because it kind of looks like it has come from some very old fashioned pharmacy with its design and typeface and for me that really stood out.  The bottle itself is also as eye-catching and mimics the design of the box as you can see.

HealGel Face is a product I have been using a few times a week for a good few months now and the lovely people at HealGel say the following about this product:

"HealGel Face is an exceptional anti-ageing formula designed to smooth, firm and replenish to give instantly plumper, revitalised looking skin.

Arnica and Madecassoside are suspended in liposomes with powerful peptides and biodynes to initiate a uniquely soothing and collagen boosting process. HealGel Face also contains a unique blend of Omega Oils to replenish dehydrated skin and restore elasticity. To this another vital dimension is added; a powerful three part hyaluronic acid complex provides a plumping and tightening effect".

Well if that isn't enough to make you want to try it, I don't know what is.  To date both HealGel Eye and Face are really lightweight, the cream for me is more like a serum and once on the skin it is absorbed really quickly leaving no trace behind that it was really ever there other than this wonderful scent which appears from the natural oils, it is one of those scents that you most definitely get when you have been to a spa, instantly relaxing and you just know it is doing something good.

The bottle as you can see has a pump dispenser which I personally am a huge fan of, I believe products with pump dispensers are created this way because one pump from this is sufficient enough to cover your entire face and when you do so, I find it is instantly cooling on the skin, which is a really nice sensation.   Once on the face the notable difference in my skin is quite something, soft and smooth to the touch and on my cheeks where I often suffer from dry patches, HealGel Face is excellent in assisting me with moisturising that part of the skin, especially if I have just exfoliated and the same effect when I use it on the sides of my nose, which again I have issues with dry skin.

You can purchase HealGel Face for £48.00 and I will be sad when my tube runs out because I absolutely love using it.

What do you think of HealGel Face?
Have you tried any products from within the HealGel Range?

HealGel was created by a team of leading British plastic and cosmetic surgeons with the help of a renowned dermatological biochemist and a well known actor. They wanted to create products that helped them with their work, and to be able to provide the reassurance of genuinely effective skin care.

April Glossybox - Spring Fever

So I have just taken delivery of the much anticipated April Glossybox, which we all know has been designed by Pearl Lowe and her love of all things floral.  Before getting to the contents of my box, I have to say that I really do love the design on the box, it is so pretty and this is one box that I am definitely going to be using for other things:

April Glossybox - Spring Fever

So here you have the very pretty box, one of the prettiest ones I have seen from Glossy box.  Now for the content:

April Glossybox - Spring Fever

Opening the box, I kind of hoped that the ribbon would have matched the peach colour of the outer box, but never mind, it is still nicely wrapped and once inside, my Postie has clearly been bouncing the box around because the contents were all over the place.  However, once I sorted them out, this is what I found:

April Glossybox - Spring Fever

Nip+Fab dry skin fix body butter in mango

I've have never used any product from Nip+Fab so I am chuffed that I have one in my Glossy Box to try.  It is described as being an indulgent, whipped body butter to repair dry and dehydrated skin with aquaxyl – a 24 hour moisture boosting ingredient.

A full sized sample of this product is £9.95 for 200ml so this size is worth around £2.50

Essie Nail Polish in Canyon Coral

I have fallen a little bit in love with Essie Nail Polishes at the minute and from previous posts you might have seen my haul HERE and HERE.

This polish is a full sized sample retailing at £7.99 and it is a really lovely bright almost reddish colour, so cannot wait to try that.

Sleek Blusher – Suede

This is another full sized product retailing at £4.49 and I got Suede for my shade, I have seen other boxes with Flushed and Pixie Pink and in mine is this lovely natural looking colour.  I am yet to catch onto the Sleek loving, so maybe this will hook me in.

As an added bonus to Glossybox subscribers there is a 20% off offer on purchases – expires on 13th May

Yves Rocher So Elixir Purple

Again, perfumes have been on my radar quite a bit recently as you can see HERE and HERE. I am a huge fan of perfumes and I quite like getting decent sized samples.  This one is a 5ml sample which I guess is worth around £5 and It is described as being an ‘intoxicating and magnetic fragrance’.

I havent been able to resist smelling it and I really quite like it, quite fruity though when you first put it onto your skin it is a really strong scent and it takes a while to settle.

A full size bottle of 50ml will cost you  £44 and once again this product comes with an offering of £5 any order over £35 plus free postage, on any product from Yves Rocher.

Sunsense Daily Face SPF

This cream, which is described as being a light, soft cream tinted with a sheer matte finish and has an SPF of 50 which is quite impressive and it is an oil-free formula making it ideal for most skin types, even my own combination/oily.

This is a full sized sample and is worth £18.50 for the 75ml and also has an offer of 25% off your next purchase, ending 31st June (I am sure they mean 30th June however).

I must also remember that included as normal is the Glossy Magazine:

April Glossybox - Spring Fever

And inside the magazine is an intrview with Pearl Lowe herself by Kate Cornell and an introductory message from Pearl herself on the love of all things vintage and floral.  Inside the magazine is more information on each of the products included within the box, which opens up to be almost A3 in size.

So there you have it, my Glossybox, one that I am really chuffed with this month.  What are your thoughts?
