Erborian Liquid BB Creme Cushion Compact

Erborian is one of those brands I just adore, it is exciting, it is new and different, it is a little bit quirky and it does amazing make up - especially the PP Creme which I adore.  So landing on my mat is a new product which is called the cushion BB Creme and if you like original, I don't see any reason why you wouldn't like this, cushion products seem to be all over the show right now, so I am glad to see Erborian on the case. I am a big fan of the original BB Creme, so I was excited to give this a try, more so because it arrives in a small little compact, meaning less room taken up in my handbag.

Erborian say that this BB Cushion creme will help to enhance the complexion and immediately moisturize your skin and the formula provides sheer coverage and helps to:

1. Even out skin tone
2. Conceal the appearance of flaws
3. Soften the visible signs of aging
4. Provide a feeling of freshness and instant moisture
5. Give a baby skin effect

Unsurprisingly this product is packed full of amazing skincare ingredients which are known for their antioxidant and hydrating properties and others which have soothing benefits such as Ginseng, liquorice, yam and kigella africana.  There is also the inclusion of horsetail which is known to help strengthen the skins barrier functions.

I really like the formula of this BB Creme, it isn't sticky or tacky on the skin and once applied my skin feels so smooth the touch and instantly fresh feeling. I have shade Clair which is the lightest of the two shades (the other being Golden) and it is a perfect match for my light skin tone. On the skin, whilst it isn't entirely weightless, it feels no different to having applied a tinted moisturiser or BB Creme but the big difference for me is how it makes my skin feel - moisturised and I find I don't need to use as much as I would do with a foundation because the coverage is pretty darn good.

My only issue with the compact is the sponge applicator, I am yet to get to grips with it properly and currently prefer to use my stippling brush to apply, but I haven't quite given up on the sponge yet and feel that as it is part of the product, it is there for a reason.

The Erborian Cushion BB is a QVC exclusive and it will be priced at £26.50 when it launches. Designed for all skin types, this is a product well worth waiting for and is like skincare and makeup all rolled into one, perfect for the Erborian brand and if you are yet to discover them, do so, it is amazing.

Erborian Bamboo Waterlock Mask

When moving from one season to the next, or indeed with the Great British weather, one day to the next, my skin can often decide it is having one of those off days where it can be greasy, dry, flaky and just look generally dull and grey. It is at this point that I know my skin need a good exfoliation and a lot of hydration. When the Bamboo Waterlock Mask from Erborian landed on my doorstep, I couldn't wait to give it a try and given the colour of the packaging, it isn't a product that you are going to miss spotting within your stash!

I am a huge fan of Erborian skincare, anything that is a French/Korean hybrid is always going to wow me and something that promises to instantly and deeply hydrate, give an instant plumping effect and a feeling of freshness upon application is just something I need right now.

The tube within which The Erborian Bamboo Waterlock Mask sits is sturdy enough and designed so you can put it down on any surface, once the lid is off, you can scoop out a little of the gel mask and apply without dropping it, dripping it or knocking it over. The mask is referred to as a hydro-gel mask, put simply, that means it is water based facial product that has a gel crossed with a jelly like texture, something quite a few brands are now using, so it isn't overly runny, but it isn't too thick either, it is sort of bouncy under your fingertips when you prod it. Once applied to the skin, there is an instant cooling feeling which I find quite refreshing, more so if it has been in the fridge and it is so incredibly lightweight, you cannot even feel it as it absorbs. The main ingredient used is the Bamboo both in sap which contain minerals and amino acids to help hydrate the skin, while the Bamboo fibers contain proteins and lipids to help maintain skin's natural moisture retention, something you need when your skin just feels in need of hydration. There is also Disospyros kaki, which you might know better as Sharon Fruit, is also an ingredient which is known for its astringent and illuminating properties, helping to keep skin supple and toned with its pore tightening effect.

This Erborian Bamboo Waterlock Mask can be used two ways. If you are wanted a quick fix then you simply apply a light layer to clean cleansed skin and leave for up to 10 minutes and rinse off or you can apply a layer and leave for as long as it takes for your skin to fully absorb the mask, which depending on how dry and thirsty your skin is, could be anything from ten minutes to half an hour. Whenever I use this mask, my skin literally sucks it up almost immediately and I am currently using it twice a week - once over the weekend and once mid-week.

The Erborian Bamboo Waterlock Mask retails at £44 for a 100ml and as far as I am concerned, it is well worth investing in, particularly right now when the weather is hard to predict and your skin is in need of some extra TLC

Erborian Ginseng Royale Collection

Skincare brand Erborian has announced the launch of its new Ginseng Royale Collection, available from February. The range harnesses the power of red ginseng, which helps to fight against the visible signs of ageing to moisturise the skin and improve its elasticity.  Ginseng takes 4-6 years to reach its full maturity before it can be harvested. Red Ginseng, which is used within this range is used for its moisturising and smoothing properties.

Products from this range include Eau De Ginseng, Ginseng Cleansing Milk and Elixir Au Ginseng.  I have been using two of these products and I have to admit, I am smitten with both.

Erborian Ginseng Royale Collection

Eau Ginseng (£32), a concentrated lotion to provide instant moisture to hydrate the skin and help skin look more radiant, noticeably smoother and softer; and Elixir Au Ginseng (£80), a youth micellar emulsion essence that mixes powerful ingredients to prevent the breakdown of collagen to delay to wrinkle formulation process, reduces skin redness and helps active collagen synthesis, while maintaining the structure of the dermis. I absolutely love Eau De Ginseng, it is one of those products which instantly hydrates the skin and in this weather is something we all need.  I use this after completing my cleanse both morning and evening and again apply using my fingertips but instead of massaging, I use a patting motion as suggested.

Elixir Au Ginseng (£80) - A Youth Micellar Emulsion Essence which is described as bring a youth Micellar Emulsion Essence, it has a really creamy but light texture which rapidly absorbs itself into the skin. The powerful ingredients help to prevent the breakdown of collagen, reduce redness and helps active collagen synthesis.  Again, another amazing product from the Ginseng range which is just absolutely divine to use, the pipette applicator is really helpful to dispense two drops onto your fingertips which you then massage into dry, clean skin.  It is ideal for being used both morning and evening into your face and neck.

Erborian is one of those brands that I just love.  Everything I have used has been just incredible and if you haven't yet discovered anything from the range, then it is one I really recommend trying.
