Sleek highlighting palettes are always exciting. The Solstice Palette (here) I absolutely loved and now Cleopatra's Kiss has come in to claim the its rightful place as the go to palette. The packaging once again has that wow factor of being gold, bright and shiny and inside, well it is just as amazing.
The palette has 4 different shades with name that are inkeeping with the Ancient Egyptian theme - Sphinx, Delta, Dynasty and Goddess, all as stunning as each other but all completely different. Sphinx and Dynasty are baked highlighters where as Delta and Goddess are creams. Goddess being the one to really stand out for me because it takes on a rose gold hue whereas the other three have bronzed gold tones.
From left to right with the swatches you have Sphynx, Dynasty, Delta and Goddess and there have been so many tutorials and examples on how best to use this palette, so I asked a makeup artist friend of mine how she would use it and her advice was
- Use Sphinx which is the darker of the shades to make your brow-bones glow
- Add shimmer toyour cheekbones using Dynasty which takes on a bronze gold shade
- The bridge of the nose can be highlighted using Delta which is the palest gold shade
- Finally, use Goddess, the rose gold shade, to enhance your lips with a dusting of Goddess on your cupid’s bow
This compact also comes with a mirror and a mini powder brush, so using it on the go is perfect and the mirror takes up the entire top section of the palette and is really handy to have. Available now in Superdrug for £9.99 this palette is just amazing and superb value for money.
