Eyecare with GA-DE Cosmetics

Eye care should be as important as any other part of your routine, it should definitely be as fun to try new products and figure out what does and does not work for you.  As a habitual insomniac, I am always looking for products which claim they can de-puff and make dark circle vanish from the eyes, anything to make me look less dead and more human.  From GA-DE Cosmetics, I have been trying two of they eye care products - the Aqua Jolt Vitalising Gel Cream and the Aqua Jolt Dark Circles Relief.
Aqua Jolt range, which I have featured before here, is scientifically created, researched and developed with chemists and colourists who are constantly working to explore new materials and techniques, whilst at the same time, ensuring science and artistry is at the forefront to ensure that the health of the skin is the main priority.

The Vitalising Eye Cream (£20) is described as being an ultra-hydrating, rich eye gel cream and it comes packaged inside this little blue pot.

This Gel Cream, which is an absolute delight to use, is infused with purified hyaluronic acid which helps with levels of hydration for skin, which for me is especially important because the undereye is always dehydrated. It also helps and gives that soft, smooth, fresh and supple look.

GADE also uses an exclusive restructuring and tightening CAFEISILANE C® technology, an innovative formula which promotes the skin’s renewal process for firmer, smoother skin around the delicate eye area while at the same time working to minimise puffiness and the appearance of dark circles. Also included is a blend of antioxidant soothing, calming and purifying plant extracts, this rich gel cream protects against environmental factors as well as fatigue and stress, for eyes that look rested and awake.

I use an old mini eyeroller for applying to my undereye and what I love about this gel is just how soothing it is when you apply it.  I tend to keep my eye cream/gel or serum in the fridge, but even not doing that, this gel is still cold enough to be a treat.

The GA-DE Aqua Jolt Serum (£27) is my favourite product of the two, but only just. It is described as being a concentrated eye gel serum which has been created to defy dark under-eye circles and help reduce the appearance of fine lines and puffiness.

Anyone who knows me will know that I suffer from bouts of Insomnia, so dark circles and puffiness are part of my armour and concealer is my weapon of choice. However, this serum does make a real difference with puffiness.

As with the eye gel above, this serum has been specially formulated with a blend of powerful hydrating and soothing antioxidant actives which include purified hyaluronic acid, natural Meiyanol elderberry flower extrac which come together to leave the eye area feeling fresh, hydrated, and radiant. There is also the inclusion of Vitamin E, Ginger and the exclusive FUCOGEL® and AQUAXYL™, both of which are present in the Aqua Jolt Oil-Free Hydration Gel Cream plus we also have an ingredient called CAFEISILANE C® which helps to promote skin renewal giving a firmer, smoother, brighter, and more resilient eye contour.

If you are yet to have a look at or even try any of the products GA-DE Cosmetics has to offer, you can find them all here, one of my reviews here plus more - I'm talking cleansers, toners, Eye creams, day cream, night cream, overnight oils and serums!

Christian Breton Eye Priority

Christian Breton, an expert in Eye Treatment has, using his 25 years of experience created a range called Eye Priority and it is a range which comes together to care for the most sensitive part of your face - the eye area.  That extensive range has an impressive 18 products which are designed to tackle a variety of eye concerns based on the use of Cryotherapy, something that really interests and intrigues me. The area around the eye is five times more sensitive than the rest of the face and is always the first to show tiredness, lack of sleep and because of that sensitivity, it is here that the first signs of ageing begins to appear along with wrinkles and fine lines.
Christian Breton Eye Priority
For me, my main eye concerns as I've mentioned in previous posts is that I find it incredibly hard to sit back and relax, switch off and sometimes insomnia sets in and sleep becomes a luxury, so for me, eye products are an absolute must. TO that end I have three lovely products which I have been using.

Eyecare Anti Fatigue - If you have tired eyes, the kind that you just want to rub with your fists until you either wake up or fall asleep, then this is the product you need.  Inside the pot is a cooling gel formula and it is said that helps to relieve signs of ageing and fatigue around the delicate eye area and pays specific attention to and targets puffiness, dark circles and fine lines.
Christian Breton Eye Priority
I find it incredibly relaxing to apply and because the non-oily gel delivers a cooling sensation upon application there is no need to use a rollerball or any other form of facial tool, it does everything for you in one application. I also found that it absorbed effortlessly into the skin and because it has both and melts in effortlessly to calming and decongesting properties any darkness and puffiness under the eye slowly fades away. Priced at £45 for 15ml it is worthy of the investment if you want to alleviate any of the issues mentioned and you can find it here.

Masque Yeux Perfection - This is described as being a perfecting and lifting eye mask and it is a really nice treat for those tired and weary eyes. I find that spending most of my day in front of a computer does irritate my eyes, they do become dry and itchy and I rely on facial masks to keep me alert and add that much-needed moisture throughout the day.
Christian Breton Eye Priority
This product has a luxuriously rich texture which,  not only replenishes moisture but is also designed to target signs of ageing and fatigue around the delicate eye area.  Using ingredients such as Aloe extract and antioxidant Vitamin E, the eye cream delivers what is referred to as 'a comforting veil onto skin' and it is hydrating and it does to restore lost moisture to leave my eyes feeling a lot smoother and refreshed. I just don't have enough lines and wrinkles around my eyes (thankfully) to confirm whether or not it does visibly reduce the appearance of lines and creases.  Again, this product is priced at £39 and you can find it here.

The final product is my favourite of the three I have tried and they are the Anti-wrinkle Hydrogel eye contour masks which claim to transform skin in just 25 minutes. The anti-ageing patches are quick and simple to apply; simply remove the film and place on the under-eye area, much like any other eye mask you might have used.
Christian Breton Eye Priority
Once they have been applied, the masks provide an instant boost to visibly awaken that eye contour.area.  They are enriched with Kaolin, Vitamin E and Collagen, all of which work to offer essential hydration and nourishment to the eye area. Then Ubiquinone works to visibly smooth the skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Priced at £27 for a pack of three, you can find them right here.

If eye care is important to you, then this range is well worth looking into. I have absolutely loved using it and it is a brand that lives up to its claims and it promises!

OPTREX WARMING EYE MASK

Rest and relaxation are two of the R's that I really enjoy and try to do as much as I possibly can. With a job that requires my full on attention, three cats, a husband, blogging and house work to manage, life csn sometimes become a little bit much. So once a week, everything is cancelled for one hour. That one hour (sometimes longer) is my time to lay back, relax and chill out. Me time.

When I saw the Optrex Warming Eye Masks appear in a few blog posts, I made a mental note to go into Boots and pick them up, I was sold on the idea of them and wanted to give them a try. At £3.99 for a pac of two or £9.99 for a pack of 8, they are not going to break the bank, but equally if they work, then they are likely to become a permanent fixture in my life.

Whilst these masks have no skincare benefits for you and nor should they, I can admit to you that they are just blooming amazing and if you haven't given them a try, then run to Boots and grab yourself some and give them a try.

These Eye Warming Masks from Optrex, the eye care specialists recognise the strain the daily grind can have on your mind and body and using the latest breakthrough innovation to relieve and relax those tired eyes in just ten minutes. Using a unique Microsteam technology, the mask starts to warm up when it's opened, releasing 10 minutes of gentle, soothing steam (which is invisible to the naked eye) to relax and revive tired eyes.  Once you have places the mask over your eyes, they hooked nicely over your ears to hold it in place, you can feel the warming sensation after just a few minutes and you can wear them for up to 20 minutes, so I always wait until they have cooled down.

The masks are a great way to encourage you to relax and wind down, especially if you find it hard to switch off or hard to fall asleep.  I often do find it hard to fall asleep, so with the use of these masks half an hour before going to bed, I find that I am ready to drift off to sleep much quicker than I would have done ordinarily.  As these masks come in handy sachets, they would be brilliant for travelling with and would be quite a blessing on those night flights when I always find it hard to sleep.

You can purchase these masks from Boots (here) and if Lavender is a scent for you, there is also the option to try the Lavender scented masks, something that I plan on doing very soon!

Making a Spectacle of myself!

One thing many bloggers might not know about me is that I am short-sighted and I wear glasses. I also wear contact lenses if I can be really bothered in a morning, I am a daily
lenses kind of girl if you're asking, but on the whole it is glasses for me, they are much less faffing. As I am that short sighted and don't really mind wearing glasses, I have never considered laser treatment. The only time I do need to wear my glasses is if I am reading, writing, on the computer or if I drove a car, which I don't.
Making a Spectacle of myself!
Vision Direct is Europe’s largest online retailer of contact lenses stocking over 1 million lenses from world leading brands, including Focus Dailies, Air Optix and Acuvue Moist. Vision Direct is dedicated to making the purchase of contact lenses easy, quick and affordable. It offers free, fast delivery and seven days a week customer support, as well savings of up to 42% against high street opticians.

I really should purchase a new pair of glasses, I can't even remember how long I have had these ones modelled above by my office pet Fraser the Dog. I bought them because they are made by Silhouette and they have bendy arms on them. As I often forget my glasses are on my head, hooked into my top or on my desk, I wanted something that wouldn't bend or break and true to form, in the years I have had these glasses, they haven't bend or broken once. They are now just well worn.

Looking online to purchase glasses is actually quite a straightforward task. Vision Direct comes with a whole host of hints and guides to help you purchase your next pair of glasses such as "When you're buying women's glasses online, it's important to choose frames that are comfortable as well as stylish. Shopping for frames that suit your face shape is the best way to ensure your glasses will fit well, so you can save money and time by buying online and get the perfect glasses".  It is at this point you can choose your glasses by face shape, frame shape and of course the colour.

Having had a look at which glasses Vision Direct had on offer for me and my face shape, I was able to narrow it down to a choice of four - Alice, Gerry, Jenna and Jamie:
Having had rimless glasses for many years now, I thought it is about time I embraced my spectacles and went for something a little more bold!  All four pairs - Alice, Gerry, Jamie and Jenna are similar in that they are bold and black rimmed but different in their appearance and design.  Now I have found some new glasses I like, I need to get myself into gear and order them before I change my mind.

Are you a glasses wearer and would you purchase your next pair online?
