This months Lookfantastic Beauty Box is titled 'All The Lights' and the theme behind the box is bringing together the joy that is fairy lights and sparkle of fireworks with spending time together at joyous events as we get ready for the festive season, enjoying the magical experiences we are now seemingly free to do. So putting together all of that exciting, warming and sparking events together, this box was created. Whether you are wanting to indulge in some self-care or some pre-office party prep.
As well as the theme, the colour of the box also plays a significance. Blue, Dark Blue is a colour of so many emotions and feelings but is also one which symbolises this time of the year pretty well - as it is pretty dark now much earlier with the clocks going back an hour. That aside, blue is also the colour of calm and serenity and as we all begin the build up to that big day, rushing around getting those presents, writing the cards, queuing and being amongst all the hustle and bustle, it is a timely reminder to ensure you make time for you.
The first product out of the box comes from Molton Brown with their Ylang Ylang Bath and Shower Gel, one of my favourite scents from the brand.
A relaxing scent which has top notes of tangerine, cardamom and ginger, heart notes of ylang-ylang and jasmine and then a base of vanilla, cedarwood and musk. Ylang Ylang is definitely the dominant scent within this product and what I love is that it is as warming as it is calming.
If you don't find Molton Brown in your box then one of two other products that could be hidden inside and they are - NCLA Cuticle Oil or Grow Gorgeous Balance Fibre Sealing Split End Treatment.
The second product in my box is from Balance Me with their BHA Exfoliate Concentrate and it is described as being a fast-action, fast-absorbing leave-on chemical exfoliation.
The formula works on those upper layers of skin to encourage dead skin cells to shed to reveal the healthier and more radiant layers underneath. It uses Salicylic Acid, Willow Bark and Tiger grass to to gently remove dead skin cells, fight blackheads, reduce blemishes, target enlarged pores, and improve hydration to reveal a softer, more youthful-looking and brighter skin, without causing redness or inflammation.
Keeping with the theme of self-care, the next product is from Le Mini Macron with their Moisturising Foot Mask. I am a huge fan of products like these, they are great for your feet and also give you a reason to sit down and do absolutely nothing whilst they work their magic.
This pair of socks are Lavender scented, so they are definitely designed to help relax and unwind. Designed for dry skin, these masks will help your tired, dry feet to feel relaxed, refreshed and deeply hydrated after using. As with similar products, these ones should also be used on freshly washed feet and once applied, left to work their magic for up to 20 minutes before removing.
Next up we have Prai with their Ageless Throat and Decolletage cream and it is described as being a lightweight formula designed to target ageing skin.
This cream is designed to work on the throat and décolletage, both of which are prone to sagging skin and this crème seeks to achieve a visibly firmer appearance. The formula is enriched with Mulberry, Saxifrage and Grapeseed Extracts as well as an ingredient called Sepilift DPHP™ which works to restore elasticity to skin. Then finally there is a combination of PRAI oil, Shea Butter and Hyaluronic acid and together these ingredients not only deliver moisture to the skin, but also a youthful glow and a supple appearance.
Comfort Zone Renight Cream which is described as being a soft rich night cream with antioxidant and protective actions for dehydrated, depleted and stressed skins.
This cream is said to be ideal for skin which is dry and dehydrated as it boasts a rich formulation to cocoon the skin into what is referred to as 'a conditioning veil of moisture'. Using a blend of Goji Berry Oil and Hydrolysed Tomato extract which deliver an advanced anti-oxidant protection and this in turn helps to protect against the damaging effects of environmental aggressors. Hyaluronic Acid is also used and it acts as a humectant and helps with creating a natural plumping effect to help reduce the appearance of fine lines. After using, you should awaken to skin that feels soft, smooth and replenished for lasting hydration
The final item in this months box comes from Diego Dalla Palma with the High Precision Long lasting Water Resistant Brow Pencil in a medium brown shade.
Designed to not only enhance your arches, the extra fine tip is designed to give you precision and natural coverage, making it perfect for filling, defining and shaping your brows. The Brow pencil has a soft, creamy formula which makes it easy to blend and it boasts of being impressively long-wearing thanks to its transfer-resistant, water and sweat-resistant staying power.
