L’Occitane Delicate Shea Collection

Without question, The Almond Collection is my favourite from L'Occitane but running a close second second is Shea butter collection, especially the Comforting Oil, but new to the line-up comes the Delicate Shea Collection and essentially wow!

If you are new to L'Occitane as a brand, Shea is one of its most revered ingredients and it is purchased directly from women’s cooperatives in Burkina Faso and Ghana, improving the lives and working conditions of the shea butter producers, helping them to achieve financial independence and security.

The Delicate Shea collection is described as being a feminine, floral twist on the classic shea butter collection and it features a Nail & Cuticle Oil, Lip Balm, Hand Cream and Ultra Light Cream. I have two products which I have been using to share today and I have just loved both of them.

The first product is the Delicate Shea Lip Balm (£9) and I am a huge lip balm fiend, I go through tubes of them because I have really dry lips, so oils, balms and serums are very much my friend.

This lip balm, in its beautifully pink tube has a delicate floral scent to it. On the lips, this balm, which is more like a serum is enriched with 5% Shea Butter which works to nourish, smooth and condition the lips and as it does so, the scent of rose, violet and musk is there in the background and on a first whiff, it reminds me of palma violets and is just beautiful.

The second product, nestled in the most beautiful of tins, is the Ultra Light Cream (£22/125ml) and it is every bit as stunning as you can imagine it to be given its name.

The Light Cream is said to combine the nourishing properties of a balm but the texture, which I have shared on my Instagram stories, is incredibly light and almost like a mousse and I absolutely love how it feels on the skin.  Whipped and airy, it melts onto the skin almost as soon as it comes into contact with your skin and as it melts, it leaves that same delicate floral scent that the lip balm has, although it much more noticeable in this texture than the lip balm.

This collection is on sale right now and if you are a fan of Shea Butter and have tried the original collection, then this is definitely one you also need to try.
