Byoma Creamy Jelly Cleanser

I am sure by now, it is fairly obvious that not only am I obsessed with skincare but cleansing is the part of my routine I enjoy the most. Byoma is a brand I have seen all over my social media feed over the past few months and having read rave reviews of the Creamy Jelly Cleanser, FOMO got the better of me and my Boots points put to use.

Marc Elrick, the founder of Byoma started to develop the brand back in 2020, putting the initial COVID lockdown to good use with extensive research reaching the conclusion that better skin stems from a boosted skin barrier - and Byoma was born.

The Creamy Jelly Cleanser is described as being effective yet gentle, so it can be used both morning and evening as part of your routine. It works to break down dirt, debris, excess oil plus makeup whilst at the same time keeping your skin barrier intact. Using a unique blend of ingredients which are referred to as being 'barrier boosting' we have the Byoma tri-ceramide complexes (ceramides, cholesterol, fatty acids) working alongside antioxidant-rich licorice root and green tea extract which work to not only deeply nourish and soothe your skin, whilst helping to reduce sebum.

On the skin, this creamy jelly cleanser was not quite the texture I expected, instead of being a 'jelly' it is instead more of a gel. When it is mixed with water, this lightweight serum/gel cleanser transforms into a creamy lather to help remove all of that detritus from the skin, all without stripping the skin of moisture.  Despite the texture not being as expected, I have enjoyed using this product, it cleans the skin incredibly well to leave it feeling soft, smooth and nourished and definitely not taut or feeling stripped.  If that wasn't praise enough, Byoma do offer refills for their products, so you can use the bright and colourful bottles over and over again.

The Byoma Creamy Jelly Cleanser retails for £9.99 and is available online and in stores from Boots and Cult Beauty. It is also dermatologist tested and approved, soap-free, non-comedogenic, alcohol and fragrance-free, vegan and cruelty free.
