Glossybox Skincare Sneak Preview - Launching Soon

Yes you did read that right! Glossybox, a brand known for their sell-out beauty boxes has launched a skincare range and I am sharing it with you today on the blog.  As a trusted beauty box subscription service for 9 years, over the last 12 months, the team behind the brand have been collecting feedback from customers who have told them what products they really want to use on their skin.  The main feedback being it needs to be easy-to-use, affordable, multi-functional and perhaps most importantly, it should be made with quality ingredients - so this is what we have!

If it didn't arrive in a cute pink box, would it be from Glossybox? Inside are 6 products (there is 10 in total) which are in environmentally friendly packaging, it is all cruelty free and finally, it is Vegan! The 6 products together work to create an incredible skincare routine should you decide that is how you want to use them and here they are:

What's inside the box?

First up we have a Gentle Foaming Cleanser. If you have sensitive skin and want to use a cleanser that leaves you with that clean feeling, then this is the one. It is fragrance free and it has three main ingredients - Cactus Stem Extract, Resurrection Leaf Extract and Kangaroo Paw Flower Extract. Together these ingredients remove dirt and impurities from your skin whilst at the same time soothing and hydrating without stripping the skin of all its moisture.
With each product, the team at Glossybox give you a Glossytip on how to best use your product and with this cleanser, the advice is to lather two pumps of the cleanser between your palms until it starts to foam and then massage it onto your skin.

The second product is the Exfoliating Clay Scrub. This is a weekly scrub which is a lovely shade of pink and is designed to deeply cleanse and remove all the dirt and detritus from your skin. Suitable for all skin types, it uses three main ingredients - Rice exfoliator, Pink Cornish Clay and a dose of both lactic and Glycolic Acids. Together they gently buff the skin and leave it feeling squeaky clean to the touch and without that being stripped of all moisture feeling.
The Glossytip for this Scrub is that it doubles up as a face mask. To use, apply a thin later onto your entire complexion and leave it to work its magic for around 10 minutes, then rinse off.

Having Cleansed and then Scrubbed, the next product is your 3-in-1-Moisturiser. Perfect for those of us who have an oily or combination skin type, this lightweight product is designed to give your skin a burst of hydration and it also plumps and primes.  The three main ingredients within this moisturiser are Hyaluronic Acid, Red Seaweed and Tsubaki Oil.   So with this product you have a moisturising cream which also creates a great base for your makeup.Glossybox Skincare Sneak Preview - Launching Soon
The Glossytip for this product is to pay special attention to uneven areas of you skin, such as your nose, chin and under-eye when applying as it will help to smooth out any cracks or fine lines which can make your makeup look cakey.

Eye care is as important as any other part of your skincase routine and I always use a different product.  From Glossybox we have the Eye Boost Cream which is described as being the ultimate treatment. Using Elderflower Extract, Eyebright Plant Extract and Red Seaweed and together they work to reduce bags, dark circles and refresh tired looking eyes all without irritation.Glossybox Skincare Sneak Preview - Launching Soon
The tip for this product is to store it in the fridge to create an extra cooling sensation when applying to the eye area further helping to soothe puffiness.

I mention face mists all the time, definitely something I use religiously and as a habit, particularly on hot days or when I have spent a lot of time in front of the computer.  So within this box, I was delighted to see the Hydrating Mist. Blending Hyaluronic Acid, Inca Inchi Oil and Babassu Oil, this mist can be used as a toner, primer and even just a refreshing hydrator to soften and nourish the skin.  I have used this already and what I love is that it is a mist, it isn't a spray that soaks you wet through and then stings as it settles on the skin.Glossybox Skincare Sneak Preview - Launching Soon
The top from Glossybox for this product is to keep it with you in your handbag or bag so you can be refreshed and hydrated on the go.

The final product within my collection is the Night Serum. I love lazy skincare and I love products that work my skin as I sleep. Designed to deeply nourish and brighten your skin, this serum uses Glycolic Acid, Blueberry Oil and Persian Silk Tree extract which bring some life to your dull, tried looking skin.Glossybox Skincare Sneak Preview - Launching Soon
The Glossytip to use this product is to create your own spa like treatment after cleansing and toning by applying dots of the serum across your complexion - particularly your cheeks, forehead and chin and then gently using the palms of your hands, press the serum into the skin under it is completely absorbed.

I have only had these products in my possession for a few days now and am taking my time to get to know them, so there will be further posts coming in later weeks, but in the meantime, I wanted to introduce the brand to you.  I am already impressed that a beauty subscription box has broken the mould to create their own skincare line and as I mentioned there are 4 other products to complete the line up and they are:
  • Deeply Cleansing Cream
  • Purifying Charcoal Cleanser
  • Daily Micellar Gel Cleanser
  • 3-in-1 Rich Moisturiser
I love that there are different cleansing options to choose from depending on your skin type, plus it gives you the chance to play around and get to know some skincare, prices start around £12 and rise upwards to £18. A reminder that this brand is an Eco-friendly, cruelty-free vegan brand which uses 100% renewable electricity and creates zero landfill waste.  All of the products are also made in the UK.

The skincare launches on 12th August via Glossybox and to be first in the queue to get your hands on some new skincare, there is a sign up list HERE.
