Over a series of posts, I have shared some of the re-decoration we have been doing throughout our home - flooring, a brand new bathroom, the lounge, hallway and now kitchen, all of which started with Lockdown and has continued ever since. You start with one job, then another and before you know, it’s never-ending.
My main source of ideas and plans have come via Pinterest, I can spend hours looking through interior decor pins for every type of room, even the tiles on my bathroom wall are Pinterest inspired. The colours you choose as well as the accessories can all influence your mood and how you feel about your living space.
We have a boxy square shaped bedroom and currently it is the only room in the house that has yet to have any love or attention, other than a mood board on Pinterest. I would love to have a feature wall using wallpaper murals or even a different shade of paint, something that evokes a sense of calm and tranquillity and I am currently looking at soft greens or grey with blush, which seems to be very on trend.
The bedroom for many is a sanctuary, a place that they can escape too and shut out the world and for me, creating that space is as important as finding the right bed (which I still haven't done) and mattress as well as the rest of the furniture to make it as functional as it needs to be too. Naturally I would love to have walk-in ward
What I like about the idea of a mural wall is that you can now buy peel on and off wallpaper, so if you want to change it mid-way through the year, you can do so with ease or some companies now have an option that gives you the freedom to create your very own bespoke wallpaper, something I wish was available when I was a teen - wall to floor of my favourite bands!
If you are or want to decorate your bedroom, what colours are you looking at?
