Glossybox - Sing, Dance, Love, Repeat

The February edition of Glossybox arrived a few days ago and as well as the box being just fabulously designed, the theme is not quite what I was expecting. February as we are constantly told is the month of love and Glossybox state that one of their biggest loves is music and that is where the mantra “Sing, Dance, Love, Repeat” for the theme came from - clever right?

Inside this months box you will find five full sized products and the overall value is close to £100, so quite the bargain this month! Each product does have a skincare or makeup theme to it.

First out of the box from Avant Skincare, a brand which is definitely on the high end spectrum with their pricing. The product in question is the Velvet Perfecting Rose Sugar Lip Scrub which has an rrp £58.

This Velvet Perfecting Rose Sugar Lip Scrub is said to be fortified with ingredients such as Rose, Peony and Sweet Almond. Rose works to buff away dead skin cells and impurities to leave your lips feeling reveal soft, smooth and fresh. Peony, which is rich in anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and skin-soothing properties, aims to protect lips against free radicals, reducing pigmentation and enhancing lips’ natural glow. Then the inclusion of both Vitamin E, Sweet Almond oil work to keep your lips healthy whilst protecting them from UV radiation damage and helping them look softer, brighter and revitalised.

The second product out of the box comes from NudeStix with the Gel Color Lip + Cheek Balm. This product has an rrp £20.

I have the shade Siren which is a deep cherry red shade. Described as being a multipurpose beauty product, it not only works as a tinted lip balm, but can also be used to add a pop of colour to your cheeks. full of ingredients to keep your lips feeling soft and supple, this lip and cheek balm pencil is made with plant oils derived from rapeseed, sunflower, cottonseed and soybean and it is also infused with vitamin E for extra hydration.

From bubble T Cosmetics is the Peach Bellini Hand cream and it is also full sized and is said to have an rrp £4.99.

This hand cream is described as being packed with the fresh scents of ripe peaches and a touch of bubbles. There is also the addition of Aloe vera extract and ultra-moisturising shea butter to help keep your hands moisturised and nourished.

From Steve Laurant, a brand I’ve come to know via Glossybox, the fifth product is a Total Repair Lip Mask which has an rrp £5
Glossybox - Sing, Dance, Love, Repeat
Described as a mask which brings a burst of hydration to your lips whenever you need some extra love. It instantly soothes lips while reducing the appearance of fine lines with thanks to ingredients such as Irish Moss which is rich in fatty acids and helps to moisturise the skin and rose extract which is high in vitamin C and E so not only does it help to stimulate collagen, it is very moisturising.

The final item in the box is from Glow on 5th with their version of a Rose Gua Sha tool which is said to be worth £10.

If you have never used a Gua Sha tool before, it’s quite straightforward to use. It’s job is to help contour the face and neck, enhancing your features and resulting in a more youthful complexion. It also helps to flush out the lymphatic drainage which increases blood flow and circulation, both of which are essential for radiant, vibrant skin! For me, I don’t particularly like this tool for Glow on 5th, it’s made from plastic and does f have the same feel or effect that my Rose Quartz Gua Sha tool does, which is a shame.

So there you have this months box. Again, I do like the theme, it’s fun and I also love that there is a mixture of brands and of course whether you like skincare or makeup, there is the offering of both within this box.

As you will all know, Glossybox is a beauty box subscription service and it costs as little as £11 per month here*. If you have followed the Glossybox journey over the past year, then you will know that most boxes sell out super quickly, so I expect this one to do just that.
