Jane Iredale Dream Tint

I am not and never have been a fan of foundations which feel thick, are too thick and look too thick, I am much happier with light coverage or a tinted moisturiser for the majority of the time. The latest addition to my life comes from Jane Iredale with Dream Tint.
Jane Iredale Dream Tint
Since Dream Tint arrived, I have worn it almost every day. It not only has an SPF15 but is formulated with lightweight minerals and is described as being 'a tinted moisturiser that not only hydrates and provides sheer to medium coverage, but helps prevent trans-epidermal water loss'.  I have oily/combination skin which is dry on my cheeks, between my brows and currently, the tip of my nose, so I need to use something that doesn't stick to those dry patches or enhance them, Dream Tint does neither of those.   As well as those lightweight minerals, you will also find a hydrating blend of Shea Butter, Jojoba Seed oil and Algae extract and then there is White Tea Leaf Extract, a powerful antioxidant that helps to calm and soothe the skin.

When it comes to the texture of products like this, I am really picky. As I have mentioned, I am not a fan of overly thick formulas and have in the past tried a few tinted moisturisers which were so thick, I found them a nightmare to blend. Thankfully, this formula, I am delighted to say, blends like a dream onto the skin, whether you use a brush, sponge or your fingers.  The claim is that once applied it works to 'minimise the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and enlarged pores for a refined, soft-focus finish' and to some extent that is true fir me personally, though I don't have enlarged pores, it does give a soft focus finish and because the coverage is between sheer and medium, it does cover the redness I have on my cheek, just the one, amazingly.

Dream Tint is available in seven different shades which I have listed below.  As you can see from the swatches above, I suspected I would be the shade Light, which is the lightest of the shades and it works perfectly for me and my complexion and in the summer months, when I do pick up a slight tan, I could move to medium light.
  • Light (light beige)
  • Medium light (light medium with yellow undertones)
  • Medium (medium with yellow undertones)
  • Medium Dark (medium dark with peach gold undertones)
  • Warm Bronze (medium dark with peach undertones)
  • Dark (deep with golden undertones)
  • Peach Brightener (colour correcting light with strong peach tones)
Priced around £46, Dream Tint from Jane Iredale and if you are wanting to try a tinted moisturiser which does everything and more, then this is one to consider!
