After the excitement of the Roccabox Capsule 2.0 Box and then the launch of the Roccabox Advent Calendar for 2020, I am back with the October edit which brings the AM to PM theme.
The Team over at Roccabox have selected a whole bunch of products that you need for morning, day and night and have packaged it all up into a pink box. Inside this box, there is a total of five products and two bonus treats!
What I love about Roccabox is that they always have a 'Hero Product' and this month, that title belongs to Mudmasky with the Blue Light Protection Mask. Referred to as being 'Sunblock for your smartphone and laptop', Mudmasky have developed a product which is designed to protect your skin from HEV light, HEV stands for High Energy Visible (Light) - ideal for those who spend a lot of time behind a computer screen, laptop, or smartphone.
This mask has really caught my attention because blue light is something that I am researching for a stand alone post and it really is an eye opener. Designed to be worn on freshly washed and cleansed skin, you apply a thin layer to your face and leave it there for the entire day. Using four key ingredients which are:
- Carnosine -This is the main ingredient which protects against HEV Light. Said to boost your skin’s natural defense against daylight and radiations. It is also has powerful antioxidant properties that stimulate collagen synthesis and it protects against free radicals, firms, and smooths the skin.
- Tocopheryl Acetate - Also a strong antioxidant which helps to protect against premature changes and supports the formation of new cells. Vitamin E Acetate also has UV-protecting and inflammation-reducing properties.
- Natural Calendula - Helps to reduce inflammation
- Moroccan Lava Clay - A natural mineral clay that helps in the treatment of dehydrated, sensitive skin, and enlarged pores. It also helps build and strengthen the elasticity of the skin.
Mudmasky helpfully explain what HEV light is and how it affects your skin right here for those who do want to know more.
The second product within this box is from Eyeko with the Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner. This is a vegan, long-lasting, fade-proof and waterproof liquid liner.
On the eye, the tapered precision tip helps apply a single stroke of colour. What I love about this Eyeliner is that it doesn't drag the skin as you apply it, instead it glides smoothly across the waterline.
Next from the box is the Lavender Body Lotion by Grace and Stella and it smells just absolutely divine.
Lightly infused with Lavender, this cream is really nourishing. I have been using it on my arms including my elbows for the past week and whilst it is nourishing, the texture is quite lightweight when applied.
From Hairburst, we have the inclusion of the Volume & Growth Elixir which is described as being 'an award-winning styling spray that does it all and only contains naturally derived active ingredients'.
This spray is enriched with a potent, natural blend of Cloudberry, Nettle Extract and AnaGain, together they ensure that the treatment works to fortify each strand of hair from its root to the tip, smoothing the cuticle to minimise breakage and thinning as it goes. The formula also offers protection against heat styling, UV rays and pollution while delivering volume and texture for a fuller-looking finish.
I am a huge fan of facemasks and from BeautyPro we have the rather apt Pumpkin infused Sheet Mask, which for the month of October featuring Halloween.
This mask brightens the complexion and is nourishing thanks to the ingredients it uses such as natural enzymes and Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) from a variety of fruit and herb extracts, all of which help to increase cell renewal, while at the same time brightening and smoothing, leaving skin feeling soft and supple. Pumpkin contains Vitamin A & C which helps to boost collagen production.
Finally we have this months treats and there are two different brands featured within this months box.
First we have KIND Breakfast Bars which are described as being simple, delicious and nutritious. They are also gluten-free, high in fibre and 5 grains. Ideal for on the go when you just don't have enough time to prepare your breakfast.
The second product is from Flawsome Drinks and I have the Sweet and Sour Apple. Described as being a drink which is made with imperfect fruits (love this idea) that don't quite make it to the supermarket shelves. This is definitely fizzy and fruity and I really liked it!
Roccabox is a subscription service and there are further subscription offers available to choose from with boxes starting at just £10 per month plus P&P.
