Youth To The People Superfood Cleanser

Just when you don't think you need another cleanser, you get introduced to a brand and immediately want to try absolutely every other product they have within the range because you are just so impressed.  Youth To The People is a brand I have seen absolutely everywhere on my Instagram feed and I have only seen good reviews from people who have used the brand, It came into my life as part of the #WeAreAllies campaign led by REN Clean Skincare a few months ago and I've been obsessed ever since with the Superfood Cleanser.
Youth To The People Superfood Cleanser
Youth To The People is best described as being an eco-conscious brand whose products are powered by superfoods but perfected by science and they are committed to using and harnessing those superfoods which have a direct impact on your skin's health and less of one to the environment, a trend quite a few brands are now promising to look in to and tackle as we hear continuous reports of the disasters that Climate Change is bringing to the world and the fact we should all be doing more to recycle, re-use and ditch the plastic.

This Superfood Cleanser is my first venture into Youth To The People (YTTP) and I absolutely love it.  Housed inside a recyclable glass bottle with a pump dispenser for ease of use, the cleanser has a soothing gel-like texture which is described as having a 'wealth of vitamins to prep and pep-up your skin'.  Its job, like every other cleanser you will use is to remove makeup, sunscreen, dirt, grime, pollution and any other bits of gunk that sit on your skin and this one is no different.

Perfect for using both morning and evening, some have described this cleanser as being like a smoothie for your face. It features a proprietary superfoods blend of Kale, Spinach, Green Tea, Alfalfa, Vitamins C, E, K and they have all been chosen for specific reasons:
  • Kale - is rich in skin-loving phytonutrients as well as vitamins C, E and K.
  • Spinach - a lightweight skin-soother that boasts a high natural moisture content as well as cooling properties.
  • Green Tea - an anti-inflammatory oil which is packed with essential fatty acids.
  • Alfalfa - packed with essential nutrients, proteins and vitamins such as A,B,C,D and E it is known to soothe the skin as well as make dull skin look brighter and helping to protect it from free-radicals.
The advice when using this product on your skin is to ensure your skin is wet first and then apply 1-2 pumps of the cleanser onto wet hands and then rub together to create a light lather before massaging it onto the skin, you should ensure you massage the formula into the skin for at least 39 seconds to give the cold-pressed antioxidants the chance to work their magic. As the product is massaged into the skin, it has the most wonderful fresh and clean scent but with it comes a herbaceous scented, which if you love those slightly woody fragrances, you will love this, though it isn't a scent which lingers around for long periods of time.

After using this cleanser on my skin, it feels clean to the touch and without being stripped of all its natural moisture or feeling taut and as though I need to douse my skin in oil to bring that normal feeling back. It does an incredible job at removing everything in its path and I often use this both morning, when I only cleanse once and in an evening when I double cleanse, that is how much I have loved using it and I have since bought a smaller bottle to re-fill this one.

You can find this Youth To The People Superfood Cleanser via Cult Beauty with the 59ml bottle being priced at just £12 and perfect for anyone who wants to try before buying the bigger 237ml bottle which costs £31 - both of which you can find right here.
