I attended an event to showcase the new The three new products from The Inkey List. As soon as I saw The Inkey List has arrived at Cult Beauty I was intrigued because the price point is quite amazing. The Inkey List has a simple aim and that is to break through all of the beauty jargon that we often have to Google to find a definition of and to deliver a straightforward take on the skin care’s most-wanted ingredients and all for the price of a few Costa Coffees. The brand has a core collection of what they call their 20 hero products and they have formulated by a team of experts and scientists, so if you like your Retinols, Salicylic Acid and Hyaluronic Acid, then this range gives you absolutely everything you need to essentially customise your own skincare regime to suit your skin.
We all know brands throw around a lot of terminologies that we don't ever really understand, but what The Inkey List has done is break all of that down and made it simple, as well as teaching you how to pronounce something phonetically.
As you can see from one of the newly launched Multi-biotic you can clearly see it is pronounced mul-tee-bi-ot-ik and with it comes a description as to what it is and a definition as to what it does. The Multi-Biotic moisturiser is essentially like your Yakult that is for your gut but instead for your face. It is crammed full of good bacteria (aka. Pro-biotics), along with pre-biotics and post-biotics which all come together to balance your skin’s pH and promote a healthier complexion. The multi-tasker also improves moisture levels and protects against environmental aggressors.
The second product I was introduced too is the Polyglutamic Acid and it is described as being the is the dryness-banishing formula that all dehydrated skin types should add to their stash, why? Well, it uses a magic molecule, known as Polyglutamic Acid, which holds 4x more moisture than Hyaluronic Acid and we all know how amazing Hyaluronic Acid is for the skin, especially for the dry bits! Polyglutamic Acid has large molecules, allowing it to form a thin film on the skin’s surface to prevent water loss while plumping the appearance of fine lines and brightening lacklustre or uneven complexions.

Then finally we have Hepta-peptide, a patented peptide sequence, and this one is described as being perfect for the more mature skin. It is a lovely lightweight serum which works to instantly blur what is referred to as crepey skin, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles over time and hydrates with nourishing squalane. Ideal for mature skin with loss of volume, it contains a patented peptide sequence to boost skin renewal and help to promote your skin's strength and vitality.
As I have mentioned already, the line up from The Inkey List is quite amazing and easily recognisable from its simple black and white packaging making it easy to photograph but also, some of the other products from the line up are quite intriguing too. The ones which have caught my eye include Tumeric Cream Moisturiser and the Salicylic Acid Cleanser which both cost less than my current shampoo together!
