Four Products from Temple Spa to create that 'At Home Spa Facial Treatment'

Temple Spa is a brand that I absolutely love, it is one I have used for quite some time now, I have featured their products on my blog many time and I have been lucky enough to meet the founders of the brand and learn the history.  Today I am sharing with you four products that, if you have ever wanted to try Temple Spa*, then this is a good introduction and equally if you are a fan of the brand and want to try something new, then there are a few new products too!

I make no secret of the fact that cleansing is the favourite part of my skincare routine and I adore cleaning balms, creams, oils and ultimately, despite working from home, I do still double cleanse in an evening. So the first product within my box is one you have all possibly heard of and might have event used.

In The Beginning Deep Cleansing Melt is one of Temple Spa's cult products. It is best described as being a nourishing face balm and cleanser, which with its buttery texture melts onto the skin. Within the formula are these tiny beads which gently exfoliate the skin as the balm melts away makeup, dirt and grime.

This Cleansing Balm has three key ingredients which have been chosen to work together to ensure your skin is cleansed and cleaned, they are:
  • Vitamin E which helps to soften skin and replenish dehydrated skin and maintain its oil balance, it reduces water loss to the transepidermal layer which improves the appearance of rough, dry and damaged skin.
  • Olive Fruit Extract which is not only packed with antioxidants which protect the skin against free radicals and environmental damage which causes premature ageing but it also penetrates the skin, locking in moisture and softening and smoothing the skin. It has a cleansing as well as hydrating effect, restoring skin and leaving it supple.
  • Calendula Fruit Extract which protects and restores dry and damaged skin from dehydration and premature ageing. It nourishes, softens and moisturises skin.
What I adore about this cleansing balm is firstly the relaxing scent, but the texture of the formula is just divine, it manages to really cleanse the skin without stripping it and leaving it feeling dry or taut.

The second product is a brand new release and it is the Clean Up Your Act Cleansing Brush* (£50.00). For use with any cleanser, rather than something specific, this double-sided cleansing brush works by deeply cleansing the skin with over 8000 sonic pulsations per minute to really give your skin that deep cleanse.

As mentioned, it is at dual sided cleansing brush and it features multi-textured, soft silicone bristles which not only remove 99.5% of dirt, makeup, impurities and excess oil, but the rejuvenation function sends low frequency sonic waves deep into your skin to encourage cell regeneration and diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for firmer looking skin. So far, I have really enjoyed using this brush and because it is cordless (it has a usb charger), there are no wires to trip over, but after cleansing it has a stand to sit on.

The next product is also new to Temple Spa and that is the Glowcolic Resurfacing Glycolic Acid Toner (£20.00)! Described as being no ordinary toner, tan exfoliating toner with natural glycolic acid that smooths, nourishes and balances your skin’s complexion.

It uses a blend of Mediterranean extracts, glycolic, mandelic and lactic acids all have their own job to do and it includes:
  • MEDITERRANEAN FRUIT EXTRACTS - Including grape, apple, lemon and orange. These antioxidants are rich in vitamin C and they provide gentle exfoliation, renew, nourish and brighten the skin.
  • GLYCOLIC ACID - This is an alpha-hydroxy acid or AHA for short and its job is to exfoliate built-up dead skin cells as well as to resurface dull, uneven skin for a smoother, brighter, more even-looking complexion.
  • MANDELIC ACID - another AHA and this one is a go-to anti-ageing ingredient in the world of skincare. It works to accelerate cell turnover by dissolving the tiny bonds that hold skin cells together, helping to remove dead skin on the surface that can lead to dull complexions, as well as fine lines.
  • LACTIC ACID - This is also an AHA and its job is to boost the exfoliation process and stimulates superficial cell growth. It also has moisturising and water-holding properties.
  • HYALURONIC ACID - A skincare ingredient favourite and its job is to provide essential moisturising and film-forming properties to the skin. It can hold 1,000 times its weight in water and in this formula it cushions the skin keeping it comfortable and protected.
The bottle, thankfully has a pump-action dispenser, so you get enough product from one pump to wipe across your face.  What I have loved about using this is that it doesn't feel harsh, it doesn't sting or tingle, what it is for me, is a great resurfacing toner which at £20 is an amazing price point. .

Finally we have the Quench Rejuvenating Mask* (£28) - Described as being an Anti-Ageing & Rejuvenating Mask for Dry Skin. Designed to moisturise, hydrate, nourish, plump and tone.

The mask itself is rich, it is creamy and it feels incredible on the skin. As you might expect from Temple Spa, it is packed with amazing ingredients which include:
  • APRICOT KERNEL OIL - This oil works to reduce roughness, irritation and it also helps to improve skin tone.
  • VITAMIN C - This is an antioxidant that helps revive dull, tired looking skin. it also stimulates the production of collagen which in turn helps too support, firm, tone and strengthen skin. It also works to slow down the signs of ageing by preventing damage from free radicals that cause dryness, wrinkles and fine lines.
  • AVOCADO OIL - This oil contains skin-nourishing vitamins A, D & E, as well as fatty acids including oleic acid which help maintain moisture for long lasting hydration.
With this mask, you smooth an even layer onto clean, damp skin using an upward, circular movement and then leave it to work its magic for 10 minutes, or a few hours but the best part, if your skin needs a but of TLC, you can even leave it on overnight and rinse your skin in the morning.

For me Temple Spa have some amazing products that you just need to try and better still, via their website there is a whole host of information on the ingredients each product uses, why it uses them, what you can pair it with and best of all, not only is this a British brand, it is also cruelty-free.
