S'Able Labs Skincare Review

Will he ever not be Luther and become James Bond? There is no doubt that right now, anything Idris Elba does becomes a media story and that includes launching S'Able Labs (which as well as being Elba's backwards) is a skincare collection with his wife Sabrina and ive been trying out a few of their products.

Explaining that with S'Able Labs there's no "his" or "her's" it has instead been made to benefit all skin types and skin tones, the conscious skincare brand aims to have a high impact on the skin, and low impact on the planet, while delivering great results for everyone.

The products I have been using are - Qasil Cleanser, Black Seed Toner and the Baobab Moisturiser, all of which are packaged in the most straightforward looking packaging with their Steel Grey bottles and tubes and everything you need to know is clearly visible to read.

First up is the Qasil Cleanser (£28) and it is not just any old cleanser, it is an exfoliating cleanser and I love everything about it, from the way the cleanser leaves the tube to the feel of it on my skin.  As cleansing is my favourite skincare step, I was really excited to use this!

Made from a balancing blend of Qasil, Kaolin and Oat Amino Acids, the texture of this cleanser is one that isn't too thick or too runny, it sits in between and applies like an absolute dream to the skin.  Then comes the inclusion of Shea Butter, Rice Milk and Squalane alongside Chamomile and Aloe Vera Powder which work together to moisturise the skin as well as leaving it soft and refreshed.

On the skin, this cleanser isn't abrasive at all, so it won't scratch the surface of your skin, but it does do an incredible job at removing everything in its path, the only thing I haven't tried it with is eye makeup because I use a separate product. It is fair to say I am really impressed with this cleanser, it ticks all its promised boxes and looks an feels every bit as luxurious as it sounds.

S’able Labs Qasil Cleanser is a fragrance-free, vegan and cruelty-free skincare product that is suitable for all skin types.

The next product is the Black Seed Toner (£35) and as Toners go, this one took me a few uses to get used to using.

Designed to be a tone that helps to refine the skin’s texture, it is formulated with black seed extract which helps to brighten and smooth the skin alongside a blend of five natural AHAs that work to brighten the skin’s tone and smooth its texture, while panthenol helps to moisturise and repair the skin and then finally there is the inclusion of ferulic acid and its job is to minimise hyper-pigmentation and fine lines.

As you can see, it is a powerhouse of ingredients and to use. As with any Toner, it should be used after cleansing and this one is designed to be sprayed onto the skin, both morning and evening and initially, spraying a Toner for me takes a few uses to get used too and you only need a few spritzes to ensure coverage of the face and neck and then I leave it for a few minutes to absorb and work its magic before completing the next step.

S’able Labs Black Seed Toner is a fragrance-free, vegan and cruelty-free skincare product that is suitable for all skin types.

The third and final product is the Baobab Moisturiser (£50) and its sells itself as being ultra-hydrating, fast-absorbing, and radiance-boosting.

Lightweight and a delight to apply, this moisturiser is formulated with baobab seed, shea butter and squalane, the three ingredients coming together to ensure the moisturiser works to reduce water loss and lock in moisture for better-hydrated skin. You will also find the inclusion of Licorice Root which provides a soothing effect, eases redness and irritation, bakuchiol which helps to minimise wrinkles and hyperpigmentation, and then niacinamide and Tranexamic Acid which work together to minimise the appearance or dark spots and pores.

I adore this moisturiser, it sinks into the skin quickly, it is lightweight and non-greasy but also leaves my skin feeling hydrated and smooth to the touch.  Again, suitable for all skin types, S’able Labs Baobab Moisturiser is a fragrance-free, vegan and cruelty-free.

This is a great collection of skincare products which ive loved using and have no doubt it will only expand over time.  You can find all three of these products and others from the range right here.
