The Most Romantic Things To Do In London For Couples

Any city can be romantic when you’re in the mood for love - and London offers everything from a couples massage to private dining. So no matter what you and your lover are into, here are a couple of suggestions for wonderful dates.

High Eating

If there is one thing about London, there are more skyscrapers than you can shake a stick at. You can choose from a wide range of rooms with a view and enjoy something delicious to eat.

Many people naturally look for the largest and most prominent figures on the skyline, like The Gherkin and The Shard, but there are a couple of smaller (in height but not in taste) places that should be given a shot.

Level 7 Restaurant at the Tate Modern serves up food to die for, and once you’re done, you can look around. The Amphitheater Restaurant offers delectable eats with a view that overlooks Covent Garden.

If you prefer to stare out the window and onto the water, the Royal Festival Hall offers views of the South Bank and Thames.

Pitch Black

Still on the subject of eating, but this time instead of eating in the sky, the lights go out. A unique gastro experience that instead of eating by candlelight, you eat in the complete dark. It is so dark, in fact, that you can’t see your hand in front of your face. Blacked-out windows and a room that is black as if you were asleep are available at Dans le Noir

The room is designed to enable conversation between those enjoying the food - and you only have three choices - vegan, pescatarian, and carnivore. From there, you get what you get!

Tumblers are in place of wine glasses, and the utensils are blunt - a perfect sensory experience for couples.

Board Games Night

It doesn’t all have to be wining and dining - instead, you can get your geek on - and share it with your partner by heading to a board games night! Penchant for spelling? Get the scrabble board out.

There are a couple of fun board game evenings and venues dotted around London, but you could choose something more tech-based and find one of the games cafes and book a booth for the evening so you can attempt to win a couple of races in Mario Kart.

Sharing hobbies is easy to do in London since you’ll be surrounded by everything you need and more.

Under The Stars

Is anything more romantic than staring up at the night sky and taking in just how beautiful the night can be? The Royal Observatory is the perfect place to go to stargaze.

Book tickets online, but make sure to add your Planetarium booking, too, because it is not included in the entry price. The Sky Tonight is one of the best options, as is Starstruck!

London is an amazing place to go, and you can choose anything from walking in the park, the Zoo, museums, art galleries, eating in the dark, sailing on the Thames, and so much more. The perfect place for an unforgettable date. Need some more super romantic tips for the warmer months Summer Romance: Tips
