Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Clay Cleanser

There is a list as long as my arm of skincare brands which fascinate me, that I want to try and cannot wait to get my hands on and Sunday Riley was one them.  Ceramic Slip Clay Cleanser is one product I have wanted to try for some time and it was within this Mintd Box that I got my hands on it.

Designed to be used ideally on normal to oily skin, which I kind of have with combination skin which leaves me oily, this cleaner is described as being deep cleaning, pore purifying and balancing.  The one thing I was unsure of was how my skin would react to the Clay aspect because 9 times out of 10, anything which has clay within it, irritates my skin quite badly.  But, I have read so many encouraging reviews, nothing was going to stop me using it.

Formulate with a combination of French green clay and Moroccan rhassoul clay, both of these ingredients work to not only life away excess oil but to do so without drying out your skin. Alongside the clay, there is also.
  • Vitamin C: Tightens pores and boosts radiance.
  • Black Pepper: Stimulates circulation.
  • Sandalwood: Has anti-microbial properties, helps with skin irritation, inflammation, allergic conditions and eczema. Also promotes radiance.
  • Jasmine: Soothes and restores.
  • Frankincense: A natural astringent that tones the skin.
With its pump action bottle, you only really need one pump at a time because it is slightly runny.  I massage it onto damp skin and what was a clear liquid becomes milky when mixed with water and on the skin, it feels very unlike any other clay product I have ever used, it doesn't feel gritty or scratchy on the skin, infact it feels like most cleansers you will have tried, but with one difference, for me it did hoover up the excess oil, more so than a lot of other products I have tried and my skin didn't feel dry after using it, which impressed me a lot. I had expected my skin to feel so dry to the touch that I was slapping on all the oils I own in an effort to add moisture, but I didn't need to with this.

Priced around £35 here at Cult Beauty, I am told the product is currently undergoing a reformulation, so watch this space.
