If ever there was a collection of products with the perfect name for me, it is this one - House of Cats. The House of Cats is a described as being a Manicure and Prosecco bar (how perfect) here in London and as well as looking after your hands and feet, The House of Cats have curated their very own range of products too.
As you can see, the products look absolutely stunning and the lovely people at The House of Cats very kindly sent me a beautiful package of products to try. Included within the package is the Aloe Vera Hygiene Gel, Two bottles of Cuticle Oil, an Ultra Rich Hand & Body Cream plus an Ultra Rich Foot Cream.I am sure right now, we are all still remembering to wash our hands, whether you are still singing Happy Birthday or not, who knows, but I have found that I have gone through a whole lot of hand gel, more than I normally would do, since lockdown. Having switched to the House Of Cats Aloe Vera Gel, not only is it much kinder to my skin, it has these wonderful little Aloe Vera spheres which are suspended within the gel.
Despite containing a 60% Alcohol, this gel isn't at all drying on the hands, if anything, it is one of the most moisturising gels that I have used in quite some time. Mine lives in the bathroom on the side of the sink and thankfully, because this is pump action, it is really easy to use, with one pump being more than enough for each use. It does have a wonderfully fresh scent of Aloe Vera and I can imagine it would be really soothing on any burns! It is priced at £9 for 500ml.
I am hopeless at looking after my cuticles, I can just about remember to file my nails, usually if one has broken or I've managed to snag it somewhere. So, I was delighted to see two Nail and Cuticle oils withing my package, because I have made an effort to use them.
The first of the two oils is Ginger, Verbena and Lime and I absolutely love the scent of this, very much gets your attention with the scent of both Ginger and Lime. The second Cuticle Oil is Melon, Guava and Mango and also smells divine.
These two oils have been specially designed to preserve the skin’s softness as well as the natural elasticity of the nails. The use of added Vitamin E, Argan Oils and other specially selected ingredients come together to nourish and regenerate the skin, cuticles and the nail plate. Neither of these oils is overly greasy, usually the reason I tend not to use a cuticle oil, is it takes days to absorb and it ends up everywhere, with these, the use of the brush makes the application a breeze because they don't become overloaded with product and one swipe is enough for each nail. I am already a huge fan of these two and they cost just £9 each!
The Ultra Rich Foot Cream has been a delight to use also. During the Summer months, my feet and I live in Fitflops, they are by far the comfiest shoe I have ever worn, but my feet do always end up feeling dehydrated and in need of some TLC.
This foot cream is so rich and luxurious that it is a dream to use. After showering, I use this as an excuse to have a lie down, smother my feet in the cream and wait for it to absorb. It has been specially formulated to hydrate not only the skin of the feet but also the lower legs too, so when I apply it, I apply it pretty much to just above the ankle and wait for it to work its magic.
It has a great list of ingredients which includes Glycerin and Urea, both of which work to deeply moisturise the skin and preserve its water balance. Then we have added Bisabolol which has soothing properties before the rich Rosemary extract, which has regenerating and toning effects works its magic. It is priced at £19.
The final item in my package is the Ultra Rich Hand & Body Cream in Melon, Guava and Mango. I am never the best at using body creams, I always forget about them, unless they have really caught my attention - this pot is almost empty.
Again, this cream has been specially formulated to provide hydration for your skin and to do that, it comes with an impressive list of ingredients. Starting with Glycerine and Urea to help maintain the skin’s moisture levels high. Then we have Jojoba Oils and Shea Butter which help to moisturise and keep your skin soft as well as to provide protection from the harmful environmental influences and finally Bisabolol for its soothing and recovery properties.
As with the foot cream, this handy and body cream is incredibly luxurious and it just melts into the skin on application and of course it smells good enough to eat. A great little after shower/bath treat. This cream is priced at £19.
You can find all of these products on The House Of Cats website for sale and of course, their selection of treatments sound just divine too.
