I was introduced to Evolve Organic Beauty almost a year ago with their Christmas collection and I have become such a huge fan of the brand. Evolve Organic Beauty products are lovingly handmade in small batches at their studio in Hertfordshire, England to ensure the freshness of the precious antioxidants in the natural oils, butter and extracts. The products are vegan, cruelty-free and eco-friendly.
One of my absolute favourite products from Evolve is the Radiant Glow Mask (£24). If you love the scent of chocolate and you love your skincare, then this mask is ticking both of those boxes because it smells good enough to eat! Suitable for all skin types, this rich mask has three main ingredients which turn it from being just an ordinary face mask into something quite special and they are:
- Raw Cacao is high in antioxidants which help protect the skin and improve hydration and complexion.
- It is also high in magnesium, vitamin C and the fatty acid Omega 6. These promote cell repair and rejuvenation.
- Sweet Almond Oil, rich in Vitamin A, E and Bs, has high moisturising, emollient and nourishing properties. It is easily absorbed and leaves skin nourished and not tacky.
- Blueberry Particles - Our blueberry particles are produced from the waste seeds obtained from the juicing industry. They are frozen at source to preserve their high level of nutrients after which the seeds are pressed to extract the oils. The remaining seeds are then freeze-dried and crushed to create the exfoliating particles that delicately buff away dead skin cells leaving skin smooth, soft and brightened.
Then there is the use of natural sugar extracts which turn this exfoliating mask into a creamy milk on contact with water, which rinses off easily and skin is left smooth, moisturised and calm. It is fragranced with Organic Vanilla oil, which did worry me slightly as I am not a fan of the vanilla scent, too much gives me a headache. Thankfully, that vanilla scent is not the main one for this mask, for me the Raw Cacoa overrides everything else.
On the skin, this mask doesn't dry rock solid, you apply a thick layer across your freshly cleansed skin, I use a spatula to apply mine and allow it to sit there for around 5 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water and a flannel or cloth of choice. My skin is combination-oily and I have had no adverse reactions to using this mask, it doesn't dry out my skin or leave it feeling taut, instead, I have smooth to the touch skin which feels fresh, clean and suitably nourished.
