A couple of weeks ago I was kindly invited to the launch of the new Nutri-define range* from Jurlique. Using natural, Active ingredients its time to re-energise your skin.
Jurlique, if you are not aware of the brand, has been harvesting and growing Botanicals on their Biodynamic farm in South Australia for around 35 Years and regular readers of my blog will know that I am a huge fan of the Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist. The new Nutri-Define range is described as being a “breakthrough for the advanced signs of ageing and is one which uses powerful natural ingredients and Biosome6 Technology to restore luminosity, volume and suppleness". There are 6 products within the range and I have kindly been gifted three of them - Supreme Rejuvenating Serum, Supreme Eye Contour Balm and Supreme Restorative Light Cream to try.
Grown in the nutrient-rich hills of the farm in Adelaide, South Australia, Spilanthes Flower and Horseradish Root Extract are two of the primary ingredients within the Nutri-Define Range. Each of these ingredients is said to possess a wealth of naturally rejuvenating properties that assist in plumping the skin and infusing it with a hydrated, youthful glow. What I found really fascinating about the range is that the harvesting of the Spilanthes Flower only occurs on days when the moon passes through the 'Air and Light' signs of Libra, Gemini and Aquarius; flowers, substance and colour all thrive during these stages of the moon cycle making it the optimum time to harvest.
The Supreme Rejuvenating Serum (£86 for 30ml) is a silky, smooth serum containing the potency of Spilanthes Flower, Horseradish Root, and Snowflake extracts to help reduce the appearance of all signs of ageing. Featuring the Jurlique Advanced Biosome6 Technology delivery system, this serum delivers active ingredients to the skin to enhance barrier function and deliver radiant skin that glows.
The Supreme Eye Contour Balm (£52 for 15ml is described as being a rich, anti-ageing eye balm – visibly improves the appearance of deep wrinkles. The Nutri-Define Supreme Eye Contour Balm also features the Advanced Biosome6 encapsulation of Spilanthes Flower extract, Horseradish Root extract and Jurlique Botanical Blend for optimal delivery to the layers of the skin.
I am really picky about eye creams, for me, it is all about the consistency and texture, if it is too thick or too tacky, chances are I am not going to be using it. From Jurlique what we have is a balm that isn't quite a balm, it is more of a light cream and it is one which melts on contact with the skin and is just a delight to use. It comes with an applicator which, because it is metallic, is really soothing on the undereye and it is such a nice feeling.
Then finally we have the Supreme Restorative Light Cream (£75 for 50ml) and it is described as being a lightweight cream for intense hydration to deliver smooth, radiant skin. As with the rest of the range, this cream also features the Advanced Biosome6 encapsulation of Spilanthes Flower extract, Horseradish Root extract.
What I love about this cream is its texture, lightweight it might be, but on the skin, it is perhaps one of the most hydrating creams I have used in a very long time. I have combination oily skin, so from time to time, I do suffer from dry patches of skin on both my cheeks and my forehead, so this cream is the perfect tonic for not being too heavy.
The whole range from Jurlique which is free from silicones, sulfates, petrochemicals, PEG's, synthetic glycols, artificial colours and so much more is an absolute delight to use. It is a signature range, so is on the more expensive side, but it is definitely a luxurious treat.
The entire Nutri-Define Range Supreme range is available from Jurlique online* and if there was one product of this trio I would choose as the one to try, without question, it would be the Eye Contour Balm.
What I love about this serum is how it feels on my skin, as with all Jurlique serums, it has a silky smooth texture and it absorbs really quickly and is really hydrating. Using Horseradish Root Extract which is said to help improve the skin's firmness as well as helping to smooth the appearance of fine lines and firm the skin Then with the inclusion of Splianthes Extract which is described as being an astringent tonic herb that helps rebalance oiliness and soothe the skin.
