Revolution Super Dewy Skin Tint

I have a bit of a love/hate relation with Revolution, there are some products I absolutely love and there are some that I can’t quite believe have ever been released for sale. Over Christmas I bought two products from the latest launch and the one I am sharing today is from The Revolution Superdewy collection with the Superdewy Skin Tinted Moisturiser (£9.99).

Ever since I tried the Typology Tinted serums, I haven’t even looked at foundation, though these days it is rare I wear makeup anyway. From Revolution they describe this collection as follows:
the perfect blend of skincare and makeup. It’s the super easy beauty hack of creating the no makeup, makeup look with a dewy finish. The best kept secret in beauty - nobody will know you’re wearing makeup.
This is firmly the camp I am currently sitting in. Those who see me tend to be behind a camera on FaceTime, Teams, Zoom or whatever service it is decided we use for meetings, so my makeup is there to make me look less dead and more alert rather than glam for a night out.

Described as being a Tinted Moisturiser which is the brands first lightweight true-to-skin formula, it is designed to be that hybrid of skincare and makeup which blurs imperfections and evens skin tone but also offers a sheer hint of coverage. There is currently 12 shades available and they are:
  • Fair - For fairest skin tones with a yellow undertone
  • Light - For fairest skin tones with a pink undertone
  • Light Beige - For fair skin tones with a neutral undertone
  • Medium Light - For light/medium skin tones with a yellow undertone
  • Medium - For light-medium skin tones with a warm undertone
  • Medium Tan - For medium skin tones with a peach undertone
  • Tan - For medium skin tones with a golden undertone
  • Rich Tan - For medium skin tones with a golden undertone
  • Caramel – For dark skin tones with a golden undertone
  • Toffee – For dark skin tones with an olive undertone
  • Mocha - For deep skin tones with a warm undertone
  • Chestnut - For deep skin tones with a cool undertone
I am always the lightest shade when it comes to products like this and I took a gamble and ordered the shade Light as Fair wasn't in stock and that gamble paid off because it is a good match.

Enriched with antioxidant wild berry extract which helps to keep skin soft and smooth and it is also infused with 68% water to nourish the skin and provide long-lasting hydration. When it comes to the texture, for me it isn’t like that of a serum, it is slightly thicker but it blends really well whether you use a brush, a beauty blender or your fingertips.

The only downside of this Superdewy Tinted Moisturiser is that my skin isn’t super dewy and there is no glow. But as it isn’t usually a look I would opt for, it doesn’t bother me that much, I just like how it sits on my skin with no need to prime first.

Priced at just £9.99 it is a great product and one I am glad I took a gamble with and it has definitely made me want to look at the rest of the collection.
