Neom Mood Boost Bundle

One of the best bargains I have ever managed to get my hands on is this Neom Mood Boost Bundle, which at the time of purchase cost £45 via Lookfantastic at the beginning of January.
Neom Mood Boost Bundle
The bundle, as you can see feature the Neom Mini Well-being Pod Diffuser, the happiness essential oil blend and Happiness Scented Travel Candle 75g.

I am a big fan of my essential oils and have shared many a blog post on what I use, why I use it, what I feel those oils do for and of course how I use the oils. Essential oils come in many forms - usually as near blends which you then diffuse, within a bath oil, in candles and also in beauty products too. How you choose to use them and for what purpose is quite the journey.
Starring the Mini Wellbeing Pod Diffuser, a 100% natural essential oil blend and mini scented candle, the NEOM Mood Boost Bundle welcomes a refreshing and uplifting aroma to any space in your home.
I picked this bundle up, not only because it was incredible value for money, but because it now sits on my desk at work. I have two oil diffusers at home - one in the bedroom and one in the lounge, neither of which are suitable for the office, but this one works so incredibly well.

The Wellbeing Pod Mini Essential Oil Diffuser – which is available in either Pink or Black, mine is Black, is described as being ideal for smaller spaces such as the bathroom on or even your car. It is powered by either battery or USB charge and it is not much bigger than a tin of Heinz Beans!

The pod mini uses what is cold ‘cold diffusion technology’ which means your chosen essential oil or oils are converted from being that oil into micro fine vapour without using heat or water and it is released into the atmosphere to stimulate your senses and boost your wellbeing. There is three different settings to adjust the intensity of your vapour and a timer which can be set for 30 minutes to two hours for intermittent fragrance.

There is a who collection of oils to choose from, which of course only Neom ones are recommended for use with this Pod Mini. So you have the choice of:
  • Scent to Sleep
  • Scent to make you happy
  • Scent to de-stress
  • Scent to boost your energy
  • Scent to calm and relax
Each one of these blends has specially selected oils to fulfil a purpose. With my bundle, I have the Happiness Essential Oil Blend.

I love that you can choose an oil to suit your mood, in this case, the Happiness Essential Oil Blend 10ml, is a100% natural essential oil blending 7 uplifting notes which includes the likes of orange blossom, neroli, lemon, mimosa and mandarin. All of which have properties to help to enhance the mood, uplift, de-stress and even deal with nervous tension. Leon is also said to help clear the air of toxins that surround us.

As well as being used with your Wellbeing Pod, this oil can also be added to your bath or used as a massage oil, so definitely worth finding the perfect blend for you.

The final part of this bundle is the Happiness Scented Travel Candle 75g.

This candle is blended using 100% natural fragrances and it features NEOM’s Happiness fragrance which as with the oil above blends seven essential oils including white neroli, mimosa and lemon and the throw of the scent, even before this candle is lit is incredible.
Neom Mood Boost Bundle
Hand poured using natural wax, this candle has a burn time of around 20 hours and when using, the advice is to use a breathing exercise which I find really helpful. The idea is that as you inhale the relaxing fragrance, practice mindful breathing techniques…breathe in through your nose for 7 seconds and out through your mouth slowly for 11 seconds. I always assumed this technique was for use with oils to help with relaxation and nervous tension, which of course it does, but it also helps with other scents too.

I was lucky to grab this bundle from Lookfantastic back at the beginning of January for just £45 and it is worth keeping an eye out for these offers. Right now the offer is £55 for the same Pod Mini and an Oil which is a saving of £15, so still a bargain to be had.

Davaj Face and Eye Serum

Every so often a product comes into your being which sounds amazing, you use it before taking photos like a naughty blogger and that is true of two serums I have been lucky enough to try by Davaj. Like many people, I love natural skincare and I especially love anything which contains essentials oils, I am a tad geeky when it comes to them because I like to read up and see what benefits they will or should have for me. The oils in these Davaj serums are not diluted with cheaper base oils and the ingredients in both formulas are picked carefully to work in synergy to bring skin nourishment with anti-wrinkle benefits!

Davaj Natural Serums blend together high quality ingredients to deliver dramatic visible anti-ageing benefits. Withing their range are three products - Eyes, Face and Body Serum. I was kindly sent the eye and face serums and they ooze luxury from start to finish.

As you can see the dark violet glass bottles, which are designed to store the natural products, not only work prolong the shelf life of each serum, but also boost vital properties of each ingredients. Each bottle also comes with a pipette, which makes using each serum an absolute breeze.

The Davaj Eye Lifting Serum was made with two main goals in mind, the is the ability to deliver dramatic skin improvement and to offer a one of a kind concentrated formula
using quality organic oils and actives.  What I like about this serum is the ingredients.  We start with what are referred to as the base and for this Argan and Rosehip oils are used, both have powerful wrinkle reducing properties with Rosehip also being rich in Vitamin C and both help increase hydration in the skin.

Further ingredients in the eye serum include Broccoli, Pomegranate and Moringa Seed Oils, as soon as I saw Broccoli, my interest was pricked because I have never used a product with it as an ingredient! It turns out that it is packed full of anti-oxidents and it also contains vitamin A, is highly moisturising and absorbs into the skin really quickly. All those seed oils come together to create a formula which is highly protective and restorative on the skin. The final ingredient I feel needs a mention is Carrot Seed Oil, which is described as having nearly magical rejuvenating effect on the skin, to not only soften and smooth the skin, but to assist with cell growth and skin rejuvenation and effectively repairs damage caused by free radicals.

What I love about this serum is that it isn't over oily and it isn't super runny.  When applied to the skin, it instantly disappears beneath the surface and leaves no trace behind that it was ever there.  I am lucky enough to not yet have notable wrinkles around my eyes, but the skin under my eyes, always looks much brighter.  This Serum has an RRP £55.

The Davaj - Intense Remodelling Face Serum, like the eye serum also has two main goals - to dramatically improve the overall condition of your skin and create a one of a kin concentrated formula to do just that.  The active ingredients in this formula starts with Omega 3,6, 9 Fatty Acids from Organic Argan Oil, they penetrate into the deeper layers of your skin. The use of Spillanthes Acmella Flower Extract which helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and Pomegranate Seed Oil which leaves your skin feeling soft, smooth and supple.

After using, the first thing your skin feels is soft and smooth not to mention supple.  I was also surprised to find that there was no oily residue left anywhere on my face, though the oil does absorb itself super quick.  This Serum has an RRP £65 for 50ml.

Again within this serum there is one stand out ingredient and for it is Hazelnut Oil which contains Vitamin E, making it essential for the skin.  It is also described as being an effective skin tonic and moisturiser. Its astringent effect helps to tighten skin tone, regenerate cells and strengthen surface capillaries. It works really well for a good facial massage and is said to be particularly good for oily/acne prone skin types.

With all of these essential oils being included in each serum, I was surprised to find that there was no oily residue left on my skin after application and they both absorb themselves incredibly quickly into the skin.  With the eye serum, I have found that I only need to use two small drops from the pipette and I drop them onto the top of my hand, then using my index finger, transfer the serum to my under-eye.  With the facial serum, I have found that again, less is more and no more than 4 drops are required to complete the application to my face.

Scent wise, you don't have to worry about walking around smelling of broccoli because neither smell of vegetables, infact to me, the scent of fruit is the first thing to capture my senses and as you massage the serums into your skin, the smell disappears.

Overall, these for me have been a fantastic discovery.  I use them both morning and evening when I feel my skin really does need some TLC, rather than using them everyday and you love discovering new products with natural ingredients, then Davaj must be your next stop.

Bodhi and Birch Neroli Lucé Revitalising Face Oil

Facial oils have become something if a fascination to me, ever since I was first introduced to them by balance me a good few months ago.  As something with combination skin leading towards the oily side, I never would have imagined that I could use a face oil, always believing that it would leave my skin looking more like an oil slick than ever before, turns out I was very wrong about that and infact my skin reacts really well to all of the oils I have tried so far.

Bodhi is a company I am slowly learning about as I make my way through some of their products. Having fallen for their Mint The Refreshing Bath and Shower Therapy which I've shared HERE, I have equally become quite fond of the product I am sharing with you today and that is the Neroli Lucé Revitalising Face Oil.

Described as follows:

Revitalise and rebalance with skin-toning Tunisian Neroli, rejuvenating Frankincense and restorative Sea Buckthorn oil.
Instantly absorbed to nourish and hydrate skin leaving it toned and radiant without feeling greasy. Vital vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids help revive a lacklustre complexion, increase elasticity, boost resilience and rebalance the skin’s natural hydration system.

So as an oil it is quite surprising that it doesn't leave your skin feeling oily, that was always my fear, instead what it does is immediately absorb itself into your skin, almost on contact.  Bodhi say this oil will do many things and these are just some them:
  • Combat oily zones and eradicate dry patches - well yes it does, much more than I hoped it world and my dry cheeks have been banished and at the end of a working day my nose and the rest if my tone no longer have a shine to them.
  • Help to tone, tighten and refine pores - I don't have this problem anyway (I don't thin) so I can't really comment on whether it does or not
  • Rebalance the skins natural hydration system - I have to say that when I do use this, my skin feels wonderfully soft and smooth all day long
The most important thing for me about this oil is the scent, no matter how good something is, if I don't like the scent of it, chances are I won't use it.  This however I do really really like the scent of, it is one of those uplifting scents that makes you go "aaahhh" as you smell it and it uses a whole range if ingredients.

Starting with Neroli which is sourced in Tunisia, Neroli is sourced from bitter orange tees and more importantly their fragrant blossoms.  Add to that:
  • Frankincense which you can most definitely smell and as an oil it helps with the general skin tone and condition while reducing oily skin, rejuvenating the more mature skin.
  • Sea Buckthorn oil is used to help boost the healing of skin and help combat wrinkles
  • Grapeseed Oil is a lightweight oil which absorbs super quick into the skin and it helps encourage the production of elastin and hyaluronic acid.  It is also said to help the skin retain firmness and you fullness for longer
  • Apricot Kernel Oil is known for its abilities to soothe and nourish the skin wilts helping it to retain elasticity and suppleness, not to mention the fact it is rich in 6 Vitamins including A, and E
  • Jojoba which helps to balance your sebum production, unclog pores and is anti-inflammatory to boot.
  • Finally there is Evening Primrose Oil which helps to restore brighteness to the skin without clogging your pores.
Naturally there is more information to be had about each and every one of those ingredients which can be found online.

The oil itself is exactly that, it is an oil and it has a similar constituency to Olive oil and on your skin, which is likely to be quite warm it can become quite runny, so with that in mind, one squirt of the pump is more than enough to cover your entire face.  The instructions for using this oil are that you should use it both morning and evening after cleansing and toning and massage one to two pumps over the face, blending from your décolletage up to your forehead. You can also use this oil under make-up to help even out your skin tone and reduce the mid-day shine.

Again it has this quite striking orange colour to the oil and as I've said, I am a huge fan of its scent, it is quite powerful when you first release some, but as you massage into the skin a the scent settles down and is really quite lovely, it is one of those scents that would make the most amazing distressing candle to burn when you need some time out to relax and forget about whatever it was.

If like me you were and still are sceptical as to whether it not facial oils would work for you, I can only urge you to reach out and try one, I am so glad I did because it gives me a whole new field of products to use and this one in particular is especially wonderful and is one I wouldn't hesitate to purchase for myself (after making my way through the rest of the range).

If I have managed to convince you to try this product then you can find this amazing oil for £32 (for 15 ml) on the Bodhi website.

Have you tried Bodhi? What did you think?
