Bee Good Lime Blossom and Honey Lip Balm

You might remember last year when I announced there was to be a lip balm competition by the fabulous brand Bee Good and I then featured the winning Lip Balm here.  Well today I am sharing the runner up lip balm, which was inspired by the lovely Aarti from MrsJonasrecommends.
Bee Good Lime Blossom and Honey Lip Balm
Bee Good Lime Blossom and Honey Lip Balm

In its beautiful green packaging, Lime Blossom and Honey Lip Balm is described as being a rich, deeply replenishing lip balm to repair, intensively condition and soothe dry, chapped lips. As soon as the lid is removed, the one thing you get a hint of is zesty lime. The main ingredients include protective British beeswax, natural source vitamin E, British borage oil; a rich source of skin strengthening essential fatty acids and British echium oil to replenish dry skin. Add to that bee-friendly lime blossom and it makes for a really lovely lip balm.

The texture of the lip balm is similar the others within the range, not too runny but a slight squeeze of the tube releases enough balm to cover both lips.  The applicator is angled to make the application really easy and it melts and absorbs on contact with the skin, so there is no greasy Vaseline feeling at all.  It does leave your lips feeling hydrated and moisturised and of course the Zesty Lime scent is noteable.

Prices at just £4.75 it is great value you money, a perfect lip balm for the Spring and Summer and it can be bought online or in most Waitrose stores.

What scent would you want to see in a lipbalm?

Bee Good NectaPerfecta Beautifying Mask

When the Bee Good NectaPerfecta Beautifying Mask landed on my door mat, initially I had no idea it was from the amazing people at Bee Good, it looks totally different to what I had expected. That said, the words 4-in-1 product pricked my ears, more so because I am all for a multi-purpose product.

Bee Good NectaPerfecta Beautifying Mask
Bee Good NectaPerfecta Beautifying Mask
Bee Good NectaPerfecta Beautifying Mask

Inside this little pot, is a deliciously scented product which is not only suitable for all skin types, it is ideal for addressing a challenged complexion, brightening and revitalising ageing skin and rehydrating dry skin. The balm itseld smells just absolutely divine and it is a combination of British Wildflower Honey and something Citrusy, in this case it is 5 natural alpha hydroxy fruit acids from orange, lemon and bilberry.

I have used this balm as a lip balm and because I have had a bad cold, on the skin around my nose to help prevent tissue soreness from the constant nose blowing and it works really well.  Other uses include:
  • Facial Complexion Booster: There are a few ways you can use it. Firstly as a flash facial which is great if you are in a rush and need a quick fix. Simply apply for 60 seconds and then remove with a warm cloth. Equally if you have 5-10 minutes spare or even longer, then use as above and it is said to refine, hydrate and visibly improve skin suppleness whilst actively targeting the signs of ageing.
  • Weekly Scalp Treatment: This is next on my list to try as it claims to gently remove dead skin cells to help visibly hydrate and deliver moisture to the parched skin.  To use, warm a small amount in your palms and then apply to your scalp, massaging as you do so.  Leave for up to 10 minutes and then rise with warm water.
  • Hand Rescue Remedy: To add moisture and to hydrate hands and curticles. You can also use this as an overnight hand treatment.
  • SOS Mask: Or as Bee Good put it 'Dry or Challenged Areas' which include elbows, knees and feet to soften and gently remove dead skin cells.  Again, simply massage into these areas, remove ot leave overnight but remove with a warm cloth.  If using on the bottom of your feet, take extra care when walking!
This balm is turning out to be something that I never thought it would be and it is one of those products you didnt really know you needed until you had it try. A full size (100ml) is £39.50 and for a limited time you can pick up a 15ml trial size with any order over a £10 direct from Bee Good and QVC.s

Bee Good Plump and Firm Moisturiser

If you read my blog regularly, then you will be more than aware as to how fabulous I think the brand Bee Good are and how much I love their products. Whenever a new product lands on my doorstep, it is straight out of the packaging to try.

Bee Good Plump and Firm Moisturiser is an intensive daily moisturiser which is suitable for all skin types and it is packed full of amazing ingredients. British honey which is really hydrating for the skin, Raspberry Seed Oil which is antioxident rich and the amazing hyaluronic acid which helps your skin retain moisture and putting all of those ingredients together you have a cream which is said to:

  • Instantly plump, firm and smooth
  • Soften the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles
  • Skin looks and feels intensively hydrated
  • Skin looks dewy with a youthful luminosity
Bee Good Plump and Firm Moisturiser
Bee Good Plump and Firm Moisturiser

Designed to be used both in a morning and in the evening after you have completed your cleansing routine, this handy pump action bottle helps to dispense just enough cream with one pump.  The cream itself has a lovely luxurious feel to it and on the skin, it absorbs almost entirely on contact with the skin.  It smells absolutely divine and it definitely leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth to the touch and it is definitely much plumper, looks much more radiant and no longer looks as though I've not seen daylight for weeks.

If you find that your skin needs a little something extra during these cold, dark, horrible wet and windy times, then this cream would be more than perfect. I have absolutely loved using it and a 50ml tube retails for £23.50 and it is more than worth its money.

For those of you who have't heard of them, Bee Good is an independent British skincare company based in rural Hampshire, who have harnessed the centuries-old healing powers of British honey, propolis and beeswax in an innovative skincare range, designed to make a real difference without the use of parabens, synthetic colour, mineral oil, silicone or SLS/SLES. Each and every one of their products are described as being packed with hard-working intensively soothing ingredients, there is nothing better to care for your lips than this nourishing and protective treatment delivered from the flower, to the bee, to you.

Bee Good Raspberry & White Chocolate Lip Balm

You may remember some months ago that I posted here about a competition the fabulous Bee Good were hosting for one lucky blogger to come up with their dream lip balm which was won by Beauty Vlogger Joseph Harwood with his Raspberry and White Chocolate idea. Over 5000 people voted for this lip balm and here it is in all its glory.

Bee Good Raspberry & White Chocolate Lip Balm
Bee Good Raspberry & White Chocolate Lip Balm
Bee Good Raspberry & White Chocolate Lip Balm

Described as being a rich, deeply replenishing lip balm to repair, intensively condition and soothe dry chapped lips, it uses subtle, fruity raspberry notes which are balanced perfectly by the sweetness of the white chocolate. Not forgetting of course the inclusion of British beeswax, natural source vitamin E, British borage oil; a rich source of skin strengthening essential fatty acids and British echium oil to replenish dry skin.

So the lipbalm is encased in this raspberry shade tube, quite fitting for the product I feel and it has the slanted applicator which makes it really easy to use.  The balm glides onto the lips and almost immediately absorbs itself, it works really well as a primer before adding your lipstick too.  it is definitely moisturising and hydrating, something our lips are definitely going to need in these colder months.  The balm is also clear, so there is no hint of colour left on the lips and when it comes to the scent, it reminds me of those white chocolate mice you once got in a pick'n'mix with the red gooey middle, which I have to admit, I do really like.

This lipbalm launches later this month and will be priced at £4.75 which is an absolute bargain and you can find more about it right here

Don’t Step on a Bee Day - Bee Good Honey & Camelina Facial Exfoliator

Bee Good is one of my favourite brands, I am yet to dislike one of their products and I love the brand ethos. Today is #DontStepOnABeeDay and Bee's are quite precious. Did you know that globally the lives of our bees are still severely under threat. There's the deadly mite called Varroa accidentally imported from Asia, the loss of natural habitat, a lack of forage from declining wildflower meadows and a toxic cocktail of pesticides used widely in crop production. Just as these tiny insects have a vital role to play in the sustainability of humanity, we all have a role to play in their survival and the sustainability of their environment. Below are some top tips to help look after bees!

Aside from not stepping on Bees, Bee Good have just released the latest installment from their beauty range, the Honey & Camelina Facial Exfoliator and I have been using it for a few weeks now and absolutely love it.

Bee Good Honey & Camelina Facial Exfoliator
Bee Good Honey & Camelina Facial Exfoliator
Bee Good Honey & Camelina Facial Exfoliator

Why do I like it so much? Well
it is packed full of amazing ingredients such as:
  • British Wild Flower Honey - helps to moisturise the skin
  • British Propolis (extract) - Using its antibacterial properties on problematic skin
  • British Camelina sativa seed oil - helps to moisturise the skin
  • Wheatgerm oil - soothes and helps restore moisture
  • Milled Lavender flowers - gently yet effectively exfoliate without irritating

The advice for this exfoliator has been to use it one or twice a week, which I have been doing.  Texture wise it is really creamy and smells absolutely divine, but on the skin, whilst you can feel it working on the skin, it isn't overly abrasive and therefore doesn't scratch, but wow does it make your skin feel not only clean, but soft and smooth after using.

This is a great product to try, especially if you want an exfoliator that is kind to your skin, is a great one a week treat and is British!  It is a great way to fly the flag and help Bees.

Bee Good Honey & Crambe Daily Hand Cream

One of the brands I am glad to have made acquaintance with since I started blogging is Bee Good. Bee Good is an independent British skincare company based in rural Hampshire, who have harnessed the centuries-old healing powers of British honey, propolis and beeswax in an innovative skincare range, designed to make a real difference without the use of parabens, synthetic colour, mineral oil, silicone or SLS/SLES. Each and every one of their products are described as being packed with hard-working intensively soothing ingredients, there is nothing better to care for your lips than this nourishing and protective treatment delivered from the flower, to the bee, to you.

The product I have been using for the last month is this natural Honey & Crambe Hand Cream**. I am a huge fan of hand creams and I use a lot of it because I find working with a lot of paper, ink and spending time at a computer really does dry my hands out and I like to ensure I always have some cream to hand.

This hand cream is very rich but it absorbs itself really quickly with no effort. As you can expect if you are a fan of Bee Good products, it is packed full of ingredients to ensure your hands are extremely well moisturised and hydrated. As with most products from Bee Good you can expect to find British wild flower honey which is very moisturising, British propolis which is renowned for its antibacterial properties, pro-vitamin B5 which is skin softening and then British Crambe Oil which is said to be deeply nourishing for the skin. The final two ingredients British borage oil and camelina oil provide rich sources of essential fatty acids which help strengthen and protect the skin.

I absolutely love this hand cream, it is so luxurious and rich as well as being hydrating and moisturising, a perfect desk/handbag hero.

Bee Good launches Nationwide!

I am not going to lie, I love this range, it is fabulous and I am also a fan of bee's in general, they are such useful and important little creatures. When I heard that Bee Good was to launch in Waitrose on August 29th - that is this Friday, tomorrow, I whooped with joy!

For those of you who have't heard of them, Bee Good was born back in 2008 by husband and wife team, Simon and Caroline. As an experienced beekeeper for over 10 years, Simon keeps a number of hives in old orchards surrounding his home in rural Hampshire. As a champion of British bee-keeping, Simon works closely with the British Beekeeper’s Association, teaches beekeeping and is himself studying to become a “Master Beekeeper”.

Bee Good is an independent British skincare company based in rural Hampshire, who have harnessed the centuries-old healing powers of British honey, propolis and beeswax in an innovative skincare range, designed to make a real difference without the use of

  • parabens,
  • synthetic colour,
  • mineral oil,
  • silicone or
  • SLS/SLES.

Each and every one of their products are described as being packed with hard-working intensively soothing ingredients, there is nothing better to care for your lips than this nourishing and protective treatment delivered from the flower, to the bee, to you. Bee Good are proud to be the only British premium skincare brand to exclusively use British bee ingredients in all their products.

Here is a little more information about the range:

Bee Good Honey & Wild Water Mint 3-in-1 Cleansing Water 100ml

I have become a bit of a fan of the Bee Good range, the first product I tried came in the form of a hand-cream which I am yet to feature on BeautyqueenUK, though a review is coming. The second featured a lip-balm which you can read about HERE. Today's product from the Bee Good range is the Bee Good Honey and Wild Mint 3-in-1 Cleansing water.

The Cleanser is described as follows:

This 3-in-1 cleansing water dissolves make-up, cleanses and tones the skin - no water needed!
Gentle enough to use on the delicate eye area, it leaves skin bee-autifully clean, toned and refreshed.

Some people describe this product as a better alternative to Micellar Water, whilst I don't have that kind of experience and kind of sit on the fence where Micellar Water is concerned (as in, ive tried a few and yeah they are alright) I do really love this cleanser and have already bought a second bottle.

The first time I used this cleanser I loved it, as soon as you apply it to your face using a cotton wool pad, it is instantly refreshing and cooling on the skin. It also works to easily remove your make-up, along with stubborn waterproof mascaras like They're Real from Benefit, with no problems at all.

Bee Good Honey & Wild Water Mint 3-in-1 Cleansing Water 100ml

Bee Good Honey & Wild Water Mint 3-in-1 Cleansing Water 100ml

Bee Good Honey & Wild Water Mint 3-in-1 Cleansing Water 100ml

To use, you simply apply to a cotton wool pad and sweep over your entire face and neck area with no need to rinse off.  I was surprised at how much 'gunk' it did remove from my face, especially when I am having a make-up free day, usually on a Sunday when I do most of my cleaning.  What it does do is leave my face feeling clean and soft with no tightness or dryness, a problem I have found with one particular Micellar water.

As someone who likes to double-cleanse, I tend to use this Bee Good Cleanser as the first cleanse and for me it is perfect, at £10 for 100ml it is on the more expensive side, but with active ingredients such as British wild flower honey and propolis extract, wild water mint and red algae and being free from lots of things that are considered to be 'bad' - such as parabens, SLS, and mineral oil, it is worth every penny.

Another thing that I love about the Bee Good range is the outer packaging, not something I would usually get excited about, but when something like this pops through your door, it is bound to prick your interest. Like the Lip Balm, the cleanser came packaged inside a plain corrugated cardboard pillow pack, which is then secured with a bee patterned cotton ribbon, there is a label which is called a 'seeded paper label' and you can plant it into your compost and wait for the flowers to grow - How amazing is that?

Bee Good Vanilla & Honey Lip Balm

The reason I am blogging about this product today is that it is #DontStepOnABeeDay which you can read more about at the bottom of this post!

I am a bit of a lip balm addict, there I have admitted it, I cannot help myself. When asked if I would like to try the Bee Good deeply nourishing and seductively sweet Vanilla and Honey Lip Balm, I immediately said yes. Add to that I am also a big fan of bees and always plant bee friendly flowers in my garden and on my allotment.

Each and every one of their products are described as being packed with hard-working intensively soothing ingredients, there is nothing better to care for your lips than this nourishing and protective treatment delivered from the flower, to the bee, to you

The Lip Balm is described as follows:

Deeply nourishing, our Vanilla & Honey Lip Balm softens, protects and moisturises to bring welcome relief and rescue to dry or chapped lips. Packed with  hard-working intensive and soothing ingredients, your lips will be left perfectly conditioned and kissably soft and the delicious scent is truly addictive!

The first thing I love about the Bee Good range is the outer packaging, not something I would usually get excited about, but when something like this pops through your door, it is bound to prick your interest. Packaged inside a plain corrugated cardboard pillow pack, which is then secured with a bee patterned cotton ribbon, there is a label which is called a 'seeded paper label' and you can plant it into your compost and wait for the flowers to grow - How amazing is that?  I was totally blown away.

Bee Good Vanilla & Honey Lip Balm

Back to the lip balm, packaged inside a yellow squeezy coloured plastic tube which features some lovely bumblebees and the Union Jack to remind you the product was made using British Bees!  When using the lip balm, it has an angled tip so you can apply directly onto your lips if you prefer, personally, I always tend to squeeze some onto the end of my fingertip and apply, unless I am in a rush or on the tube and haven't time to wash my hands afterwards.

This lip balm smells incredible.  I am not a fan of vanilla scented things, it gives me a headache, but just imagine the scent of fresh honey and for me that is exactly what this is, not so much of the vanilla.  So why does it smell so good? Well the ingredients include protective British beeswax, naturally sourced vitamin E, British Borage Oil and British Echium Oil which are moisturising, nourishing and replenishing ingredients to help soften, smooth, protect and moisturise your lips, more so if they are dry and chapped.

After applying the balm, which is a fairly thin texture, it slowly absorbs into my lips rather than immediatly disappears which I don't mind at all because rather than sit on the surface looking all shiney and not doing alot, I feel it is working its way through each layer of skin giving it some TLC.  As it does sit on the lips it is neither tacky nor sticky but you know it is there, so it works better over lipstick than under it.

This lip balms costs just £4.75, and it is perfect for keeping in your handbag.
