MUUSE Beauty Box - May Edition

Last month I introduced the Muuse Beauty Box to this blog, a box which is described as being a Unique Beauty Box, Muuse, has a team of beauty experts who get together to selected 6 UK based brands.
MUUSE Beauty Box - May Edition
Now that the sunnier months are upon us and we have got that bit more freedom, this box is all about celebrating the arrival of Spring and the end to Winter's dull skin, to do that this box is all about getting your glow on with a mixture of skincare and makeup, from brands you might not have heard of, or come across until now.

The first product out of the box is all about radiance and from Probiotic by Doctors Formula we have their Radiance Serum which has an RRP £95!

Described as being a serum to create that natural glow, it features key ingredients such as Relipidium which provide long lasting hydration, strengthens skins good bacteria as well as the skins defences and alongside it we have Xylitylglucoside, Anhydroxylitol, Xylitol all of which come together to boost hydration and minimise water loss for a glowing radiant looking skin.  The serum itself is really lightweight and not at all greasy.

The second product out of the box comes from Awake Organics with their Hibiscus-Mint Scalp Scrub which has an RRP £15 and it smells absolutely incredible.

Suitable for all hair types, this root-stimulating scalp scrub is said to revitalise your haircare routine. Designed to be used pre-shampoo up to twice a week, this scrub will invigorate the hairs roots as well as to exfoliate and prep the scalp for optimal hair growth. It uses ingredients such as Hibiscus flowers/leaves which helps to stimulate hair growth as well as being naturally acidic, it works to reduce greasiness and excess build up, Peppermint oil helps to keep your scalp happy, Coconut oil which is packed full of essential fatty acids helps deliver moisture, Castor Seed oil is high in ricinoleic acid, which helps balance the pH of your scalp. This scrub is cruelty-free, Vegan and is 100% natural and biodegradable. The scrub part comes from Himalayan pink salt and whilst it isn't too abrasive, you can definitely feel it working to remove those dead flakes of skin from your scalp as well as dissolving product build up, absorb excess oil and moisture.

Next we have Estate with their Dew Me Baked Highlighter and again, not a brand I have come across, but I do love the highlight this gives.  Another full-sized product with an RRP £7.15.

The shade in the box is After Glow and whilst it has the most beautiful lilac colour, it actually doesn't transfer that shade to the skin. The silky-smooth powder is designed to brighten and highlight skin in a single sweep, it blends seamlessly and smoothly whether you use a brush, a sponge or your finger. As the name suggests, it uses baked technology to create a sheer, light texture for a delicate look but if you like your highlight to pop, it is buildable.

The fourth product from the box is one of the strangest lipsticks I have ever encountered and even now, I look at it and the mind boggles.  From New York Hotdog comes Gorjue, a New York Cosmetics brand whose colours are said to have been inspired by foods from around the world.

Yes that is a burger you can see encased within the lipstick packaging... however, the shade is described as being a dark Mauve and it is vegan, cruelty-free, soy and gluten free.  On application, this lipstick is quite creamy and gives an opaque glossy finish.

The fourth product comes from Mallows Beauty with their Peel Mask and it is called 'Repeat After Me, I am Strong'.  A full sized sachet worth £4.90.
MUUSE Beauty Box - May Edition
This Pineapple and Mango Active Peel Enzyme Mask is designed to purify and brighten your skin by exfoliating dead skin cells, which in turn can help reduce blemishes or acne scarring. This mask also contains antioxidants such as Vitamin A, Oat Kernel Oil and Hibiscus Flower Extract.  Once on the skin, the instructions state to leave for no longer than 5-10 minutes before wiping away with a warm cloth.  Made in the UK, this is a Vegan brand.

The final product in this box is one you might have seen already on my blog, it comes from Kohl Kreatives and is the Mi-Fan Brush I raved about.  Another full-sized product worth £8.99.
MUUSE Beauty Box - May Edition
As I mentioned already, this brush brush is made entirely of processed rice husk, which makes it sustainable and its handle, which does look very similar to a chopstick, has been designed so that doesn't roll when you set it down, it is also easy to grip and is incredibly lightweight to hold.

As you can see, all of brands that are featured within this box are as promised from Muuse, in that they are committed and innovative in their fields. This box has an overall value of over £100 but, as it is a monthly subscription box, it costs just £15 which is a bargain. Better still, if it has caught your attention, I have a discount code which gives you the box for just £12.75 - simply use the code RachelS15 at the checkout.
