GlossyBox: May 2018 Daydreamer Box

This month's Glossybox is really beautifully themed, its iconic pink box has been cast aside this month to create a special ‘Daydreamer’ design, which portrays a sense of relaxation and tranquillity. The May box contains a mixture of makeup, haircare, skincare, body care products and out of the 5 products included in this month’s box we see 4 full-size products and an EXTRA TREAT from ‘We are Tea’, totalling 6 products in May’s box.

The first product out of the box is a full-size GelSpa Just For Feet Soothe Jelly Foot Soak (£4.99 from Gelicity). Having spent a lot of my time on my feet for the past few days, all I want is something to soothe how sore and aching they are. This treatment is designed to calm and soothe overworked and tired feet and lets you relax to thanks to the wonderful aroma of Lemongrass and Lavender.

What I really liked about using this is that the specially developed powder actually turns water to gel. Literally, a miracle worker and having tried the foot products, I am now wanting to try the bath products too.

Next up is a full-size eyeshadow palette from Trifle Cosmetics whose product formulations are 100% cruelty-free, vegan, gluten-free and paraben-free. The Praline Palette (£15.99) is a Vegan 6-shade eyeshadow palette of metallic colours. Described as being "A playful palette of 6 intense, multifunctional eyeshadows that can be used wet or dry. The intense, vibrant shades range from a neutral bronze to wearable khaki and deep eggplant.

Formulated with creamy, coated micronized pigments to reduce shadow fall-out, these unique powders are hot-pressed into their godets for a strong yet velvety smooth texture". Designed to fit into your handbag, this palette also has a mirror in the lid and does come with a double ended applicator, but I was left disappointed that the shades are not as pigmented as I had hoped given the description.

Next in the box is a deluxe 100ml travel size Maria Nila True Soft Shampoo and True Soft Conditioner (travel size £3.98 and £4.99 from Sally Beauty). I have read quite a few reviews about the Maria Nila brand but until now haven't tried any of the products. A luxury Swedish brand, Maria Nila products are Vegan and 100% cruelty-free as well as being both Sulphate and Paraben Free.

The shampoo is described as being a softening, strengthening and moisturising, and the conditioner is colour-protecting, frizz-reducing and deeply conditioning. These leave your hair feeling so soft, smooth, clean and healthy.

Finally in this months box is a full-size Kueshi Double Effect Makeup Remover (£10.50). This product couldn't have arrived at a better time, as I've run out of makeup remover.

The blue phase is a gentle lotion which provides a cooling sensation to the skin and the clear phase is rich in smooth oils which gently remove makeup of any kind, including the hardest to remove waterproof mascara and it does so without the need to rub excessively on and around the eyes. I like that it doesn't leave a greasy film on the skin after using and it is also doesn't leave the skin feeling dry and taut.

I think the May box is a really good box and I like that there is a mixture of everything.
