Feelunique - Discover, Trial and Play Beauty Box

A few weeks ago I shared the news that Feelunique are to launch their very own beauty box called Discover, Trial and Play, only it is slightly different to what other brands have to offer with their beauty boxes because Feelunique let you choose which 5 products you would like to add to your box.  This monthly personalised subscription service which Feelunique describe as being the ultimate ‘to me, from me’ gift and all from just £11.95 each month, intrigued me so much, I ordered a one-off box and here it is.

The products, as you can see come packaged inside their own canvass drawstring bag, an item which is always handy to have for storage purposes, or for using in your suitcase if you have a holiday coming up or even just a few days away.  I actually found it quite hard to choose which products I wanted from this edit, but having looked through everything that there was on offer, I made my purchase.

The first item that went into my basket is from Emma Hardie, it is a product I already own and absolutely love with the Moisturising Hands Sanitiser (60ml) which is the perfect size at 60ml to pop into your handbag.

Slightly different to other hand sanitisers that I have used, from Emma Hardie you have a product that you can use to wash your hands as well as to sanitise them and despite being made up of 70% alcohol, it features so many amazing ingredients which work to prevent your hands from feeling dry and instead leave them feeling as though you have just applied the most nourishing of hand creams.

The second product within my box comes from Aurelia with their Botanical Cream Deodorant (50ml) with Eucalyptus, Lavender and Peppermint.  The reason I chose it is because I have heard and read so many good things about this product and wanted to give it a try.

The Botanical Cream Deodorant is described as being a natural, aluminium free product which has a cream-to-powder consistency. It features superfine powdered plant based botanicals such as antimicrobial Arrowroot and pure Kaolin which sit invisibly on the skin ready to absorb your natural perspiration throughout the day; retaining dryness, inhibiting bacteria which in turn results in long-lasting freshness. There is also the addition of Shea butter for its hydrating properties and then the essential oils of Tea tree, Eucalyptus and Peppermint which have both antiseptic and antibacterial properties and are blended with distilled Lavender and Bergamot to lightly fragrance and deodorise.

The third product I chose is from Natasha Denona and the only makeup product in this box. It is a single eyeshadow in the shade Sense.

Sense, which is featured on the Zendo palette is best described as being a slightly warm-toned, medium-dark brown and it has a metallic finish. It is an absolutely beautiful shade which I will get a lot of wear from when I begin to venture out of my comfort zone and back into the land of the living.

The next product comes from a brand that I also see absolutely everywhere and is yet one I have to try - Sol de Janiro with their Bom Dia Bright Cream (25ml).

This Cream is described as being a richly nourishing daily moisturiser which is designed to soothe dry skin for a silky-smooth result. Enriched with fruit AHA's and Vitamin C, this gently exfoliating cream helps to soothe the appearance of discolouration and because of the inclusion of cupuacu butter alongside willowbark extract, this cream is also deeply hydrating and helps to calm angry, stressed out skin.

The final product is one I have had sitting in my basket for some time now and it comes from Farmacy with their Green Clean Cleansing Balm (12ml). I absolutely love cleansing, I say it a lot but it is the favourite part of my routine!

This Cleansing Balm uses Papaya Extract and is a balm-to-oil formula which is described as creating a luxurious lather upon contact with water which works to gently exfoliate and refine skin, all without stripping or drying. Further ingredients include Sunflower and Ginger Root Oils which effectively dissolve stubborn makeup and impurities, whilst a revitalising blend of Lime, Bergamot and Orange Essential Oils leave skin feeling clean and fresh. Finally we have Echinacea GreenEnvy™ which is the brand's patented and exclusive plant and its job is tp promote a smooth, even tone and texture.

So there you have the five products which I chose as a one-off option to see what the subscription service might be like and I am hoping that every month, the choice of products changes even though there is just under 400 products to choose from. As mentioned, this box will cost just £11.95 a month and you will be able to choose whether or not you want one off box, or take an option to subscribe for 3, 6 or 12 months.  What I love about this idea is that it reminds me of You Beauty Box that I subscribed too until it was discontinued and every month, I used to love choosing my products, so I have high hopes for this!
