Fenty Skin Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum

Fenty Beauty as a brand is one I am really not familiar with, or wasn't until I was kindly sent some products to try a few months ago.  I remember when Fenty first arrived in the UK and it really blew up, everyone raved about how amazing the highlighters are and then the Gloss Bomb, the product I am sharing today is one I have seen shared everywhere and raved about, but until recently I hadn't tried and that is Fat Water.

So the name is one which will raise eyebrows, but the Fenty Skin Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum isn't some kind of derogatory comment, in fact it is described as being a 2-in-1 toner-serum combo that targets pores, improves the look of dark spots, brightens, smooths, and fights shine—all without stripping skin.
What do you get when you combine the benefits of toner and serum in one? This universal game-changer snatches pores and dark spots and has a unique thick texture we bet you haven’t felt before – it’s Rihanna’s favourite step in her routine for a reason.
I do love using both a toner and a serum within my skincare routine but this is the first time I have used a 2-in-1 version and it has this really unique thick texture, which when it is squeezed out of the tube looks just like water, only fatter - hence the name! Now this product, which is like neither a toner or a serum, doesn't sit on the surface of the skin which I wasn't expecting at all, instead it absorbs much quicker and is just delightful to use.

Packed full of amazing ingredients, which are chosen for a whole host of different reasons and they include:
  • Niacinamide (a form of Vitamin B3): Helps reduce the look of dark spots, even skin tone, and fight excess shine
  • Barbados cherry (acerola): Every cherry is loaded with more vitamin C than an orange to help brighten
  • Australian lemon myrtle & witch hazel water: Help reduce oil and refine pores
  • Japanese raisin tree: It’s been used for over 1,000 years in Asia as a recovery treatment from long nights of partying; helps detoxify
  • Cactus flower: Thrives in the desert; helps hydrate
  • Green tea & fig: Rich in antioxidants to help defend against environmental stressors
To use, the instructions are to simply squeeze a pea-sized amount in your palms, then rub your hands together and pat it into your skin rather than rub and simply let it do its thing. On the skin, I had expected this to be slightly tacky, but it isn't at all, it just leaves my skin feeling hydrated and moisturised. There is a really light scent to this toner serum when using, it is almost like a bowl of cherries but because of the inclusion of figs, there is a earthiness to the scent too.   I also really like the thin streamlined bottle with its twisting cap means you can control how much you need to squeeze into the palms of your hands and both parts of the bottle are fully recyclable and because you are using your hands, you don't need to have or use cotton pads!

I am really impressed with the Fenty Skin Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum, it was the first product I used from the brand and whilst I am currently using a few other products to share in a few weeks time, for me, this was a really good place to start.

This is a 100ml bottle and it is priced around £27 in places such as Boots, Harvey Nichols and of course the Fenty Beauty site.
